  1. This is old, but I'm pretty sure it's correct. Just ran into a similar issue. Tnx.
  2. This is a very old post, but in case anyone is interested. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43025/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D43025%26preview%3D&pUp=1
  3. This is really old, but in case anyone else did a google search and wondered the same thing.
  4. NM. Apparently this strange problem has randomly fixed itself. The initial autosave was always corrupt, but making new saves after that seems to have fixed the problem. Like something carried over from the last game. In any case, it works. Don't know, don't much care.
  5. *Oh no! The title was cut off for some reason. =/* Anyway. Recently I started a new game after having removed a script-intensive mod in order to start a clean save file. It was locational damage. After 3 hours in, I realized something was wrong when Amazing Follower Tweaks option for a companion was not there. I restarted the mod through the in-game menu, and was instructed to save and re-load by the on-screen prompt. I did, but when I hit F9 for quickload the game states that this isn't possible due to save game corruption. After reverting back a dozen save files or so, I realized all of my saves were apparently corrupted. Being so close to the beginning of the game I decided to start over again. Riding in the wagon with Ralof, I saw the usual screen information about MCM menus being recognized and applying settings etc. Then a strange indicator stated. "Your follower cannot accompany you here". Thinking that was strange but no problem, I waiting for the rest of the ride to be over until the first default autosave kicked in, then I hit F9. "The save game is corrupted and cannot be loaded." Had a minor freak out, then thought a re-install of the game's core files would fix whatever the issue is, it didn't. I also deleted the save folder altogether and made a new one, no good. So I removed the follower mod and re-installed it, still no change. Then I re-installed SKSE thinking that may have had something to do with it, still nothing. Finally, I removed all new mods to the last known working configuration-- no change. Apparently every save file is reported as corrupted, and I don't understand why. The nexus forums is my last bastion of hope. This is the strangest Skyrim error I've ever come across, and no one else seems to have a similar problem. At this point I've seen Ralof so many times, that if i hear anything else about Juniper berries my head will explode. Any assistance on this would be appreciated. Just some info.-- I use TES5Edit, cleaned the bethesda master files, and removed all ITMs from files BOSS reports to contain dirty edits. I use a merged patch, and removed leveled items and NPCs from the list since Wrye Bash does that. I also use Skyre, and have the appropriate patches/reproccer load order. Everything is now exactly the same for the last two months Skyrim has been running-- save for this random error.
  6. This vanilla critter script is one of the biggest problems involving a functional, long-term game. After a large number of hours for whichever character I happen to be on, I would randomly freeze on the loading screen from fast travel or just transitioning to a new area. Of course, can't be 100% sure that this script alone is the culprit. But the log is filled with all sorts of errors related to critters every time a freeze occurs. Makes Skyrim pretty much completely unplayable. I applied this script fix from the OP, and started a new game. Unfortunately from what I noticed it compounds the problem even more. The freezes would occur by just walking around the world. Before this adjustment was applied that would rarely ever happen, especially in the beginning areas of the game. Upon checking the logs after the freeze, the critter spam is everywhere right when Skyrim crashes. Bummer. Maybe there's a conflict I'm not aware of, as Steve40's adjustments with lvlpredator and dust as well as Skyre script fixes have served me well in the past. Not to mention his advice regarding birds and flocks/fxbirdfleescript. In any case, looking forward to a final version of this critter fix (if it's still being worked on) so I can rule some things out. I love TESV, but the constant troubleshooting is really starting to wear thin. Tnx btw Steve. Lots of ppl appreciate the stuff you do here-- myself included. EDIT: Re-installed everything. Game + mods. Crittermoth did make an appearance again at one point or another, but I'm relatively convinced it is not the cause of my CTDs/freezes. That's why these scripts did not work for me, what they addressed had nothing to do with the issues I was having. Just wanted to clear this up. Steve40's scripts work just fine, and I believe they've already been implemented into the latest version of the unofficial skyrim patch.
  7. In case anyone else has this problem, the above solution worked for me in a limited capacity. I was able to leave the winking skeever, but only once. When I returned, the same problem happened again as I tried to leave for the second time. This issue really does appear to be linked to the terrain manager adjustments regarding z-fighting tweaks. http://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=3266 This posting solved my problem. At least, everything works so far.
  8. Alternately, if you're not using the weather helper tool that goes along with the enb, you can just set this to zero in your skyrimprefs.ini bFloatPointRenderTarget=0 At least, this fixed it for me without changing my FXAA injector effects.
  9. If this is still going on, it's awesome. Kirk and Spock though? My next generation fanboyism was hoping for Picard lol.
  10. I've been getting crashes all day as well, so you're not alone lol. From what I've been able to gather from browsing the net, it would be helpful to list the following information as a way to rule things out-- 1. System Specs, from hardware to type of operating system 2. Recent changes to mods, .ini files, system or os/software 3. Mod load order, and whether or not you use BOSS 4. What kind of crash is it? Hard Freeze? Or is it a crash to desktop? You should also check the log. Put the following in your skyrim.ini in Documents > My Games > Skyrim:: [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation=1 Then after each crash, check Documents > My Games > Skyrim > Logs > Script Your most recent log will always be marked Papyrus.0 Check the last few lines of the log every time the game crashes. If you keep seeing the same text, it would be likely that has something to do with your problem. You can post that info here in case someone can help, as well as search more info online. Good luck to you. Still trying to figure out my own hard freeze issue. EDIT: Btw, anytime you make changes to your .ini files you should make a backup in case something goes wrong. If there's an undesirable outcome you can always replace it with the original file. Just copy and store in a folder somewhere you'll remember. Maybe on your desktop.
