  1. AFAIK access violation is a problem with memory. It could be one of a few things 1. It doesn't have permission 2. It cannot find the information in memory 3. RAM is broken #3 is unusual and unlikely to ever be the problem especially in this case. #1 Could be a problem but generally with skyrim it isn't about that So we're left with #2. It can't find the information in memory. Why would that be? Basically (and this is as far as I know, so take it as a grain of salt).... A mod is trying to access something in memory that isn't there. What is it trying to access? I don't know but most probably reference from a master file that isn't there or hasn't loaded yet (bad load order). BUT you should run LOOT and see if there's any missing masters. If it can't find anything and there's no errors and you successfully sorted and applied the load order and it keeps crashing then you should do the A/B testing. Narrow it down. Disable all your mods, run the game, see if it works. Good? OK. Now enable the biggest mods you have and run it again, still OK? No? Disable some of those mods and see which one is causing the issue and go from there. Just looking at your list I see A LOT of JK patches. Isn't there a consolidated file with all of those so you don't have to run like 300 mods? You also have Bruma patches but I don't think you have Bruma? Hard to tell but Bruma is problematic with some mods from what I've been reading right now. It might be that as well. Running LOOT is likely going to help you figure this out at least.
  2. I was doing that last night and forgot that those were part of the requirement since i just went back and looked at the requirement list and those weren't there in the list but down the page instead when I was creating this post. Point being is that most of the follower mods have this issue and I have met the prerequisite mods so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. Edit: As it turns out i figured it out somehow. 1. I installed more mods (obviously this fixes things right?) 2. A mod was telling me that papyrus was having dll issues (manual install fixed this) 3. I fixed that, turns out there were other issues 4. Fixed a few more possible conflicts 5. Ran loot 6. deleted all save files Seems to work. Not sure which part fixed it but something did.
  3. True, and yes i have all of those installed already. It's possible they forgot to list other requirements =/
  4. Hello, I'm having issues with follower mods that use high poly faces etc... The load order seems correct (they load AFTER mods like CBBE, beautiful faces, HDT etc) For example I would try this mod: Kurone Nina Follower https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55071 She looks awful in mine, like potato quality, nothing at all like in the picture. The requirements are BodySlide and Outfit Studio CBBE 3BA (3BBB) (I use CBBE) HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics) Relationship Dialogue Overhaul - RDO SE To add to this I also have FSMP - Faster HDT-SMP HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics) HDT-SMP Full Collision XML For good measure. (Last one there was out of desperation) Then there's Miri - Standalone Hybrid Khajiit Follower The requirements is just CBP Physics which is only jiggle physics And yet her face is horrendously awful. Is there a mod that does work? Yes, quite a few. One in particular is Yakyumi - Follower and Erdi Replacer SEhttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/39219 This one works fine. Her face is beautiful like in the picture but for some reason the hand textures are pure white. I downloaded the 4k textures and added them afterwards. Not sure what happened there but the point is that her face isn't potato like the others. What am I doing wrong? lol
  5. Let's be honest, most of us play the game in first person and yet we spend like 30 hours finding the perfect mods to make us look amazing. This sounds weird but then you come to realize that it wasn't about you, it was about your followers. You need to really spice things up by making your followers look nice, sound great, and act appropriately because.... immersion! You can't see yourself 99% of the time but you do see your partner in cri--- i mean hero in cri--- i mean.... Well, you know.... I usually don't play with NPCs but I felt like changing it up this playthrough and realized after 11 years the importance of having a quality waifu along your side. Ps. Don't tell my wife
  6. Oh thank god. I've seen countless threads regarding this as a dead mod and author this and author that. Looks like they are the ones spreading false information and drama instead of the other way around. Carry on and my apologies. I remember open cities being a must-have, I was heavily disappointed when I could only find dated versions of it since I don't bother with bethesda.net and assumed the worst.
