  1. Consider using http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/332/? <- ENBoost (read everything) it will change some of yours RAM to VRAM (PC RAM to graphics RAM) witch should get You a big boost, because now you are using Your's HDD or SSD as a part of SWAP (virtual memory) witch is slower than RAM speed.

Second thing that You should do is to Defragmented Your's HDD and SSD using 3rd party software like Asulogics Disc Defrag -> http://www.auslogics.com/en/software/disk-defrag/download/ and use some tutorials on how it works.

Try that first and let me know how it worked.

Believe me I'm using 8 years old PC and I'm getting 25-30 FPS in town (open world) 40-60 FPS wen not in town (open world) and 55-60 FPS in buildings with FSP-lock at 60 FPS, therefore i could get more. But I'm still suffer from loading time from HDD SWAP (Virtual RAM) to VRAM (graphics RAM) and in that time I'm can go to make a coffee

My current Spec: (Try not to laugh)

    Intel Xeon E5420 - 4x2.5 GHz

    4GB DDR2 088 MHZ RAM

    XFX HD6850 1GB GDDR5 VRAM

    2 SATA 1 HDD + 1 PATA HDD

    It's a PC worth around 200 $ USD

I once tried that out too but it didnt do anything.

I got a PC under minimum requirements and can luckily play the game at low and Full HD with 30 FPS or 20 in high populated areas.

  2.

Its funny when people play with everything on ultra or high and before thinking that -maybe- turning down the graphics options may give you more FPS, they start a new thread on the forums.

even poeple that have pc's that can outrun the game have FPS problem on ultra and maybe they dont want to play on medium/low so that why they ask but idk why they have to make a new thread everytime since it been awser so many times now.

It doesnt matter if they "dont wanna play on Medium or Low". If they have FPS problems and dont wanna lower graphics, its their problem.

  3. Anyone else has some problems with Vault 81? Did all quests but i cant find Calvin anymore to sell him tools and i also cant sell my fertilizer to Dr. Penske.

Also read that some people have these issues too.

  4. A game that is about survival and scavenging should have all these features by default, but like it was mentioned, they have to cater for the kiddies so they dont even include such things even IN SURVIVAL MODE.

I honestly cant wait to see what mods come out for this. Given this is Papyrus, i reckon a port of iNeed from Skyrim will likely be very easy. Probably a lot of mods at that.

    I like F4 more than F3. Am i a kid now?

  5. Wasnt sure if i should put this into general discussion or Mod talk. I put it into here because i saw some "mods" at nexus that had premade characters.

Well its a simple request. I am not good at doing characters and i would like it if someone could do Korra from "The Legend of Korra" cartoon series as a character (the variant with long hair from season 1)

    Thanks in advance.

PS: If its wrong here pls move the topic.

  6. I know that sounds weird lol

I would like to roleplay a mutant human who got experimented on in one of the vaults and got implanted insect wings. But there is no wings or flying mod out there for Fallout. I dont think anyone will do such a mod, but asking isnt too much right? :)

  7. Hey guys!

    I have:

    AMD Athlon 2 X2 3.0 GHZ

    8GB Ram

    1 GB Nvidia Geforce GTX650

Do you think its enough for Fallout 4?

I can play Skyrim at Ultra without FPS Drops. And Fallout 4 uses an improved Skyrim engine.

So is it enough to play F4?

I am also saving for a FX 8320, is it enough with this CPU?

  8. Wow, so much arguing going on...

I've donated well over $100 to various mod makers, not an impressive amount, but it doesn't hurt. Depending on how good SkyUI 5 was, I might have bought that as well. Of course with all the backlash, it doesn't seem likely that they will ever release it now. Paid or otherwise.

I would personally pay to install mods like: ENB, SKSE, Sky UI, Race Menu, CBBE, Bodyslide ect. because they improve the quality of the game by so much.

I can see why people might be upset at the idea of paying for mods, they've been free since Morrowind, so I think people are used to that. The idea is that since they are making mods using a program provided by Bethesda, that those mods shouldn't cost a dime. What they don't realise is that it takes an enormous amount of time to create a mod. It takes even more time just to learn how to mod.

As an artist I can sympathise with the mod creators.

Do I enjoy making artwork? Yes I do.

Would I like to get paid for making it? Yes I would.

