  1.

when you install SMIM a fomod pops up select the full install with dlc.

But I did custom. Its the same just that I choose what gets installed.

if you select custom it add an esp for every thing you select if you choose full it only adds 1 esp and there is no reason to select custom in SMIM anyway.

I mean there are some things I want different. But I can do it full, not a big difference anyways. But why should I do it? Do less ESPs translate to more performance? First time I here that.

  2. The GPU is fine the CPU is probably a bottle neck for it.

you can only use of them:

    107 6b FasterArrows75.esp
    108 6c FasterArrows50.esp
    109 6d FasterArrows100.esp
    110 6e FasterArrows.esp

Are you already using Crash Fixes and ENBoost (or an ENB)?

post your mod setup info using modwatch: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56640/?

    1. Thanks, I didnt see that Faster Arrows had multiple ESPs. But thanks to you I found out that ABT is basically an updated version of that, so I removed Faster Arrows and installed ABT.

    2. I am using crash fixes but not ENBoost. Maybe I should try it out.

    3. Thanks, I was searching for a way to do the things mopdwatch does. Here is the link: https://modwat.ch/u/AGermanGuy

  3. Hello guys!

After 1 year of absence I decided to replay skyrim again and installed about 150 mods. Everything works fine except for the performance. I am at about 30 FPS, sometimes even less. And while my PC isnt the best, it is quite good with a new GTX 1060 6GB and an AMD FX 8320 8 core.

I dont have many graphical mods installed and most of them have nearly 0 performance loss. So I am thinking it could be script heavy mods. Pls help me identify which mods are causing the bad FPS so I can deinstall them!

EDIT: Original modlist removed and instead using modwatch now: https://modwat.ch/u/AGermanGuy

  4. I would like to roleplay a character that got mutated and grew insect wings, like that of a bloodbug or bloatfly (but obviously way bigger). They DO NOT have to enable flight, I just need them for roleplaying purposes. Though flight would be cool. I am also willing to DONATE some money (not much, I am not rich, maybe 20€?) for the creator of this mod.

    Thanks in advance!

  5. You can check the patches yourself in, for example, TES5Edit, to see what changes might be required. Some of the Audio Overhaul patches are not even necessary if you set your load order correctly - and this is something you only see in TES5Edit. So you can use that one to determine which patches you actually need, adjust your load order to reduce the amount of patches needed, and then see if the still-necessary patches need updating. Updating a patch might be a bit tricky, but you might be able to see something by loading AOS 2, the conflicting mod and the old patch in TES5Edit and comparing what the conflicts are and how the patch has them covered.

I use AOS 2 and Immersive Sounds Compendium myself, and I have not noticed them causing any crashes. Comments sections are great, it helps you get an overall idea of how the mod is doing, but unfortunately there are also uninformed people commenting there. For example the SkyUI comments section receives the occasional "too bad can't use, cause CTD", "magic menu crashes with this" and all that, when in reality, the problem exists between the keyboard and the chair, or in another mod that has issues.

If you know what you are doing, and have a truly stable mod setup and all that, with no unnecessary harmful tweaks (like Papyrus ini section tweaks and other stuff), you could use ENBoost, together with Crash Fixes (and also Bug Fixes while you are at it - it includes the lipsync fix, too). ENBoost and Crash Fixes have helped me get rid of almost all crashing (I dare not say "all"), as it was still a sort of an issue, even with a very stable and modest mod setup.

If you use Crash Fixes, you should use the OS memory allocator feature from it, for which you will need the SKSE Plugin Preloader linked in the description. When you use the OS allocators feature, you can disable the SKSE memory patch (or SSME if you use it) and uninstall SafetyLoad, because those are then obsolete. If you use Stable uGridsToLoad mod, uninstall it if you do not need it for some odd reason - uGridsToLoad should be kept at 5, because raising it can cause all sorts of issues. See the Crash Fixes description page for more info and all the details.

Oh well. Before I get completely sidetracked, you could try the mods yourself. As I mentioned, people seem to comment on mods that actually work without issues (like SkyUI), saying they cause crashes, when the issue is elsewhere. Installing mods takes time, patience and getting to know how things (overall) work, and apparently not all have quite figured out how installing mods works - the byproduct of which can be seen in the comments sections.

Of course it is possible that a mod causes crashes, but it is also possible that the issue is no within the mod itself, and that the user has just had some difficulties getting the game and the mod setup working. Keeping the amount of added content modest, and using ENBoost and Crash Fixes usually helps one get quite far.

Hopefully that helps a little. Happy modding.

    Edit: Typo extermination...

Edit 2: Also thank you for mentioning the ELFX path thing. When I have the time, I can check it, since I also use ELFX myself, too. But I do not use the weather module from it, I use Purity for weather, and if I remember correctly (currently on my laptop, no gaming here), setting the load order correctly might have been enough, and the patch for AOS2 + Purity might not have been necessary. But that is just my memory, and it has proven to be somewhat unreliable ocasionally. I cannot remember what the ELFX patch was about at all, for some reason, so I need to check that, hopefully tomorrow.

Yeah, sad things is I have absolutely no idea how to use TES5Edit and not really the time to learn it :D

But thanks for the Crash and Bug Fixes, I didnt know these exist until now!

I myself use ELFX and Purity, funny :D

I actually havent installed any mods yet. It took me 2 days to find all the 110! mods and download them for my new Skyrim Run after 2 years. I just hope everything is gonna be stable :D

  6. What do you mean by outdated?

Edit: As in, last I checked, Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 and Immersive Sounds Compendium both had no large bugs, and I have not heard of any small bugs, either. Both were recently updated, AOS 2 in August 2015 and IS Compendium in April 2016. So I do not understand how hey would be "outdated"... Maybe the search feature could help you? Or the categories, there is a whole category for sounds. And if you do not find anything that suits you, you can make your own sounds and add them to the game. It might actually turn out to be a nice hobby if you give it a try: if a mod does not exist, it is always possible to make one oneself.

