  1. Thanks for the replies guys, this really helps
  2. Thanks, those three mods are great  . The bare arms still bug me, but I guess I'll just live with it.
  3. I appreciate that skirts are a traditional part of armour, but I just think they look silly in Skyrim. I can see the benefits to mobility which is why I don't mind the fur armour skirts but I think armour on front line troops like Imperial legionnaires should be more protective. I also think it's impractical to have bare legs in a cold climate like Skyrim. I am talking about male armour as most of my characters are male. I will use likely use practical female armours on my next female playthrough, so thanks for pointing that out. It's a bummer if it's too hard to cover the legs in Skyrim!
  4. Hi everyone I would like to request a mod that makes vanilla Skyrim armours less skimpy. I don't like the fact that most of the armours have nothing covering the arms and legs. I think the skirt style armours look incredibly stupid. For example, imperial light armour looks like a sleeveless dress, and iron armour is more like an iron vest  ! If someone could make a mod that adds armour to arms and legs and, ideally, gets rid of the skirts that seem to populate Skyrim, I would be very grateful. I think the Oblivion armours had a far superior design, so if you're looking for inspiration, check them out. Thanks in advance  James
  5. Thanks for the reply  I managed to fix the issue about ten minutes ago. I don't know how or why it worked, but I deleted my Realtek hd audio manager and left the box to unistall drivers unchecked. I then rebooted my PC and Realtek automatically re installed. My sound now works normally :D. I'm really happy about it because this has been bugging me for ~6 months. I thought I would post how I resolved the issue so that anyone else who has the same problem can try this fix. Thanks again James
  6. Alright, I'm having an extremely annoying problem with my skyrim. My sound is extremely quiet, I have my speakers on max volume and my Skyrim volume maxed but my game is so quiet I can barely hear anything. I know the are hundreds of topics on this all over the internet, but I have tried several fixes (5.1 speaker configuration, loudness equalisation, setting my default format to 24 bit 44100 gz, editing the sound in skyrimprefs, etc) and none of them work. I do not have the option for loudness equalisation, so I can't use that fix. When I try to configure my speakers to 5.1 I don't get the option, the only option I get is stereo. Changing my default format does nothing and editing the loudness in skyrimprefs.ini (or maybe it was skyrim.ini, I can't remember) did nothing, even when I set it to 100! I've probably spent 15 hours browsing the internet and trying fixes and nothing I've done has made any difference at all. This is extremely frustrating and is ruining the game for me. If someone could help me out or provide some sort of fix that works I would really appreciate it. Please provide clear step by step instructions as I'm not very tech-savvy and things that may seem easy or obvious to you may be difficult for me  . Thanks in advance James
