  1. Wondering if you would have to recreate entirely new textures or could you apply a coloured tint for each version for a dyeing system for equipment? Like take either vanilla textures or a mods texture with a modders permission of course and say colour each set piece on a crafting station akin to the shield design board from Immersive Armour with only a few basic colours like say black, white, blue, red, and yellow or gold?
  2. I have always found it odd that the Jarls don't equip their soldiers in better equipment or just have some stockpiled to combat the dangers to the holds- outlaws, the civil war, witches, hagravens, necromancers, vampires, werewolves, and ya know the dragons coming back. All of these threats and you think the Jarls would want to invest in even more protection for their soldiers to ensure their continued service especially if all the Jarls care about is maintaining a border and security defence of their cities and other settlements (Just ignore all the outlaws setting up shop that out-populate us). Just some basic munition type armour for their better trained soldiers you would think would be common practice, the captains and housecarls defending the Jarl or leading the enforcement of the Jarls will have even more reasons to be better equipped to show their station. Thoughts behind it and general lore rambling I understand the Great War and Civil War may have drained the coffers of the holds, not to mention any other ongoing problems that would drain the Holds wealth, but only really Whiterun seems to be the most strained because of wanting to stay neutral and being able to just barely pay the guards, to keep the city safe from outside threats. Smaller Holds like Falkreath, Morthal, and others have the protection of their liege Jarl/ alliegance in the Civil War to not really worry about the skirmishes, and they have access to mines and resources to outfit their troops to focus on consolidation of their hold even as small and less rich they might be. Markarth is rich in mines but has its problems with forsworn draining resources, but makes up for this with their wealth to buy the services of well equipped sellswords like the Silverblood Mercenary Atar you find with full steel plate armour in Karthwasten. Riften used to get its wealth from the fishing industry, now its the meadery and all the cities wealth has gone to the meadery too - which seems to have been spent on mercenaries at the BlackBriar Lodge all equipped in steel plate armour. Riften the city might be a shadow of its former days but the hold still has wealth and mines to equip its corrupt guards with :D Solitude is rich in trade from the East Empire Company and liege taxes from the other holds vassalized to them/ sided with the Imperials- Capital city equip your guards like it, any supplies and goods they get from the Empire and surplus wealth is no doubt spent on the Legions heavy gleam like fresh fallen snow and clank like a kitchen armour that the Stormcloaks talk about. Windhelm has trade from the docks and mines and liege taxes from the other holds vassalized to them/ sided with the Stormcloaks- I would imagine while certainly Ulfric could just continue outfitting his private army with gambesons to equip his skirmishing conscripted peasants and volunteers, his housecarls would be most definitely be outfitted with iron or most likely good steel to protect himself and his will on the city and hold at large. TLDR In short a mod with a level list of basic iron armour and basic steel armour, no Steel Plate Armour- Even Jarl Balgruuf only had Steel Plate Armour The demographic for guards, 70-80% still being the light armoured gambeson mail wearing vanilla guards, 30-20% being a heavy armoured unit group, iron being cheaper and a more available material to equip on on more soldiers 30-20% chance to spawn on guards steel being reserved for housecarls, captains, or just general retainers of the jarl 10-5% chance to spawn
  3. Why not have it that there is a faction of Volkihar exiles or descendants by disease or thinning of the bloodline that aim to feed off of other vampires ( Most likely new born vampires that they create and to make sure they can overpower them) to increase their bloods potency and reclaim their clans power for their own. And eventually overthrow Harkon's court.
  4. Thank you trold!! :D And thank you all for responding!
  5. The blueish one on the right looks like it would be made out of Stalhrim and quicksilver or skyforge steel.
  6. Hmmm, Is there a way to change a shout to turn into a spell or power like the firebolt spells? As for extra magical releases depending on the shout, I would probably say use 3 Incinerate spells and increase the amount of spells per word of the shout, for enchanting the sword fire breath; For frost breath use Ice Storm since it has that wave like attack; For Ice Form shout use Icy Spears. As for how the magic is projected as an attack I would say like an arrow formation/ or like the wind scar attack from Inuyasha- Maybe with the basic power attack, that being the bloodskaal blade energy attack add 3 energy attack projections for the first cluster/ and first word, add in additional waves of energy per word of the rage of ancients. Any chance of version of this with Twizzler77's sword as well?
  7. Hmmmmm, if your looking for an activation shout/ enchantment on the sword, why not just have with each word used upon the sword it just creates a earthquake/ground tremor/stagger effect to everything around the sword user, increasing with ferocity with each word? Which sword version are you using Twizzler77's or Ghosu's and Hotemochick1992's? Did you get the runes on the sword to work from the rage shout thing?
