  1. I had the same prob after updating with patch v1.5. Read somewhere that FO4 works better when all the textures, meshes etc are compressed into a ba2 file. So as soon as the CK came out I enable each plug-in (mod) one at a time in the CK and put all the loose files for that plug-in (mod) into a ba2 archive. My load times were faster and i do believe all my mods are working. I cant confirm this was indeed the fix to my problem, but after reading somewhere that FO4 was designed to run better with archives than loose files it couldn't hurt to try it. Keep it mind having to archive loose file from others mods is a pain and time consuming. Anyway hope this helps and good luck.
  2. Remember with the 1.5 patch and up you have to add the astric (shift 8 ) before each mod name in the plug-in file, also don't forget to enable the "READ ONLY" option in the file preferences for both the plug-in file as well as the load order file. This is very important if you use the default FO4 launcher. Took me awhile to finally get everything to work, so you too might have to load the game a few times before it reads all the plug-ins. Hope this helps.
  3. You don't open an esp file, just place it in the "DATA" folder of the game.
  4. How about making it literally under water, meaning the cave or house itself is full of water. No humans or others could follow unless they too can breath in or under water. Talk about a great security item..then again there's that meat eating fish problem...lol
  5. If your using the PC version , just use the ~ button {left of the 1 key and above the Tab key} while playing the game. When you use this button the game will pause and a very small text cursor pops up in the bottom right side of your screen. Use your mouse cursor/pointer to point to the object and left click. The object name {if it has one} and ID number should show up at the top middle of your screen. While in this mode any and everythng you put the mouse cursor on and left click will give you the name and item / ID number. Click the ~ button again to return to normal. I can also explain how to do this using FNVEditer if needed. Hope this helps
  6. Actually there is some sort of configuration in the " FalloutPrefs.ini " file Scoll down to [Controls] in the ini file and you will see what I am talking about. Looks like this in my ini file... [Controls] bAlwaysRunByDefault=1 bBackground Mouse=0 bBackground Keyboard=1 fXenonVertLookSpeed=1200.0000 fXenonHorizLookSpeed=1500.0000 bGamePadRumble=1 bInvertYValues=0 fMouseSensitivity=0.0018 Forward=0011FF13 Back=001FFF14 Slide Left=001EFF17 Slide Right=0020FF16 Use=00FF0011 Activate=0012FF0A Block=00380110 Ready Item=0013FF0C Crouch/Sneak=001DFF08 Run=002AFFFF Always Run=003AFFFF Auto Move=0010FFFF Jump=0039FF0D Toggle POV=0021020F Menu Mode=000FFF0B Rest=0014FF07 Vats=002FFF0E Hotkey1=0002FFFF Ammo Swap=0003FF01 Hotkey3=0004FFFF Hotkey4=0005FFFF Hotkey5=0006FFFF Hotkey6=0007FFFF Hotkey7=0008FFFF Hotkey8=0009FFFF QuickSave=003FFFFF QuickLoad=0043FFFF Grab=002CFF09 I would definitely make a back up before modding anything in that file. If you come up with anything useful please let us all know.
