  2. I'm sure this will happen eventually without my request, but I just want to make it known that this is indeed wanted. I like what Bethesda did with survival mode! It's very interesting and unusual for them to implement such a fun and difficult mode. However, I think it would've been a LOT easier to swallow if it was available at launch. As it is now, it just seems like it'll make the game far more inconvenient than fun, to turn it on in the middle of a save/after being spoiled with the usual gameplay of Bethesda games. I love the survival needs aspect. Always loved mods that require you to eat/drink/sleep, and I love the idea of it being a vanilla feature. What I hate however, is the ridiculous reduction of carry capacity, the heavy ammo, the inability to save, inability to use TGM for times when I just want to have fun/test something, lack of any fast travel (this one is just stupid) the inability to re-enable survival mode after activating it etc. What I want, and pretty much I'm holding out until this happens, to even play the game again, is a comprehensive FOMOD which lets you completely customize survival mode to one's own taste. If you read all of that, thank you, and sorry for the huge post.

  7. Hmm... I just found a throwing hatchet in game. So, I suppose this should be called "Better Throwing Weapons" Though the hatchet DOES stick into people.... only for literally a second, though :( These are the only two throwing weapons I've found so far, but I'm pretty sure there's at least also a throwing knife. Also, they should be re-usable, with a % chance that they will break instead, or even somehow work the degradation system into it.
  8. I have a request for Throwing Spears. Basically, I hate the vanilla spears for a few reasons. First off, when you throw them at somebody, and they hit, they just... disappear. I was REALLY hoping they'd stick into enemies bodies, like arrows did in Oblivion... Also, I hate how they only stick in the environment for a few seconds. I hate how they CANNOT be used as melee weapons, and I hate how you can't hold the spear ready before you throw it, like by holding the mouse button (like with grenades and dynamite) I LOVE the weapon themselves, but... well these things kill me.
  9. Some new features (as well as some of MY favorites) Would be built in WMK, an upgraded GECK (AT RELEASE!) Lots of new weapons, Iron Sights, the continuation of the fo1/2 stories, the .223 pistol, the 14 mm pistol, Marcus is returning (VOICED ONCE AGAIN BY MICHAEL DORN!) A Pump action animation (hooray!) the Survival skill, the merging of Big guns and Small guns, the disguises system, better graphics, more in-depth story.... Ok, you know what? I could do this all day. Suffice it to say, Fallout: New Vegas is MUCH more than "an add-on pack" for FO3. I hate anybody who says that's all it is. OH! and I love that you can recruit Cassidy's (from FO2) daughter, Cass. Hehe, I like that. He was a great companion.... until I gave him jet one time, which made him instantly die of a heart attack :/

  11. No, that wasn't it. I'm pretty sure I know why now. I'm pretty sure I hit the limit of files in the data folder. Something like 300-350. Grr... Auto-ghosting in Wrye Bash helped a lot.
  12. Yes, it is UMO. In my experience, it's the only map that displays the UL mods, as well as Stirk and Sutch. As for the problem I was having... Grr... It's back. I THINK I know why though. Basically, I've been getting my game as stable as possible. I play using a program called shiftwindow which lets me play the game in windowed mode, but simulating full screen mode by stretching it out. I also use weOCPS which makes the game not necessarily crash when it encounters an error, as well as a few other things to make the game stable. Apparently I made the game so stable, that it doesn't always crash on load if I have a missing master, for instance, but the game still doesn't function correctly, and it stops loading textures, then crashes. I'm not 100% sure that's the issue, but removing the Alternate start mod, which I had importing things out of into my bashed patch, but didn't have the mod active, fixed the problem. Now, I tried adding a few other mods today, went in game to test, and the problem is back... I looked over everything, and it all looks ok, but it's apparently not. Oh well, back to trying to fix it again.
  13. I um... Don't understand why this could be, but I've fixed the problem. Somehow it was the Alternate Start Arrive By Ship mod that did it. I REALLY don't get how or why, but it definitely was that mod. I removed the mod from my load order, as well as my bashed patch, and the problem is gone... Oh well, this topic can be deleted. Thanks anyway, to anybody who would have tried to help me, had I not figured it out.
  14. There's more to it too... Whenever this happens, Oblivion becomes VERY unstable, and crashes soon after. I know it's happening, because a random object/surface will suddenly be black when I enter/leave a cell. Then more things turn black, and grass always becomes large and pink. I'm totally lost.... I don't get it. The game is completely unplayable now, and I have no idea why. It's as if Oblivion just suddenly decided to stop functioning...   15. Hello. My problem is this: Basically, all of the sudden textures turn purple or black, but only after Interior/exterior transitions. Sometimes it takes a few times, but when it happens, most things turn either black, purple or transparent. I've never had this problem before, and I have been modding this game since it came out... so I know what I'm doing... for the most part. This problem, however, seems to defy logic, and is way over my head. My computer is a behemoth, so I doubt it's that. The latest things I've done to my installation were to install Dungeon actors have torches, exterior actors have torches, a chameleon no-refraction mod (The Wrye Bash settings tweak for that didn't work for me, because actors would still ahve shadows when they were chameleoned, and on my computer there were huge white box artifacts in the shadows) , the Aleswell no refraction fix, At Home Alchemy bounty fix v2, a compatibility patch for MMM AlienSlof Horses complete and DLC Horse Armor (Made by Corepc) Though I systematically deactivated all of these mods, and the problem persists... Here's my load order currently, if it matters. This problem is driving me crazy... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's my LO

  17. Hi all. I want to make a quick, and hopefully simple request. I want to know if anybody could take this mod http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6636 and give the Themes/items for the suite their own unique Ref IDs, that way, they won't conflict with the Megaton house if you use a "Own both houses" mod. For instance, instead of it being "House: Nuka-Cola Machine" change it to something like "Suite: Nuka-Cola Machine" With it's own Ref ID. When they both share Ref IDs, and you buy a theme/item for one house, it also gets applied to the other, and causes serious bugs and glitches... Thanks a LOT to anybody who even reads half of this message.

  19. wizard70 is awesome. I took a shot in the dark, and asked him to make me some compatibility patches for some mods, and he absolutely came through, almost immediately. He get's nothing but props and respect from me.
  20. Just download Creative ALchemy. it was made to fix certain problems that vista has with sound... or something. Anyway, just google creative ALchemy, and also, you need to have a creative sound card. I have the Creative soundblaster audigy 4, and it works fine for me on 32 bit vista. Be warned though, the download can be pretty difficult to find... haven't done it in a while, but i remember it was a female dog. hope that helps.
