  1. This. This so many times. I've seen vertibirds lose to raiders with pipe weapons, super mutants with basic assault rifles, and a stiff breeze. I haven't seen them knocked out of the air by bloatflies yet, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Making them a hell of a lot tougher and a lot smarter about when to retreat would go a long, long way. I'm okay with the frequency, to an extent - the BoS IS supposed to be showing their strength - but it's just immersion-breaking and comical right now. Well, comical until they crash into my settlement and take out several of my settlers. Or crash into me in the middle of a conversation with a NPC for a quest, killing everyone. Or crash into me when I'm just exploring, far away from the Prydwen and anything of interest to the BoS.
  2. I'm still not entirely sold on this new design (and TBH, I still think the old design is better), but the recent changes you've made have made it much more palatable. Thank you for listening to feedback, Dark0ne.
  3. Same holds true for Firefox with Adblock addon or whatever you call it. I'm not going to download and install a new browser just to block ads, at least not for now. From what I've seen, the new design doesn't sit well with the majority of modders, while mod downloaders probably enjoy it more. Since downloaders outnumber modders, the modders' opinions alone aren't enough to push for a switch back to the old design. I think it would take more than that, but in the end, Dark0ne is the one to decide. I'm sure a lot of effort was put into the new design, which makes it such a shame. I'm not a modder... and I can't stand the new layout. So, no, it's not just modders. Ah, well. I'll still use it, even if I most certainly don't visit every day quickly check on new and favorite files anymore.
  4. ...how has this not been made yet? Seriously - I woulda though that this would have been one of the first.
  5. This, right here, is an absolutely amazing mod: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36922 It offers literally unique gameplay. I'm not just talking about Fallout - I'm talking in general. There are no games that I can find (and I've been looking for a long while) that even remotely offer the "build a settlement and defend it from attackers in a much larger, rich setting" - there's Minecraft, but that doesn't have the amazing setting and backstory, plus it's a lot more rudimentary in the defense elements and is reliant on multiplayer for the village feel. There's the Dungeon Keeper series, but that stuff's OLD, and not freeform. There's Caesar IV, but that's a much more removed point of view (no wandering around your town in first-person). Quite simply, this style of gameplay is so unique that there's actual money-making opportunities to be had here, in addition to the simple modding effort. More than that, if this remains as popular as it could be, then we might see this formally added into the game via DLC or future Fallout titles or something (in the same way Weapon Mods was formally added to NV after its success as a mod for F3). The only modding effort I know of that has this much potential is nVamp, and that's only because it adds so much stuff... but it doesn't add anything as distinctly unique as this. Unfortunately, it's without a developer, as its original, ar©oolka, stepped down in favor of real life stuff. It would be absolutely amazing if someone helped bring this mod back into active development - I'd do it, but I'm nowhere close to knowledgeable enough.
