  1. I seem to get this whenever the game auto saves so I've disabled it but how do I get around this when I want to start a new character? It always happens just when you finish creating one and I have no clue how to disable that one auto save.
  2. I tried this but I'm still having the problem. Is there anyone else who still has this problem or has other ways to solve it?
  3. When I was using an ATI Radeon HD 4600 card I hardly had any problems whatsoever. If I ever did crash it was to the desktop and it has probably happened about two times (when I updated the game to 1.2). I then decided to get rid of my old graphics card and installed ATI RAdeon HD 6870 along with a new power supply (I think it's a 750W one). Trust my luck that I now get the complete crash where I have to reset the pc otherwise I'm stuck with a powered off monitor and looping music. Great times... This happens every time I play Skyrim. I've tested it out on The Sims 3 and no problems playing that game.
  4. You could try using the 4GB Skyrim mod at Skyrim Nexus. I was getting purple textures and invisible walls and floors, and since I've used the mod to play the game I haven't came across any since (or it could just be luck!)
  5. I must be one of the lucky few who can play this patch with no problems. I rarely get crashes and I haven't really come across the game breaking bugs most people are experiencing.
  6. Looks like I haven't been getting any invisible walls and floors since I've been using the 4GB mod but there are times when I don't use it and still no problems. Weird. I'm planning on getting a new graphics card because mine is pretty old now. Thanks for the advice everyone! @centaurchester: That link is for the ATI HD 4650. The one I have is a 4600 which I don't think is on board since I upgrade my graphics card every now and again.
  7. Absorbing dragon souls will not automatically unlock your shouts. You have to go into the spells menu, go to shouts, and highlight the shout you want to learn. I think you have to press 'R' to unlock the highlighted shout.
  8. Some pics of the brown skins: http://picturepush.com/public/7038669 http://picturepush.com/public/7038759 @kieranh7: I've already verified the game's cache and it hasn't fixed it.
  9. I came across a Nord NPC who should have white skin, but instead looks brown. While running around I noticed more NPCs suffered from this, while there are others who are perfectly normal. Exiting the game and reloading the save doesn't solve the problem and I've also disabled any mods which changed the skins, which didn't make a difference. Has anyone else come across this and is it just a glitch or something that's happening because of my pc hardware?
  10. @centaurchester: I don't think it's too do with running too warm because when it does my pc makes a horrible noise. Skyrim doesn't kill my pc like other games such as the Sims 3. I also clean my pc regularly so it's not the problem. Could a mod like 4GB skyrim help?
  11. I've got ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series and my drivers are up to date. The longer I play, the more often this happens and I've never noticed this when I was playing this the first couple of days.
  12. I've been noticing how much invisible walls and floors have been appearing while playing the game. It's pretty annoying especially when you're fighting someone and the floor keeps appearing and disappearing due to the camera angle. Here are some screen shots: Missing texture on walls. Missing texture on floor.
