  1. I like that I managed to remember my password. I like that it's over a year since I posted. I like that it was probably even longer before that. I like that it will probably be even longer before I do so again. I like trains.
  2. I like that I can still remember my password. I like that this place is somehow still alive. I like that I probably won't login again until the next time I get bored and decide to crack out oblivion. I like that some people have tried to contact me on here (ha! good luck) I like that I'm still surprised to see the 'new' forum design.
  3. *Looks at join date* Old nexus guys? Hell, I'm not an 'old' nexus guy. I remember guys who were old nexus guys leaving and reminiscing when I joined.
  4. I've not seen a mod for it, so I'd give it a go! it looks like it has a better shape to me. I just wish the made it look more like the concept art: http://media.teamxbox.com/games/ss/1041/1131575763.jpg
  5. 701: You can drop swords on to people's heads from great heights and not harm them 702: There is a brick item you can pick up and put in your inventory, although it is entirely useless.
  6. Maybe Bethesda polishes the Gamebryo engine some more so they'd have a graphical "Jump" like they had from morrowind to Oblivion. A TES Game that looks as good as its predecessor? Nah, i want my TES Game to be this uber awesome Graphic thing that looks amazing in Trailers and demos, but plays a bit wonky so i can apply a million mods.Furthermore, i'd have no one but myself to blame if i scream for a new TES game now and then it comes out unfinished, like the last one did. "Oblivion" has plenty of things that make it pretty apparent that the Game had to be rushed. How is the Ship we see sailing in the intro supposed to get past Leyawin? Where did the City "Sutch" we saw in concept arts go?Well, Oblivion is missing some polishing. I'd like TES 5 to be better polished. If they need more time fr that, so be it. What city? The only city in the concept art is Leyawiin (looking much cooler than it is in game). http://www.elderscrolls.com/art/obliv_conceptart.htm In fact, a city named 'Sutch' is not mentioned in any lore, unlike other cities, and is not featured on any maps. The closest thing that exists is Fort Sutch.
  7. There's a mod I've got called Blood Elven Armour, which is a retextured elven armour (no prizes for guessing the colour), and it looks great for evil characters. Also, Capes And Cloaks has black cloaks with the inside red, it looks very vampire-esque. I use it together with the Hardened leather armour cuirass and gauntlets from Adonnays Elven Weaponry and the greaves and boots from the Treeshadow mod (basically black leather armour, but with a cool cape and shield bearing the Ayleid tree symbol).
  8. I don't face much troubles with making character too. And I always use Imperial, I can't imagine playing another vanilla or moded race, and I'm always male. I usually use Redguards or Dark Elves. I like my characters to be badass, rather than cute. Partially because making them look cute would be much harder than making them look badass (messing aroud with the brow, cheeks and mouth seem to be most effective), and partially because making them look cute would be stupid. If I'm cutting a bloody swathe through the planes of Oblivion, I want a character that looks like they shoud be there, rather than someone that looks like they've just walked out of a Tokyo fashion shop.
  9. It looks great... but it doesn't look like Metal Gear Solid. I mean, obviously, lack of Snake, but that's ok, we've seen his story. But it doesn't appear very stealthy. I can only hope that it will be like MGS4 and have action and stealth integrated together, and they just didn't show the stealth.
  10. Well, this is kinda big news. Valve have never made a game for the PS3, and no one suspected they would because Gabe Newell has made quite a few remarks against it. He did also say that Valve's E3 suprise would not be HL3.
  11. Together with stealth you can be a marksman, it's entirely feasible. I regularly use marsksmanship, I always have a blade and a bow hotkeyed.
  12. How strange. I seem at odds with the community at large here; I don't have much trouble making a good face with vanilla, and I would never use Cute Elves and the like because I loathe 'cute' elves and the like.
  13. The Nexus- Join or we take your firstborn child.
  14. I never have massive problems creating my characters, but then, I rarely play female characters and all these 'cute elf' types can be damned for all I care. I have three main characters; A gaunt dark elf, a rougish looking redguard, achieved by making him moderately gaunt, achieved by giving him a slightly more chiseled jawline and giving him a slightly smiling mouth and a square-jawed nord. I have a feeling this is what is was designed for, that's why I found it so easy. General tips for normal looking characters: Keep the brow quite low, especially inner. Otherwise they look silly, like they're suprised Don't make the cheeks too fat, then they look like hamsters Khajiit always look the same. Deal with it. Don't put they eyes to high, it makes the face look long and horse-like Whatch what you're doing when make the beard darker; it seems to give orcs an extra pair of nostrils and can make the face go quite pale and off-colour.
  15. Vampires foremost because I like the idea of hunting vampires. Other than that, bandits and marauders. I love picking them off in dungeons one by one, it's incredibly amusing.
