  1. Hey there, I couldn't find a Modding forum for mass effect so I figured this is the best place to post it. If it needs to be moved, please do so! I just wanted to know if there was a mod, and if not, request one, that changes the Normandy's Teammates' clothing whilst on the Normandy to regular civilian clothing. I highly doubt Garrus would want to be in the same armor all the time. Obviously, there would be an exception in Tali, but it would be nice to put her into a regular suit that isn't as armored as the one she wears. But with regular NPCs in species specific clothing all around, I can't see how it would be hard to change Teammates clothing while on the Normandy specifically. (I don't mod, so I can't say that I'd know) I don't know if it's annoyed everyone else, but it always has for me. Furthermore, it would be great to see this for all three games, as I consider if a problem in all of them. So, is this possible? In any event, thank you for reading!! -Chaie
  2. Not to bring my thread back to life, but I found the mod I was talking about in my original post. The Alternate Actors mod essentially allows you to play the game as that NPC, with your PC following you around as a follower or can be told to stay where they are. Now, with this knowledge, would I be correct to assume that you could mod and create a unique NPC, integrating them into the world, then use this spell to take control of them, and play our certain quests as that player? Of course, some suspension of belief would be needed, like if you were to create a thief guild character, but people still see you as the DB, which is mentioned in the video. Again, I'm sorry if your guy's previous posts answered this question, I'm still very new, so this doesn't make much sense, as I've never had the chance to root around in the code and mods. So please, if this new information makes this mod possible, please tell me! :] Thanks, Chaie
  3. Hey there, I've yet another idea for a mod, surprise surprise. I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. I've always thought that, as the Dragonborn, you'd want your family protected rather well. I went searching through the Skyrim Nexus and found fortifying mods for the houses that are available in Heartfire, but, as good as they were, they still did feel right for a DB that has saved the world. My idea is a simple one, I think. I'd like someone to add a questline that makes it so the owner of the home can build walls around and start their own little village, or an estate, that can be filled with new NPCs or old NPCs. It wouldn't be a big city like Whiterun or Solitude, or any of the hold cities really, but would still be on the map and known to the world. Some buildings to go up should be Weapon shop and smithyA small Inn and tavernA farm and stable (also where the cart driver would he housed)A general storehouses for the NPCsThese should be decently spaced out to make it less crowded, and a surrounding wall with patrolling guards would only be logical. So, has anyone done this? Or is there someone out there willing to take it on? Thanks for reading, Chaie
  4. thanks man. do you know if it works well with Power Armor? i.e. clipping, ect ect.
  5. Hey there, Not really a request, but I didn't know where else to put this. Is there a Tailor Maid for Fallout 3? Sorry if this is an inappropriate thread, I'm just looking to get the awesome armor customizing from the FNV Tailor Maid for my Power Armor clad Lone Wanderer :D
  6. Thanks so much for that in-depth response! I'm very sad to hear that it's not possible however. Well, in any event, thank you for entertaining my questions, both of you.
  7. Is it rude to ask if you know of someone who may be versed in that type stuff? Furthermore, would it be rude to request this of them personally?
  8. Ah, you just reminded me of another point that needs to be covered! Waiting places for PCs not in use. I figured the new PCs would stay in houses they own or the Inns of towns you designate. As for the mod you're talking about, it sounds like the spell mod I was talking about. What I hope to help someone create is a refined system for creating and playing new PCs. Instead of having a player rummage through code and all that to create new NPC/PCs, it could all be in a list format. I'm almost sure this is possible with the right modders.
  9. I have done that, but wouldn't it be much cooler to have all of those characters changing and defining the same world? Those amazing NPC's that can rival the Dragonborn in story, those characters you remember, now wouldn't it be awesome to have them existing in the same world, and maybe even interacting? There's a bunch of major factions that hold power of Skyrim, each that you can lead, and wouldn't it be better to have a character tailored to lead that faction, rather than being the Dragonborn first, and the leader of the group second?
