  1. it is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing. on subject of mouse thumb buttons i recommend trying binding sprint in games to mouse thumb button. used it ever since first tried 10 years ago. you have fingers resting on crouch+jump+sprint all at once with it and don't need to use toggle sprint or toggle crouch which is much better control.
  2. In 2077 you come across where a Gig/Cyberpsycho happens to be, and somehow the Fixer knows you're there and decides to communicate to you about it because V has convenienlty stumbled across it. NCPD situations exist permanently all over the map in a frozen state V can see them happening, but nothing happens until V goes there. How it should be: Gigs/Cyberpsycho/NCPD events would not be loaded into the game world by default. V has option on Phone, or whatever, to turn on/off being Available To Work for individual Fixers/for NCPD. When V is set as Available then there's a chance that a Fixer will phone V and offer an unspecified job/NCPD will make an announcement of a situation. The job will be randomly selected, and V can accept or decline. If V declines then the job will not be loaded into the world, it will be put back in the queue of randomly selected jobs when V selects. If V accepts then the job will be loaded into the world, V will get the details, and V travels to the job. You would come up with a chance system of Fixers offering jobs, such as each hour in game since V completing a job for a specific FIxer there's an extra ~1% chance that Fixer will phone and offer another job, then a latent chance system in the background of time since V completed any Fixer's job increasing chance for any Fixer to phone V etc. If V declines a job with a Fixer then a decrease in chance for that Fixer, and all Fixers, in order to stop it ending up non stop calls after not having done a job for a while and not having switched the Available off. Then you can add changes in probability based on whether V has switched Available mode on/off, and you would also add ability to phone a Fixer to Ask for a job and a chance that Fixer will have a job to offer, and if not then it increases chance that Fixer will offer a job in the coming hours. When V accepts a job then all of these are switched off while V is doing a job etc. I'm guessing this wouldn't be possible as a mod, but something like this is how it would ideally be for it to be immersive and make sense.