Would people pay for my artwork? Eh, debatable.

Have I had people tell me that the five years I spent drawing is not worth getting paid for/paying for? Yeah.

Have I had people tell me that if I want to get paid for my art I should get a job in art? Yeah

I'm not going to stop drawing because people won't pay me, but it also gave me less incentive to bother posting it anymore. Eventually I posted less and less, until I shut my account for good.

Sure, it's great for people to see it and I like that people do enjoy it, but in the end, you ask for a dollar and you get a slap to the face from the very same people who profess to love your work.

(Need an example? Just check the posts on the SkyUI page.)

Then they say that your mod/art "Isn't good enough to get paid for" or "You're just greedy now."

"People should only mod if they love making mods, not for the sake of making money."

This coming from people who don't make mods is the reason we are in this mess. They don't understand, sure it's a labor of love, but throwing a bone our way doesn't hurt. But do you really think most mod authors see a dime? Hell, most people don't endorse the mods they like, much less toss a few dollars the author's way.

Some don't care about being paid, but when the opportunity to get paid gets lynched less than 24 hours out the gate, that's pretty pathetic.

The vocal majority of PC gamers have become the most pathetic, whiny, garbage group of entitled meat bags, I hesitate to call myself a PC gamer now. We are on a downward spiral because nobody ever gets satisfied. Don't settle for mediocre, but don't expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter.

i still have the opinion that a hobby shouldnt be paid for. yes modders are doing an awesome job, but its still a hobby. if they wanna get money for their work, they should search for a job as a game designer or however its called in murica.

and i would love to donate, but i cannot afford it.

  9. i said it often and i will say it again....

modders dont deserve to be paid. dont get me wrong, they are all doing an awesome job, but modding is a hobby and not a job.

and saying that modders have bills too and should get paid is also nonesense. i have bills too. i am working hard for my hobbies too. wheres my money now?

and as i said in my other thread: in my eyes modding will be only for the rich in the future. people with not so much money like me cant use all mods then while people with more money can afford all mods and so have a wider range of mods to choose from. before the paid mods, everyone, if poor or rich, could use all mods.

Aside from making the game, scripts, assets, world, story, lore, etc. etc. etc. But these are all minor things that are never included in top mods. Further Valve has revolutionized PC gaming with the steam platform and the accessibility to games it provides. Team Fortress 2 and DOTA 2 have had paid mod content for a long time and things are fine. As to the 25% cut well that is a different and much more difficult argument.

are you kidding me? sry, but .... HATS ARE NOT MODS!

Another point i would like to add, reguardless of the philosophy of the Paid Steam Mods this is now a new Job field which mean i can now start training fellow students at my university not just in Unity but also the CK, whicn means people going to school with the EXPRESS GOAL of beciming GAME DEVELOPERS will start making (paid) skyrim mods and i like to think between the large Paid Projects many smaller (free) mods will make it here to the nexus...end result.

More Mods on both sides, created by trained professionals with a passion for the field....

HOW is that a bad thing?

this isnt a job field. just because you can now make money from mods doesnt make it a job. its still a hobby. and im still thinking that a hobby shouldnt be paid.

  11.

yes, ofc many mods will stay free. but i currently have 150 JUST for skyrim, and its possible that at least some of them turn paid. imagine JUST 10 turning paid, 10 essential mods. and they cost 2€ each. thats 20 euros. thats as much as i paid for the game.

many people are only upset about the systejm because valve gets 75% but nobody cares that there are people who cant afford buying mods...

Then you just don't use those mods.

I have mods on my PC that I have created, that I do not make available to others. The existence of these mods does not impact you in any way, so why should those mods be any different? It does not change what you already have installed, and even essential mods can be replaced once there is reason for someone to spend the effort to make a replacement. Rest assured, those who previously had their mods for free but which are now putting them behind a pricetag are not benefiting much from their decision currently. The number of people jumping over to make profit will certainly be relatively small and mostly limited to smaller or new mods simply because of the way that Steamworks installs mods.

"dont use these mods then" brilliant. so i just stop using the mods that i use since more than 2 years. brilliant.

so paid mods are a good idea cuz you could just not buy/use them.... wow....

EDIT: this new system, be it good or bad, still makes modding only for the rich if you use many mods. so rich people can use more mods then poor people.
