  1. Based on your suggestion chaophim I found the following mod: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13137/? (Ring of the Time Lords - slow-mo ring by Sorydrew). This mod, although quite good, is not exatcly what I am looking for because it slows the world down considerably more than the player (I think that all slow motion mods based on the slow motion shout do this, but I am not sure). Thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate it.
  2. Hello everyone, this is the first time I am posting a request so please excuse me if I go about this the wrong way. The mod I am thinking of is simple. A hotkey that activates slow motion and pressing it again deactivates it. Alternatively another hotkey could deactivate it. The simplest way to do this I think is to use the console command "sgtm X.X", I have been using that via console but it is annoying to always pause the game to enter or exit slowmotion. As I understand you can't bind console commands to keys using conventional ini changes so a mod that uses scripts would be required. An example would be if the mod allowed say the key "V" to be bound to "sgtm 0.3" so that the world would be slowed to 30% of normal time and then bind another key to "sgtm 1" to return to normal. I know nothing about scripts so I don't know if this is possible, or too much work to be worth it. Now the nexus hosts many slow motion mods for Skyrim, but all of them (to my knowlegde) either slow others considerably more than the playable character or stop others completely. Most of them are also based on either casting spells/shouts or using rings to activate the effects (not all of them though). I don't want this to be gamebreakingly overpowered, I want everything slowed equally for a cinematic effect. Say, activating slowmotion just as you finish casting the master fire spell or as you freefall down the sky towards a body of water, stuff like that. Another reason I want this is because in past Bethesda games mods like this have actually helped with my framerate when combat gets hectic. An example of mods from past Bethesda games that do what I want: Oblivion - WHOOSH: http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/7777/? Fallout 3 - DK_BulletTime: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1193/? Fallout NV - DK_BulletTime: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35823/? It would also be nice if hotkeys and slow motion speed were adjustable in MCM, but to be honest, I would take any slow motion I can get so this isn't a requirement for me. I hope I have made myself understandable and done everything right, if the mod I am thinking of (or something similar) has already been made I apologize for wasting your time but would request that you point me in it's direction. Thank you for your time.
  3. Troyquay, I was sure I had already done what you said, but I decided to try it again and followed your instructions precisely. It worked beautifully, thank you so much for taking the time to help me man. One last question before I leave you guys alone, is there any formid list for unarmed and the unarmed weapons similar to the melee one? I don't see it if it is there. Thanks again for the help, this is exactly what I was looking for. EDIT: Upon further inspection, the unarmed weapons seem to be included in the melee list. That actually fits me perfectly, thanks for the help.
  4. Hmm, can I then attach this to a perk? And is there no way to make it apply to all weapons in the melee category, so that other mod added weapons would work without modifying them? In either case, thanks for the swift reply, very much appreciated.
  5. Hey there, I have been trying to make melee a bit more powerful in my game lately and rather than just increasing the damage done by it I wanted more survivability. When I am running IWS and HarderThanYou, melee is not really an option. So I have been trying to make perks that increase your DT while you have melee weapons equipped, but I seem to be unable to do this. I found a parameter --Increase DT (defender)-- which is used for toughness for instance but I can't seem to apply it to weapons, not my weapons at least. I was wondering if it was possible to do this with a script, I have never really done anything with scripts, but I am hoping this wouldn't be too hard. Anyway, thank you for reading and any help or tips would be appreciated.
  6. At the moment Fallout 3 has a larger mod library, and many very good mods that have been worked on a lot. (A few personal recommendations, by far my favorite mods - For guns, check out FOOK2 or Book of Earache - For quests, check out Project Heaven series - For immersion, DCInteriors project.) But if you check the nexus sites for both games, you will see that there is more activity on New Vegas these days, so in a few months I think they will be comparable. One other thing you may want consider, Fallout 3 will not be getting more official DLC so buying the GOTY is a solid move, whereas New Vegas will probably get 3-5 more DLC packs, so it may be a good move to wait for a complete package but that may take up to a year or so. Hope that helps.
