  1. I'm trying to fix a mesh for a mod that I downloaded. I'm a beginner at this. The mod adds a wall, that functions like a divider. I would ask the mod author but they're no longer active. Also, I want to get a better understanding on how these mods are made. Any ways, this is what I noticed: The A frame posters(ones you need to attach a wire to power up), look to attach fine to the wall.Problem comes with attaching the paintings. Those sink into the wall, underneath the wall texture. One side you could partially see the painting in one corner, and the other you can't see it at all, except for the outer frame of the painting. At first, I thought it might've been texture, but that wouldn't do that, I don't think. I have been dabbling with nifskope, to try and fix it. I tried looking at one of the original vault internal walls and compared it to this one, and thought it was a connect point issue. However, I'm not seeing a change. Did something wrong happen with the nif conversion or is it something else? What do you guys think the issue may be?
  2. I installed Vault 88 Rooms Corners Plus. The part that I am interested is the single dividing wall. The only problem is putting decorations like paintings or posters on it seem to have issues. On one side of the wall it's fine with one corner, but as soon as you move to the other corner, it starts going underneath the wall like in the image below. On the second side of the wall it goes completely under. I would contact the mod author, but the author is no longer available. The only other mods that I have is the Unofficial Patch, Fusebox Generator, and Renovated Furniture. It seems most like that it is the mesh. I want to take a stab at fixing it. Do you guys have an idea what the issue may be?
  3. Not sure if this belongs here or in the Troubleshooting section, as my query is a little bit of help plus curious how it works. Now, I've been tinkering the poster mods, 'Posters For You' and 'Personal Posters', to get a grasp of how things are done. I've been tinkering with mostly 'Posters For You' to add more posters, as the max one is 50 and I wanted to add 50 more. I was able to do it but it seems like theres a lag in workshop. However, 'Personal Posters' adds 204 posters ( 102 A frame + 102 B frame), seems to be little to no lag for that. Now here are the things I seen while reviewing both mods in CK: The way 'Posters For You' is setup is that each poster is attached to it's own recipe, where as 'Personal Posters', is tied to a FormList and that is tied to a single recipe. Are there any benefits one over the other?'Posters For You' uses a new mesh, whereas 'Personal Posters' uses the existing poster frame meshes, and just need the material swaps and texture changes. 'Posters For You' mesh is larger than the existing poster mesh and looks to have glow textures as well. Is it because it needs to reference the outside mesh that it is causing the lag and/or the fact the texture is larger? If that's the case, is there some way to optimize it?The only mods I have active is the 'Renovated Furniture' Mod and 'Fusebox Generator' mod. I guess I could contact the mod authors, but I feel like want to take a look at it myself and to grasp a better understanding of how this works. I apologize if this been discussed to death.
  4. I had several ideas on a camera mod. As I have researched through the forums, is it would be very difficult or impossible to create a camera mod. I had some thoughts how it could be done. One way is to create a whole new character to add to your party that would be invisible from the start and you can use that character to control the camera movements. Another way could be items, charms, or rings that can make the character wearing it invisible. It could also be armor. It could be similar to the no armor hack with the exception that makes the character invisible as well. This would work with those that want to get screenshots. As my knowledge of modding is very early beginner at best, I could be mistaken but it would seem easier to create a mod that makes the characters invisible rather than actually trying to control camera itself. The control may not be as perfect as if you got actual control of the camera. ( If these ideas were said before, I apologize)
