  1. So i ended up deleting the "transmute ore" .pex file ... is there a place i might be able to get a copy? i cant seem to restore it when verifying the integrity of game files.
  2. ive been looking around and through a few posts but i havent quite found what im looking for... when it comes to the idea of a grand worldspace at some point or another the person creating it has to rely on some sort of at least broad idea of what the whole thing is going to look like. as you can probably imagine i have never done an exterior wordspace although i have done many smaller projects in worldspaces i dont quite know what the best way to approach this project would be... i used a geographical map to roughly plan out a layout of what i wanted but the only question is this: is there anyway i can somehow translate that into the creation kit effectively? (i.e overlay for large area editing) im not entirely sure im asking the right questions either... one of the main points of reference is of course roads/highways/interstates. i could in theory freehand it so to speak but i feel like the proportions and scale may get lost to some degree by doing it this way. if anyone has more experience with this sort of thing id greatly appreciate the advice, thank you.
  3. having a strange plane appear in the model viewer. more often than not it obscures what im trying to get a look at. is there any way to turn it off?
  4. at some point during the process of editing the sanctuary hills world space (post war) i ended up altering the elevator in some way causing the player to go through the cutscene of exiting the vault and falling back down the hole immediately. im trying to make sense of FO4Edit (ive made backups) but every thing related to the Vault 111 ext i delete doesn't seem to change anything. not sure if im missing something or if something has been altered that i may be unaware of?
  5. not sure where to begin with this one... im making an interior and the default material swap for this static item is displaying the wrong material swap? there is a few varations of this one, this particular one varies in the material swap by default unlike the others (i.e Blue/White/Bare metal) EDIT: File didnt post... https://imgur.com/a/uAlCIQT

  8. Edit: removed both of those but no dice. i must have seriously borked somthing ha.
  9. ill You accidentally removed the holotape reference MQ102CodsworthHolotape01REF.That probably changed also the quest alias to point to none. So you need to remove those changes, do a backup of your esp just in case, and fix it in xEdit: So you would need to open your esp in xEdit, search for 0005258B (Which is the reference of the holotape) and remove this override record from your plugin, then search for 0001CC2A (the quest MQ102) and remove the override record of the quest from your plugin too. That could or couldn't be the cause of the crash, but you'll need to fix it in order to get MQ102 running again anyway. ill try this. thank you.
  10. 1.)The game works fine without my mod. 2.)it changes Sanctuary's Landscape and a few unimportant buildings but keeps essential ones (i.e codsworths player home and the one across the street from that) 3.)there are a few physics objects ive turned into static ones, not sure if that would cause any issues but id assume that would only CTD on entering the interior with which those are found. 4.)as for warnings i get that: https://pastebin.com/h54nGfFE from reading it a little bit it looks like it might be somthing with the navmeshing? not sure. tried testing it without navmeshing in the area with no change as well as with quickly generated havok navmeshes.   11. before i made this post (for the purpose of having as few variables as possible) i had cleared out my fallout folder, in other words the only files in there are default files and the mod im currently making. i hate to imagine something im doing with this mod is causing errors, heck i wish i knew what it was though.
  12. so... i tried starting from the beginning and i got to the part where you come to in the vault to find that nora hadn't loaded in and i was stuck in the cryopod...weird. then i tried "coc sanctuaryext" which resulted in a CTD. i feel like im missing somthing.
  13. im trying to make a mod that alters sanctuary and add an interior however when it comes time to test the thing it crashes as soon as i leave Vault 111. it should also be noted that i dont have ANY other mods active.