  8. @Catman030 For the sword charging effect while blocking, why not use the Auriel's Shield effect. For the colour of the sword energy blast, yeah I agree just keep it the same as the bloodskaal blade effect seems easier. Yeah either add it through console or put it in Miraak's inventory, should be easier than a quest.
  9. You guys could just always just place this in the inventory of Miraak, seems easier than trying the whole quest thing. As for the swords magical power, you could always just use an upgraded energy attack like the Bloodskaal blade, except its the colours of the dragon aspect shout. - Or if you want something more complex you could have it charge in power while blocking and it creates a ward like energy effect that flows like air resistance from the sword and around your body as one object, with each word of the shout it increases in power. Until finally a mighty blast of raging energy.
  10. ........ hah? Just bouncing off ideas, with lore sprinkles on top :3
  11. No worries, would love to help in this with either design sketches or voice acting if you want. For the daedra cult, theres the active coven of Cannibals that worship Namira, that the dragonborn can join in "The Taste of Death" quest this temple is located in Reachcliff cave. The abandoned house in Markarth during the "House of Horrors" quest is an old forgotten, shrine to Molag Bal. - Not sure how you could make a quest line out of these since Molag Bal's shrine is abandoned and the only person who knows about its existence is the Dragonborn; As for the coven of cannibals that worship Namira, they would probably just ask you to bring more "guests" for dinner. Hmmm the Dawnguard using Ballistas makes me think of the movie "Underworld Rise of the Lycans" where they used them from the walls to kill the werewolf onslaught. Perhaps a wooden/ upgraded or mixed between human and dwemer tech version of the Ballista would make more sense since the Dawnguard is not exactly made of money to be making a brand new dwarven ballistas, their like solid metal, for their size they would be worth a fortune- thats alot of gold to used on one ballista. The Volkihar members aren't interested in acquiring power unless its to give it to the dragonborn, and they could care less of what the Dawnguard does, since they value them as a insignificant threat. Like bugs beneath their feet. The only thing they do seem to actively care about is making sure the feral vampire population is under control and isn't scaring/ riling up the mortals. You could perhaps go with since all this end of days activity and everything being so lively with dragons returning, the tyranny of the sun being ended I think this would probably stir all of the creatures of the night into a craze, perhaps the feral vampires start amassing an army as an opposite faction to the Volkihar. Werewolves could be going rampant with the Hall of the Vigilants and the Silver Hand being destroyed and are now multiplying in droves. For locations for the quest, just like the Dawnguard DLC that fit everything in the Skyrim landspace without looking out of place you could have all of this be located in isolated canyons like the Forgotten Vale or Dayspring Canyon- Its like its own little world yet is in Skyrim, It could all revolve around some isolated nordic kingdoms being found in the mountains, and then being infested and breeding this onslaught of a creature feast from all this lush isolated populace.
  12. I never said it should be anything, I'm just bouncing off ideas haha, and mostly going from my interpretation of the lore. Only sent those links to see if they would have helped at all, as for your vision of the mod, well its your mod- I bet they would align since I'm down for some more dawnguard material XD
  13. @harvengure - Hopefully the Vigilants would be working with the Vigilants, but they wouldn't be fighting on the front lines because in game Isran said they were not properly trained for fighting vampires which is proved true when Tolan refuses to listen Isran's warning of not going to Dimhollow Crypt and gets killed immediately by the lesser guard vampires. If the Vigilants were to join the fight, they would probably have to either be stuck with researching, study of magical advancement of healing/curing and offensive/defencive techniques. If they were to join the physical fight they would have to be accompanied by 2-3 Dawnguard troops per 1 Vigilant, they would act as the support/medical unit. As for a truce between the Volkihar ruled now by the new lord of the castle the Dragonborn and the Dawnguard, doesn't sound that far fetched since the Dragonborn stopped Harkon's whole plot of the Tyranny of the Sun prophecy being fulfilled. So the dawnguard should be pretty grateful that this whole vampire problem has ended, and that the otherside is willing to help them stop all the loose ends of feral vampires and any other problems to Skyrim. If Isran was open to Serana staying and helping them, he shouldn't be against other good creatures of night helping them. If your planning to redo Fort Dawnguard heres a link to help, if you wanted to integrate it with yours. For Castle Volkihar http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24367/? - Heres a link to a Fort Dawnguard Enhanced, its pretty lore friendly, just needs a basement cell where the Old Dawnguard held the Jarl of Riften's son who turned into a vampire http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22835/? - Heres some links to Castle Volkihar http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=111437572 And heres another one, except this one is customizable for any faction to show its flags, http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41447/?
  14. @harvengure - I believe they do move to Stendar's Beacon to an extent, its more of like that the majority of the vigilants are dead, and its only the remnants that remain in Skyrim/ all of the vigilants are now disorganized from losing their command and are probably being picked off one by one by the vampires. The two factions probably conflict with each other too much, and the Dawnguard probably took over the Vigilants role for protecting Skyrim. What would also be cool, if the Dragonborn sided with the Volkihar and became the lord of the castle after the quest; instead of destroying the Dawnguard they could make/ force an alliance and essentially help them with getting rid of the feral vampire problem, or any others problems for that matter.
