Would love to see a journal mod for fallout 3! Would definatly breath new meaning into playing again for me! Love th skyrim journal...immerses you much more in the game!

Been searching a while now and only found a thread here asking the same thing, a journal mod for f3. Been playing several years now on and off, love the journal mod for Skyrim, think it really helps get immersed in the game and like you have a purpose and feeling for what you have done or about to do. Any chances of a journal mod, thinking either a handwritten book journal type, or maybe be able to write in the pipboy if thats possible? Tried my hand at modding a few years back and last year again, which led to me having to wipe the computer, not sure what i did but not to keen to try modding after that! Have skyrim as well, managed to unistall that and get it working again, just cant seem to find whatever remaining files from fallout that says it is still installed on my system so until then i can reinstall fallout....Just got new vegas, thought it required fallout threee to play but saw its a standalone. I have limited bandwidth, so i bought the cd version of the game, yet i still have to download from steam??? What is the point of having cd version if you still have to download the game from them? Makes it really hard, 8 gigs download and only have 15gig for the month....would be nice to have a halfway measure maybe, what about people with bad connections or even less bandwitdh, they cant get the game?

No luck :-( Tried compatibility mode...same error.... Think its like i read in another post there are leftover files, but to get them you have to know what your doing, going after registry files, or the i risk messing my entire system up.... Any ideas on which boxes to check in ccleaner in the advanced options that may help?

Have the retail version, havnt even gotten to the dlc content yet :-) To tired and disapointed at yet failing again to get to play fallout 3....think it all started whith the latest windows 8.1 update, know my skyrim crashed and coulnt get that to work either.... maybe easiest is just to go back to windows 7....to tired to keep fighting right now...will see after work tomorow is i have some energy left over to have another crack at it! Thanks rabbit, have ccleaner and have been using it for a few years now but always at most basic settings, any box i should check to get rid of these orphan files in ccleaner? All advanced boxes are unchecked.

Dang, ok turns out i have an Intel® HD graphics 4600 card...just read about switching graphics cards,? Im not that computer wise, any help? *EDIT* (ok wait...dang feel really dumb here, ws in system hardware which showed above, while cc cleaner shows amd radeon HD 7900...as graphic cards...confusing

Hi, had to clean my computer a while back, tried recently to reinstall fallout 3 but shows up as though the games is still installed, tried all methods of deleting the game when cleaning, and looked in what folders the forums have said to look in to remove files, searches come up with nothing, tried installing from cd as administrator and get the below mentioned error, any clue? Also getting 'fallout 3 unable to find ini file'. Downloading Mod Organizer as i type...hope it solves my issues.....need my skyrim fix soon...bored watching crappy tv shows and sitting there thinking of all the things that i could do and need to do in skyrim! :-) Sorry for later reply! just updated all patches, did it through nmm, was working fine until installed latest patch for requiem, 1.8 i think....will return to older patch of requiem...never had so much trouble with a patch before....3 days of one problem after another...before this patch...not a single problem with the game... :-( Will have one last go at unistalling and re-installing like you said, dont know if all patches are the same so will have another check... thanks for the replies and help! Will get back on how it goes....if not...checked myself into mental hospital for mental breakdown....that such small things can cause such headaches ehhh...

Ever since installing requiems latest patch.1.8? ive been stuck, trying to run loot to sort load order but cant get unofficial skyrim patch above unofficial dawnguard which is crashing the game it seems, any help here would be greatly appreciated! Ive moved it as high it will go in nexus mod manager go but game tells me same error all the time..... LOOT Error: Failed to calculate the load order. Ok, seem to be one step closer, see at the end that its looking in [sPGlobal] Skyrim.ini believed to be in: C:\Users\Claes\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini. File exists. while all mods, etc are installed in steam apps skyrim folder....i take it this is what i need to change? Have no idea how to though, move it to steam folder or move steam folder to my games folder... done this before to have complete failures leading to having to re install games completely(whuich is why im also asking!)... isn't an option here for me either, as im on limited bandwidth...only have >1gb left for month and steam always wants to download everything again when i remove a game.... if that now is the only problem? :pinch:

Great, just read that i caant deactivate my ir on my laptop because its directly linked with my keyboard, weird way of doing things, hp laptop by the way. Will try installing outside in other folder, installed it in prog filesx86, otherwise, ring of gods will be next Thanks for all the help guys!

Hi Guys! Started playing oblivion again after a year or so, and messing about with the mods and everything. Got a new comp with win 7, and dont know if thats the problem as i cant open the text console, the one you normally get by pressing the ~ key. It works in notepad and everything, just now when i oress it in game, ive tied everything,? ANy ideas? Thanks Claes79
