  1. Update: I checked a lot of the other vanilla followers and it looks like they have some similar packages, so I guess I'll be ok . . .
  2. I am making a few custom followers for my own use but I wasn't sure about their ability to join different factions like The Blades. If I have selected a voice type that typically could join the blades, do I have to change any faction affiliations or do anything else for them to be candidates during the quest? I also wanted to confirm from someone that custom followers placed in the world behaved normally when married or made stewards of the Hearthfire player homes. My custom followers are hanging out at Gilfre's unused work house in Mixwater Mill, and I added just a few AI packages: defaulteditorsleep, defaulteditoreat, and defaulteditorsandbox. Will these packages make my followers return to Mixwater Mill everyday even if I have married them and moved them to a Hearthfire home? I would like to make sure any I make Blades will stay put at Skyhaven as well.
  3. Thank you both so much for the answers! Recreating the forms sounds like the route I'll go, especially since there are perhaps a dozen armor sets or weapons total that I want to import from the various mods I've seen. There are some amazing armor sets out there with unique textures and meshes that seem very lore friendly--and some that aren't so lore friendly, from my perspective. It sounds like it might be more worth it to just edit the original mods, though. I'm worried about adding a lot of assets into my game, but from what I'm reading 15-20 mods may not adversely affect my experience. There would be about 8 armor and weapon mods that I'd be pulling from. As long as I can change the names of the armor peices and weapons, I'd be fine.
  4. Hello everyone! I'm thinking of doing some very light modding to Skyrim, mostly changing classes on followers and tailoring their equipment to my idea of their role in the game. All modding that I would do would be for my own personal use and I would not be reposting the mod. Before I go down this road, however, I wanted to ask if it were possible to pick and choose the armor models I wanted from a mod like immersive armors, among others, edit their stats and things like who wears them by default, their names, and perhaps edit their ability to be crafted or not, and combine those armors and weapons I want into my own private use mod. Would this process be overly complicated? I assume it mostly requires copying file parts and assigning them correctly. I don't need a tutorial for the process; I haven't even started learning about modding, and so more technical answers probably won't help me. I'll happily look up the tutorials for it when I get there. I looked through the boards but couldn't find this question answered simply, though. I hope that I am able to do so: I want to make a few changes without bogging down my game with an endless list of mods, and I'm not really interested in many of the mods as they stand since they place the armor already in the world or make it craftable or dropable when I feel it should be unique. I appreciate that you've read this post and thank anyone who answers in advance.