  10. Hey there, A while back I was watching Top Five Skyrim Mods of the Week and they showcased a mod that gave you two spells to partially take over any NPC(Make them a Follower), or fully take over any NPC(Make your PC a Follower and the NPC the PC with full inventory). This idea spawned from that mod, but I can't find it for the life of me. So, I'm here to try and find that mod's creator, or, to find someone who can do a similar thing with a twist. The Multiple PC mod would be a mod that allows you to have more than one character. Whenever I played Skyrim, I thought it to be pretty silly that the Dragonborn could do EVERYTHING in the story, even when groups like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood don't get along. So the idea to have more than one character came to mind when thinking how to do everything in game, but with more than one character. When I saw the spell mod I mentioned above, it occurred to me that if you can create any NPC for a mod, ect ect, and then take it over with that spell mod, you'd essentially have a newly created NPC. With a bit of refinement, I'm sure that this could become an easy and accessible mod for many people that will allow them to explore the whole of Skyrim, it's DLCs, and the expansive Mods people have created, while staying lore-friendly and realistic to boot. Now, I've never mad a mod, and I don't know the in's and out's, but from what I've seen, this should be possible, given a bit of elbow grease. Some main points that would need to be figured out are: Shouts for the DB onlyBounties in Holds for different PCsDifferent inventoriesDifferent leveling screens (perhaps it would be best to create a character with skills already set)A NPC/PC creation screen for easeDialogue triggers. If a newly created bandit pc visited the Greybeards, they shouldn't consider him the DBQuest restrictions. A Thieves Guild Member shouldn't be able to go and try to pick up a Brotherhood quest. A character already playing the Civil War quests should be the only to do so, ect ect. So, that's my idea and the problems I've seen with it so far. I think if an experienced modder actually took time to try and develop this, it could be one of the biggest mods to date, and would allow the creativity that so many players have to thrive and extend into multiple characters. Please help me make this happen, and thank you for reading, Chaie
  11. Hey there, I've seen a port and re-texture of the Champion armor from DA2 on Alistair while browsing tumblr. I've always really liked how the armor looks, and with the re-texture, it looks even better. I'm not one to wear armor that isn't a Warden type armor though, and was wondering if someone could do a Champion Armor retexture and make the cape (and whatever other trim you see fit) the Warden Blue and maybe throw a Griffon somewhere on it if possible. Furthermore, if someone more versed in the lore can put a name and story to the armor, I think that would make it ten times cooler. Hell, if you see fit to put a quest in to find it, that would be awesome too! I just really like the rugged look of the Champ armor, but want the Warden colors and have it be lore-friendly. Obviously current Warden armor doesn't look like that, so it'd be nice to have a dated time and reason for why this armor is so spiky and rugged, and having it be ancient seems fitting. Plus, there's just a classic story element with having a character find old things to help on the current quest. Thanks for reading, Chaie Edit: So I did some research, and I think a suitable name for this armor could be Carinus' Armor. Carinus was the one who brought the warriors together in Weisshaupt. This could've been his armor, which I think would be supremely awesome for the Warden to find somehow, maybe in Soldier's Peak? A mock description for the armor: "The ancient armor of Carinus, one of the first Grey Wardens. Before the time of embroidered Griffons, this armor was simply adorned with a torn blue flag, acting as a cape. The deep blue color, found on the flags of Weisshaupt at the time, would become the unifying color of the new order. Darkspawn would come to fear the sight of this armor and the blue color of the Wardens it carried."
  12. I made my own topic for this awhile back, but no one has responded. I hope it's okay, I'm going to just copy and paste the post because it's a request anyways and pertains to what you were willing to do. This was originally for Fallout 3, but, with the context of the post, I think it would've eventually made it back to the Brotherhood of Steel in Nevada and other places. If you'd like to talk more about the idea, please PM me! In any event, thank you for reading! "Hey there, I was wondering if we could get a recolor of the Hellfire armor to match T-45d and T-51b helmet colors, and add some of the brotherhood markings you find on other armors to it. I figure that, after defeating the Enclave, the Brotherhood, while studying and reverse engineering Enclave tech, would at least supply some of their more elite forces with procured Enclave power armor, but not without recoloring them. I think the Brotherhood helmet it iconic, so they would color both Power Armor mk2 (Enclave Power Armor) and the Hellfire armor, so some of their troops. I could see Lyon's pride getting refitted very quickly, and having their special marks on it. Could this be done, and then added into a post-game mod that would change some of the brotherhood to reflect their advancement? They're technically becoming more and more separate from the main branch, and it would be really phenomenal to see that difference reflected. If anyone is willing to render an armor from the ground up, I have a design for a mk.III armor that the Brotherhood makes, but I wouldn't want to put that much stress on someone, as I can't really commission it. Thanks for reading, Chaie "
  13. That is very true. And you know what they say, beggars can't be choosers. If you can, maybe throw a grayish ball over the ends of the straps to make them look bolted on? But besides that, I like the idea of the permanent bag. Thanks again for doing this man!
  14. below looks much better. Makes more sense too! That's awesome. Thank you so much! Do you know of anyone who could make the strap correct? Other than that it's perfect!
  15. I see, I see. Thank you very much for doing it this far! Is it possible to be put below?
  16. That's great! If it could be sideways though, and the strap adjusted to be all the way around, to kind of keep the immersion, that'd be awesome. Sorry if that's not possible, I've never tried to make a mod, so I don't know the capabilities.
  17. To be clear, I'd hope to have it look as sensible as possible, with the strap going across his faceplate, and the bag not interfering with any of his antennae.
  18. Hey there, I never liked how EDE could carry thing. It didn't make sense. Even if behind the faceplate, he was empty, it still wouldn't make sense. So I developed a headcanon that my courier ties a duffle bag to his back. Could someone make this a reality? I also have a mod that allows the use of LR EDE, so if one could be put on him also, that'd be great! Thanks, Chaie