Hm, from what I read in the comment sections they had pretty big bugs, like CTDs etc. Also, that some of the patches are in dire need of updating, like ELFX, and I am using ELFX.

Im just gonna give it a try then.

  7. Since a very long time I want wings in Fallout 4 because I want to roleplay a winged mutant. Just wings, no flying animations or anything. Since nobody has done it yet I decided to juust do it myself. But I have ABSOLUTELY no clue how to mod at all. I am only interested in modding wings into my game, not any other thing like NPCs or such. Any help in finding the right tutorials and such is appreciated!

  8. Hey guys! I would like to play a mutant who has grown insect wings after a not so nice interaction with a highly irradiated bloatfly. If someone could do that (they dont have to have the ability to fly, just the wings), it would be so awesome!

  9. 1) hack your .ini file to disable texture streaming- then set your textures to highest in options.

    2) use the enb thingy to fool the system into thinking you have more VRAM than you do

    3) use 'vivid textures' to improve AND lower many texture footprints

    4) use the new godrays hack to lower the weight of ray tesselation, and set to highest.

These REVERSE the synthetic methods Bethesda implemented to make it seem the game needed a higher spec of GPU than it really does.

A LOT of so-called performance mods and guides on the Nexus were plain RUBBISH- a lot of advice that was insanely wrong (settings that don't even effect the FO4 engine, for instance). Other mods trashed the visuals of the game, when changes like I listed above allow far better performance at near the HIGHEST visual settings.

The only major texture replacer that I found made any kind of performance difference was 'vivid', despite the download success of some early texture replacement mods. A lot of downloads is no proof of quality, especially where wishful thinking is involved.

Really speaking, for modern games that exist on the Xbone, having a PC at least as fast as an Xbone (4-core cpu, 260X/750TI) is essential. And I don't get why anyone would try to run FO4 on a non-gaming laptop, when Skyrim is a MUCH better game, with MUCH better mods, and is far more friendly to out-of-date hardware.

I use a 6870, and wouldn't want to go any lower than that. But at 720P. there are few recent AAA games that this GPU can't run well on highish settings at 720P.

    1. What is texture streaming and how do I disable it? And what exactly does it do?

    2. I tried that. I didnt really see any difference to be honest.

    3. Okay.

    4. I have godrays turned off anyways.

  10. All things said about the black and white of the games ever since Bethesda took over... I honestly never thought that the Enclave was all that bad. They did evil s***, don't get me wrong, but I always felt as though their bad rep, especially in Fallout 3 was mostly underserved. They always seemed mostly to be a foil for the Brotherhood of Steel. Where the Brotherhood is a secretive military clubhouse that mostly just consolidates and hordes technology unlike the Enclave (whose claims towards being a legitimate US government ARE valid despite fanboy bashing) trended towards openly using their technology actively for hostile population cleansing. If you compare how the Brotherhood operates in Boston and the Majove, very anti-mutant and anti-ghoul, the Enclave was merely being honest with its intentions unlike other factions. Fallout 3's Brotherhood of Steel is... to be blunt, 'rosy eyed' and has nothing to do with their depiction in any of the other games... except maybe Fallout Tactics...

Also, if we are to be honest, the Enclave pretty much had the best chances to put the world back together... but were sabotaged by the player across several games... kind of like COBRA, lolz. In Fallout 3, I like to think that if Colonel Autumn hadn't killed dear old dad, then there would have been a rather high probability of the player actually joining up with the Enclave against the Brotherhood of Steel. You have to keep in mind, if you look at the game objectively you see the Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave doing the following.

    1) Patrolling the wasteland for threats

    2) Launching strike missions into Washington DC

However, the Enclave gets a bad rep for one single atrocity spawn near the reservoir where they burn ghouls in a trailer. Nevermind the numerous scientist doing field research you see wondering around, or those few spawns where you see them fighting raiders... both things the Brotherood of Steel never ever did in the game.

They, more than any other faction, have always been depicted stunningly and irredeemably negative. Hell, even Caesar's Legion was said to have some good points with how they locked trade down back East against raiders. Yet, whenever anyone mentions the Enclave, it's always as 'pure evil.' I have to hand it to the BOS, that's some damn good PR they did...

I think you missed that part in the story where they wanted to kill all non pure humans with FEV.

  11. Someone is bound to remove the restrictions on the power armor jumppack for sustained flight amd there will most likely be player operated vertibirds.

;-) so do not worry, perhaps not mutated wings but you will be able to fly

Hm interesting. But still i would like to have wings for roleplaying :D

Technically they should be possible, because this is the Skyrim engine and as we all know there is a very well made wings mod out for skyrim.

  12. This may sound weird, but i would love a wings mod for Fallout 4. I would love role playing as a mutant with wings. There was a wings mod for NV, but it was only skins and no flying and stuff like that. I dont think anyone would do such a weird mod for a post apocalyptic game, but why not try asking? :D

  13. Originally it represented the end of WWI the war officially ended on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year 1918.

It grew into a day of remembrance for the losses in all wars and later into a holiday in the US, Great Britian, Canada and other countries. In the US it is Veterans Day, In UK, Remembrance Day.

You will see people wearing red poppies in remembrance on Nov 11.

Oh okay. Im from Germany so that explains why i didnt know anything about that Rememberance Day.
