  1. I think he's looking for something new... A new armor set that is similar to iron or steel, but has gold inlays, with completely new look and stats. At least that is what I get from his idea. I think its a great idea, and I completely support it. I am not a modder however. But I would love to see such a thing made. It seems silver and gold were completely overlooked other then for jewelry and silver hand weapons. ~James
  2. Thank you very much, I had not seen that. However, I don't really want everything that mod has to offer. And as such, my request still stands, but I do very much appreciate your input Dienes! Thank you!
  3. I cracked to stop using steam for a long time myself... I don't anymore, but I didn't like having to update to current version at the time. It's not just pirates who hate steam lol. That said, I have no answer to help you with your question about a mod. I just want to make it more public that not everyone who dislikes steam is a pirate. I still have issues with steam to this day and their policies. That said, I use steam now, though somewhat reluctantly. I only use nexus though for mods. NMM is the only way to go :p
  4. Hello, this is the first request I've ever made. I don't know if it is possible, or if it has been done before... I did a very extensive search including posting on a different section of the forum asking if anyone has heard of such a thing. So far nothing. So here goes! Not sure if this would be an immersion, npc mod, or a magic: enchantment mod... but I am looking for something that lets you purchase enchantments. It seems odd to me that there are people who will teach you knowledge of enchanting, yet no one will actually enchant items for you. If NPCs are able to make enchantments for themselves (aka loot items), and sell them (aka merchant items), why not have npc's who do this for a living? Or preferably have the Jarls wizards offer this to the public, or at least members of the court. Why not a mage at the college who wouldn't mind helping out initiates... or a certain someone outside of the college who deals with enchantments (such as the azura's star)? If all these people have an enchanting table nearby, why not make a side profit of enchanting other people's valuables... for a price? Morrowind (iirc) had something like this in the mages guild, and it was perfect for me... I would love to see something like that brought back to the world of Skyrim. Again, I don't know how feasible this is in Skyrim, and I am sure it would require quite a bit of scripting if at all possible, but I have a few ideas that might make this really cool. - Different mastery of enchantments (like trainers) that can enchant up to a specific level. Say Farkas of Whiterun (being a decent hold) has Journeyman skill level, which might be enchant skill of 60, with some/most/all perks up to that level. While someone in the mages guild has Master level (90 ~ 100) enchanting but costs more because of his skill level. - Price differences based on skill level of npc. Maybe an apprentice enchanter (skill 20-35) will do it for free if you provide the soul gem, just so he can get more experience with his craft... however you get what you pay for. Good for low level characters. While a grand master enchanter (skill level of 100), would charge a small (or large) fortune to be bothered. - Price non dependent of the enchantment, instead a fee dependent only on the skill of npc. - NPC will also fill items at a cost, for characters that refuse to use magic themselves (roleplay purposes) As for feasibility, I think it might be possible to use a script to temporarily raise your skill in enchanting and perks to the NPC's skill level, and bring up the enchantment menu thus simulating the NPC doing the enchantment (and preferably not giving you experience for said enchantment), then lowering your skill and perks back to where they were when leaving menu. Hopefully that is clear enough... if not let me try again. Upon paying a master enchantment NPC for their time, the enchantment menu comes up on your screen allowing you to make an enchantment. Behind the scenes your base enchantment skill is queried and saved by the mod, and held till later. Then your skill is raised to the level of the enchanter which is between 90 and 100. Perks would be queried and saved the same, and then added. You would perform the enchantment using your soul gem, same as if you were a master enchanter. Upon creation of 'ONE'* item (for price sake, unless it can be done differently) menu is closed, previous skill is returned, added perks are removed. You walk away exactly as you came, with a newly furnished item, minus gold price. *= If it can be done via scripting, perhaps the price can be removed based on how many items are created, after querying whether the character has enough gold to craft that enchantment. Basically I am not looking for a cheat mod, I am looking for an immersion mod for non magic playing characters. I am currently playing an Orc who uses no magic whatsoever, but has no problem with magic items. It just seems weird to me that you can find enchanted gear as loot made by others, but no one is willing to make something for you. Demand seems high enough to create a supply. I would assume some other like minded roleplaying individuals might like this mod idea as well. I am actually very surprised that it has not been made yet... unless it is not possible. Hopefully I'm just brilliant and no one else has came up with the idea! Hope this makes sense, and sorry it is so long. I tried to think of every possibility that my "VERY" limited knowledge of scripting and game mechanics can think of. Thanks ~James
  5. So I've been searching for a while now, and am looking for a mod that makes it possible to pay a npc to enchant something for me. Currently playing a completely non-mage character. I'm looking for something similar to how the Mage guild worked in Morrowind. An NPC you can pay to enchant your gear better then you can. Again, I've been searching keyworks all day and can't find anything similar. I don't know if this is even possible to be modded, but if anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks. ~James
  6. I think it requires a script extender. The one in FO3 required one, as far as I can remember. We'll be waiting a bit I think :/ Though, I am dying for it also.
  7. Not to mention the fact that the game was buggy as hell even without extra content. :) They needed 3 or four months just to make the game bug free, and then another year to add the extra lol
  8. Dealers (as far as I know, at least at the ultra-luxe) have no chips. I found it very dissapointing that you couldn't steal from the table, dealers, or the other gamblers at the casino. Love the idea of this, and the heist! Would love to be able to steal a few tens of thousand chips or more. :D Would be cool to have different ways to deal with this, such as steal from the casino... steal from the robot (or group of robots) that deliver the chips to Mr. House... or blackmail a dealer or something into paying you off every day/week/month w/e. Or just raid the place and kill everyone steal everything and get the money that way (stupid, but really quick way to make money lol) Just a few ideas. Hope someone could make something like this!
  9. I want it too. Using AlexScorps M82 mod, and wanting to be able to remove the silencer when its not needed.