  15. @harvengure - haha XD, if your going to mod it into the game, please send me a link to download, my vampire lord character has been desiring a sword to smite the feral vampires! As for dawnguard armor, I believe there is a retextured but standalone witcher plate armor with the dawnguard symbol on it. Heres a the link to it http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22602/?
  16. Some one has made a 3d model of a Dawnguard Sword here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/images/265563/? and here http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/Images/265564/? It just needs someone to add it into the game
  17. @ThatGuyYeah- Thanks, I'm not sure if this helps at all, but it might be easier just to work in it for it to be an additional dialogue option to ask Serana if she needs to feed/ if shes hungry and then initiate the feeding animation (the one where she does the whole embrace then bites you on the neck) @Hallgarth as for lore into Vampire Lords not needing to feed; Harkon was referring that you can feed to stave off the sun heres the dialogue quote "There is one last thing you must know. Slaying mortal men with your life drain grants you new night powers and blood magic. I keep a stable of thralls in the castle should you need to feed like the baser vampires to stave off the sun. That is all I have to teach you. If you wish to be reminded of these lessons, you need only ask. I have a task that will test your new powers, but first, do you have any questions?" If the Sons and Daughters of Coldharbour (the ones turned by Molag Bal himself) didn't need to feed to stop the effects of the sun, then Harkons whole " The Tyranny of the Sun" would be a pointless extreme exaggeration, since the dialogue of Serana complaints of the sun just makes it seem like an inconvenience to them. So aside from the plot hole of Harkons motives and self justification for his actions; I think the purebloods do need to feed, its just that they don't go feral and lose their minds like the common blood vampires from being blood starved. Harkon also tells you about being a vampire, whether he is referring to vampirism in general or the purebloods in his court I don't know but heres the quote- Tell me again about being a Vampire Lord: "When you first transform into a Vampire Lord, you will hover in the air. While you do, you will command the powers of Blood and Night. Descend to the ground, and you can attack with your claws and feed upon your prey to regain your strength. With experience, your powers will grow and you will discover new ways to use them." What must I know about being a vampire?: "With each passing day that you do not feed, that weakness will become more deadly, but your powers will also become stronger. Feed upon those who are sleeping, and your vulnerability to sunlight will diminish along with your powers." As for the mod for Serana whose to say Serana can't give into her vampiric desires and bloodlust and become drunk on the scent of it when shes hungry
  18. I think a mod where Serana will occasionally ask you if she can feed on you so she can control her bloodlust so she doesn't attack innocent people in town. This could leave it open to the somewhat intimate relationship that Bethesda had between the Dovahkiin and Serana to be increased since you will have more of a reason to stand up for her to Isran, the dawnguard, and the vigilants of stendar. Since you want to defend this vampire friend more because she doesn't want to kill people or vampires for food but accepts herself for what she is a creature that needs to feed to live. For the mod it would just require you to either give blood potions, or kill some creatures or npc's (bandits) and tell her when to feed because you wouldn't want her to be feeding all willy nilly because you want to stay in some form of being incognito of being with a vampire. Now when you tell her to feed on something other than yourself she could sigh or show a sign of disappointment because she wanted to feed on you. But if you talk to her and allow her to feed on yourself she could say something on the lines of "I'm sorry, but thank you" then feed on you and she would need to feed like every 4 days and if she goes past like 5 or 6 she will feed on anything close by- most likely the Dragonborn and after feeding and either feed to much and nearly kill you or be able to resist her urges of draining you dry and apologize profusely for hurting her friend.
  19. What about Tsukune??? Also you should read the manga its much better than the anime, since the anime doesn't do the series a justice- Since the series in my opinion is on par with some of the bigger series. As for your mod, we already have a succubus race, For Ruby maybe a custom vampire lord form but with the 6 crow like wings (wings like a seraph) and then her final form which would be her Iron maiden ability which gives her only Two wings and covers her in iron armour and gauntlet claws. As for Moka you just need her silver hair but her new form that gets shown in the manga is an armoured dress with shoulder pauldrons and boots that cause explosive kicks on impact. Mizore would just need a custom ice gauntlet blade weapon to dual wield and just a custom spell to appear more ice like and or a custom clone spell/ summonable clones made of ice. And finally for Tsukune you would need his demon form and his shinso controlled form and maybe just some spells to activate his different stages/ forms like if he activates his ghoul form his bite markings would show up on his skin and would increase his stats from speed to unarmed damage; Overall instead of entirely new races I think it would be easier to just make custom followers?