  7. video memory is going to be the biggest obstacle but being that it's a 2080TI where the TI is emphasis on vram, you should be fine. I used to run 2k/4k textures on a 1070GTX back in the day and right now with a 3080RTX I have no more performance issues in bed, i mean... Playing the game. It's very nice. I have even the 8k texture mods for a lot of things. Go as hard as you can and pull back if you get performance issues :)
  8. Seems like there's a list of people in the permission and credits tab. I'm sure at least one of them will know something if you ask them about it. Who knows, maybe the author of the mod hasn't played the game in years and doesn't know that there are issues? Seems like you can probably change it with attribution but as long as you use your own assets. It's a bit difficult to tell what you can and can't do. Alternatively, a new UI system could be made to replace it :P But yeah, ask the author what's up and send a message to the others who helped this project. Someone is bound to answer the phone.
  9. I'm pretty sure that means that you can't convert it to be used in say, Witcher 3 not necessarily Skyrim SE. The author was last active 11 Jan 2013 6:31AM. I highly doubt they even remembered they made the mod at this point if they're still alive lol! I don't know if sending them a PM will notify them by e-mail, odds are... They got rid of their old e-mail a long time ago. I don't know what Nexus' official policy on these things but tbh if someone hasn't logged in since about when the original skyrim released, I feel that it's fair game to just update it to SE particularly if you link back with credit and all that. But OP, haven't you checked any of the shop mods for skyrim SE? There are plenty that fit the bill.
  10. I didn't say it was THAT hard to find, but the fact that this mod is disappearing means that there's not going to be updates made to it and the mod author refuses to cooperate with other modders and has distanced himself entirely from the modding community. Simply put, it has zero support and a new mod will have to take its place if people want to have continued support for an open cities mod. A lot of mods have disappeared over the years, and I would argue that at least 50% of the mods I used to use have been removed from nexus. Of course, a few of those mods can be found elsewhere (or at least something similar) and I refuse to use bethesda.net again. Anyway, open cities is a dead mod and I am petitioning people in hopes that people will be eager to create something to take its place.
  11. Hello, as you all know the current "open cities" mod author had a lot of drama and aggressive history with other modders and it's difficult to find now and well, seeing any future update on it is unlikely. However, that doesn't mean it should be the end of open cities! I'd like to request a new open cities mod, one made by people for the people! I don't know the technicalities of how open cities work or why it wasn't a thing before, but I think it would be great if it someone or a group of people were to make this happen. I hope someone thinks this is a great idea and makes it happen lol!
  12. The natural bushy mod link wasn't working yesterday but it works today, odd. I wouldn't want to see wild bush but I guess if it's to improve immersion.... I also don't use the command console, I don't even have the console mod installed so i'm not sure why the floating head thing happens. I'll try to install the bushy mod and see if that fixes it. EDIT: The fix was to install it manually. Vortex doesn't work well with witcher 3 it seems.
  13. It seems that the most popular mod for removing lingerie (wild nudity project) doesn't work anymore with the latest GOTY edition. The bodies of the NPCs become invisible. Mind you, I don't want the always-nude patch for all NPCs but just lingerie removal like the non-GOTY version of the game. I tried another mod which is a lingerie remover but nothing changes with that installed. I have other mods and check for compatibility issues and nothing is wrong. Is there a mod that works these days? The description of the WNP says to install one of two textures but both links are broken. I'm guessing it's related to that? Any help would be appreciated. I'm only looking to remove lingerie so characters look naked when they should be naked like in the brothel and things like that. Thank you.
  14. Star ocean series is good. Growing up I really liked Star Ocean 2 but Star Ocean 3 and 4 are great. I wouldn't play 5 if I were just getting into the SO universe. I believe you can play all of these on PC now. I would probably start with 3 then 4 because there's something about clunky limited mechanics from the PS2 era and low-res graphics that is hard to grapple after you play one made for the xbox 360 / PS3. It's not bad, it's just more difficult going from better to worse but 3 has the better story and that opinion is pretty universally shared. I would even argue 3 is the better game (for its time). There are different versions and I believe the director's cut edition is the one you want with the post-game content and all that fun stuff.
  15. Looking for that one mod that swaps left and right mouse keys during combat except for the bow. I forgot what it was called? :X
