Nexus Mods Profile

  1. Only need to use one of the crowded cities and only two of those skyrim water mods' esps iirc. Might want to roll that load order through boss too. Also, if you have any hirez pretty people textures or custom armor replacers and crowded cities that'll turn the world's best rigs into 21st century abacuses with this old game.
  2. Would I see a drop in performance (fps) if I used say moderate quality texture with a very high-rez normal map on my old 8800gt? How would this drop compare to an actual high-rez texture paired with a high-rez normal map?
  3. The monster costume mod is awessome, wondering if someone could (or has) convert ant and molerat creature model to an npc costume? I've tried to convert them and keep having issues with selecting how to weight paint so they don't deform to hell.
  4. I've seen a few mods that allow the player to become a creature (ex get to be a rat or a goblin). I was wondering if using these new playerized creature skeletons and bodymeshes we could replace creatures with imperials in rat/goblin armor with similar stats/abilities as the creature. I think being able to speak with a goblin/rat/whatever would be cool but beyond that I don't see a point. Also, wouldn't this be super buggy?
  5. Oops, did mean 2ghz. Guess I'll have to try it and see what happens.
  6. My usual Oblivion computer is in need of repair so I'm using a backup. It has a dual core 2.0 mhz cpu (says it performs at 3 but w/e), 1gb gfx card and 2gb ram. Instead of my usual FCOM run I'm thinking of TIE with Duke Patrick's mods. Can it handle that combination if not more (quest mods like Integration)?
  7. I noticed Morrowind, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 all use engines similar to Oblivion. Can you convert mod scripts from one of those 3 games into Oblivion? If not what tweaks would be required?
  8. Worth a shot, I know AVG caused a lot of game problems for me. (Not only Oblivion but other games too).
  9. For general mod info try: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Oblivion_Mods_FAQ I think (I'm 3% sure here) if you use a mod with no mesh etc for a male character it appears to be the same image for a female character. In Daggerfall it was easy to Crossdress.
  10. Guess you're right. If something goes wrong I can always post on various Tes4 forums. :)
  11. Decided to reinstall windows recently and decided to play a pure caster in Tes4 (haven't yet). I'm starting to test my LO. My last game as a thief on my old install went well. Problem: My brand new save game is already 3mb. After playing 6hrs or so on a test-character it jumped to 5mb. I'm hesitant to start a serious game with the prospect of bloat. My last game's save didn't grow that fast. With nothing checked it's 1MB or the fran/ooo/etc it's closer to 2. My current load order.
  12. This this as suggested, so far so good. It also seems it likes to crash on particular game times (Heartfire is popular). I've seen this linked to ICEXPAND mod and I've disabled it for now.
  13. This is a strange bug, after so many hours 3-23 doesn't matter, Oblivion auto crashes after loading the savegame (don't get the corruption message). If I try loading from a previous saved game I eventually run into the crash bug at about the same hour. Ex. If I crashed at 3.23 I'll crash at 3.23 even after playing a really old saved from 1min into the game. I've tried reinstalling but it didn't help much. Completely umodded oblivion rarely crashes (but isn't as fun). My comp matches the recommended req for modded oblivion. My load list:
