My fellow Skyrim players of the PC, I am sure many of you know that if you started but not finished Joining the Legion, you cannot let General Tullius agree to negotiate a truce during the main quest. So to get around this, I used console "resetquest CW01A" and then finished the main quest. And now the problem rises: I want to actually join the Legion but the "Joining the Legion" quest is nowhere to be found in the journal. I tried console "setstage CW01A 0 (or 1)" but it doesn't work. So could anyone tell me how to bring back the quest? By the way, I have not cleared out Fort Hraggstad yet. Thanks very much!!!

I was actually having the same problem and eventually gave up.

This is very detailed... Thank you! I followed every step of what you instructed but the NifSkope is still showing the armor pieces that I painted black in the added layer mask (i.e. alpha channel). Now I think this should be a NifSkope problem. I haven't run it in Skyrim yet so I guess I will report back later...

Thanks everyone for the reply! Now I am having trouble figuring out how to use the alpha channel / transparency in GIMP 2.6.11 (with DDS plugin). It seems that simply erasing stuff from the alpha channel doesn't work, because I can still see the armor parts in NifSkope. What should I do to the alpha channel? I guess I just need a really detailed tutorial on this subject... Thanks again! You need to paint back on the alpha channel to make stuff invisible... otherwise what you are doing is painting a black texture.

Hi all, I want to make the Skyrim glass armor more skimpy. I did some homework on this forum and here's what I did: 1. Convert cuirass.dds to a jpg file. 2. Open that jpg file in Adobe Fireworks, insert several pure-black polygons to cover the armor parts I want to hide. 3. Save the file as a png file. 4. Use DDS converter 2.1 to convert the png file to dds. 5. Put the file in the correct folder. Now, when I open the nif file in nifSkope, the armor parts I want to hide shows up black, instead of being invisible. What did I do wrong here? Thanks!
