  1. Thanks I guess, but those videos wont help, even if I did watch all of them. He uses a program (3ds Max) that I don't have, and can't get, since I'm not a student. I'm still attempting to combine them myself, but having no luck. Anyone else have some more help to offer?
  2. Ok, so some mods release armors as separate pieces, like in game, you can equip the armor, and then "accessories" like adding on a sash or belt, or knives on the leg, or a skirt, or different shirt/pants options, or something like that, they come as separate pieces. I want to combine them into 1 piece, I can't seem to figure out how. I've tried using Bodyslide, and adding in the other armor nifs to the main one, using the option to keep existing pieces, and it works out, that it shows the 1 piece of armor that I want it to look like, with the options I chose. I save the Nif, renaming/replacing it with the main piece in the mod. When I load that Nif in Bodyslide, it looks exactly as I made it, but when loaded in game, it only shows the main piece without the "accessories" I added. I've also tried loading the different pieces in NifSkope, and copy the "Accessory" I want, and paste that Block into the Main piece on a separate NifSkope window, and I save that Nif, renaming/replacing it into the mod. In game it shows the main piece on the body, and it even shows the "Accessory", but the Accessory is stationary, like if i Jump, it doesn't stay with the moving leg, it just moves straight up, stationary. I've dabbled in both programs, but I'm not highly knowledgeable of either, please help me! TLDR: Need help merging Armor Nifs to combine multiple pieces of armor to create one Piece of Armor Thanks ~Leo
  3. So I've just started to learn a little bit about leveled lists, and I'm working inside Tes5edit and I've learned how to add items from mods to leveled lists, for example, adding a new cuirass into LitemBanditCuirass, and it shows up in game randomly on bandits etc. I even did it correctly with wrye bash, and got it to show up with other mods that already add to leveled lists (like immersive armors for ex.). So what I can't figure out, and can't find anything online to spell it out for me, how do I go about adding in outfits? Like say I have a mod that adds 5 items in (chest, boots, gauntlets, helmet, and an extra like a scarf or something), using previously stated method, I can get all of them to randomly appear on bandits. But what I want to know is how can I direct the game to have them randomly spawn with ALL 5 items, I don't want bandits getting 1 or 2 pieces, I want them to spawn in with the full sets equipped. Also, I'm not well versed in this stuff, so please be specific as you can, thank you. Any help is greatly appreciated. ~Leo
  4. Mmk, just watched both videos. Seems easy enough, tomorrow I shall tackle that as a project, and see what comes of it! Thank you again, so very much, for your help and patience with me! Is there anything I can do for you? like give you a gold star? or endorse you or something somehow? lol Really you've been a great help! Have a wonderful rest of your day! ~Leo
  5. Hmm....welp, I suppose my next question is..are those easy to use? like quick or take a while...if it takes a while, i'll just let them have the same color..lol EDIT: well*
  6. Nevermind.. I lied...lol there are gender specifc boots/gauntlets....I just missed them, sorry. I do have yet another question, if you don't mind. One of the armor mods I am using has different colors for texture sets...in the vanilla dawnguard armor, there are 2 heavy, and 3 light armors...each has its own color...i wanted to use that to my advantage and use different sets of the same meshes with different colored textures, but since the meshes files look for its textures, is there an easy way to tell like for example the 2 heavy armors, same mesh, but have the 2nd one like to blue instead of black or something? If that makes sense...lol Thanks again for everything, and no, I can't thank you enough! lol ~Leo
  7. Yup that worked, ya my bad I replaced both genders, didn't realize..lol thanks. Although there doesn't seem to be gender specific pieces for other pieces to the armor...like the gauntlets and the boots only have the one file. The other gender doesn't have the vanilla meshes/textures for those pieces. Is there a way around that?
  8. Ah, I see, ya I hadn't guessed that it still used the mods textures as default (not renamed, moved to texture folder). It's all good now, though, worked perfectly! Thanks a bunch! But no not trying to make it standalone, as the OP states, I was trying to convert some standalones into a replacers, which with your help I have now done :) Another question, if you don't mind, some of the custom armors I am changing over to be replacers don't really look so good on the opposite gender, is there a way to designate that only males use one set of meshes/textures, and females use another set? For example, I am replacing the dawnguard armor meshes/textures, but I don't see a way to designate a gender. I know in vanilla the daedric armor looks different on the male, than it does on the female, but i'm not sure how it does, as it is the same armor piece. I hope my question isn't confusing, i'm not always the best at wording things. Anyways, again, thanks very much for your help, your amazing! ~Leo
  9. Hmm, ok so I spent a while and got things in order, and ran a few tests...this works great for the meshes, worked first try! So thanks for that! But, the textures wont work, I assumed I'd do the same thing for the textures (use the program, grab the files, extract, rename new ones to be able to overwrite old ones), but in game the textures are still just solid blue, any ideas? Thanks again btw though, you got me 50% of the way there :D ~Leo
  10. Ok, i'm new to this whole thing, so I apologize if the question has been answered everywhere, or posting in the wrong area, or whatever. I have looked around, and found different ways of making custom standalone armors, or replacers into standalones, but that's not what i want to do, I want to take custom armors and make them into replacers. I've found several standalone armors around the nexues that I like, but I would rather have them as replacers in the game, then standalone ones. I'm not asking for someone else to do it for me, I just want to learn to do it myself, for myself. I've never modded before so I don't really know my way around...anything really lol. Conclusion (summary): Easiest (step by step) way to convert custom standalone armors into replacer armors. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, or point me in the right direction at least. ~Leo
