  1. EDIT: NVM, managed to fix it by deleting data\vortex.deployment.json. So as the title states i'm getting the "Failed to deploy mods" error and also "failed to remove mods" error when i try to purge mods, to give a little insight as to what lead to these errors, i was busy modding Skyrim SE by following the NORDIC SKYRIM guide, and i was busy installing the "Hunting in Skyrim" mod, Vortex was in the middle of deploying it when my system crashed and i've been getting these errors since the system restarted, I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Vortex i completely deleted all folders linked to Vortex (except my mods download folder) and i'm still getting these errors. Unexpected Token in JSON: Error: Unexpected token in JSON at position 3145728. *** When you report this, please include the file "C:\Games\The Elder Scrolls - Skyrim - Special Edition\data\vortex.deployment.json ***" at tagFile (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\webpack:\src\extensions\mod_management\util\activationStore.ts:172:41) at tryCatcher (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\util.js:16:23) at Promise._settlePromiseFromHandler (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:512:31) at Promise._settlePromise (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:569:18) at Promise._settlePromise0 (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:614:10) at Promise._settlePromises (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\promise.js:689:18) at Async._drainQueue (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:133:16) at Async._drainQueues (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:143:10) at Async.drainQueues (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar\node_modules\bluebird\js\release\async.js:17:14) at <anonymous>
  2. Yeah, like Boris said most likely a CPU issue, Which sucks :/ it just feels like a major kick in the balls going from stable 80-100 with Reshade to barely being able to hit 45 in areas with ENB. As far as i know there is no forced AF in SSE ENB?
  3. Ah yeah basically if you install the 2 dll's and no other files from presets the ENB generates default files, with a few effects turned on, the ticking of boxes happens in the GUI to switch on effects or switch them off, But anyhow it seems there's no way to resolve this as i have been in contact with Boris who also claims this is pretty weird but as far as he's concerned its a CPU bottleneck, as modding the dx11 engine takes a toll on the CPU he says.
  4. So i'm not really sure if this is even relevant at all anymore but, I did some testing on W7 just to make sure W10 wasn't f'ing me around or to check if there was a bad driver install but the results are exactly the same, But i did bother to check my system resource usage while i was testing on W7 and i noticed something that seems a little odd to me, Anyhow, I was monitoring my GPU Usage, Vram Usage, CPU Usage, CPU Temp and GPU Temp, While running with no enb files installed my CPU was hitting 50-51% usage full stop, which is basically the 4 cores it can access being fully utilized so nothing strange there, my gpu was running at 70-99% which is good as well (just in-case its not clear i was running with the framerate uncapped), The odd part starts when i introduce the ENB files, with just d3d11.dll and d3dcompiler_46.dll or w/e added and having it generate the default enblocal.ini/enbseries.ini files and enbseries folder and ALL effects turned off via ticking their boxes and making sure that "use effect" was ticked off as well, my cpu hit 36% usage at max and my gpu hit 49% at max, So armed with that knowledge there's a few things i can guess as to whats going on, Either ENB is seriously taxing my CPU causing it to bottleneck my GPU and causing these massive FPS drops, the ENB files for SSE are in the very early stages of being optimized, or there's some bad driver f*#@ery going on which i highly doubt as the W7 installation was fresh with brand new and updated drivers, What i'm gonna try to test next is to see if changing the cpu affinity in task manager works and or changing the priority of the executable. UPDATE: So i had a look at the CPU Priorities and Affinities with ENB files loaded which had basically no effect, Noticed that SSE is utilizing all 8 cores to about 40-50% each though so definitely not only using 4 cores, What i did notice however, After removing the ENB files was that CPU 0 through 2 so CPU 0/1/2 were showing a lot more usage about 20-35% increase in usage on those 3 cores, But alas no Affinity combination yielded any results, no drops nor any increases.
  5. Thing is what most people seem to not get is i'm not running an ENB Preset, i'm running base ENB with all effects turned off and "Use Effect" off and its making my fps tank to the low 40's in some areas down from 80-120 with no extra mods installed not even a weather mod nor a lightning mod. With a 1060 GPU, having drops to 40fps is normal. And a 500W power supply is fine, as long as it's not a generic brand with just 70% of accuracy, but one that has a decent amperage on the 12Volt rail. With your rig, you'll probably sit around the 400Watt mark in overall use when gaming wihout any overclocking going on. So general consensus is drops to 40 is to be expected, Well thats fine if its normal then, might as well have just stuck to oldrim as i left it because of the drops to 40 :p was hoping SSE wouldn't have that problem but i guess i was wrong lol
  6. My brother has an I7 7700 with an MSI GTX 1060 6gb Gaming X, with a corsair vs650 we're basically identical except for the CPU and the MOBO with DDR4 ram, And in other games we're getting generally the same performance apart from a few fps for the fact that his CPU/RAM is far stronger, we both run Witcher 3 100~ fps on ultra with vsync turned off.
  7. Thing is what most people seem to not get is i'm not running an ENB Preset, i'm running base ENB with all effects turned off and "Use Effect" off and its making my fps tank to the low 40's in some areas down from 80-120 with no extra mods installed not even a weather mod nor a lightning mod.
  8. Usually i would look at that, i know especially in cpu based games my cpu does bottleneck a bit and i'm pretty sure that's happening with SSE as i never see 99% gpu usage with vsync/frameratelock off, but so far i've had no issues with my GPU running full power, hit 99% usage in The Witcher 3 with vsync off for hours on end with no issues at all, so i'm fairly sure my gpu isn't starved for more power,
  9. Problem is in some areas i experience less than 50 fps with ENB binaries added where as i was getting almost 100 fps without the binaries. And I said that SSE has a 60fps cap due to engine limitations. So, how did you go over 60fps in the first place? I'm on an MSI RX470 GamingX 8GB and while mostly getting 60fps, I also have drops to 40-50fps in certain areas. 345 mods, 222 plug-ins, 1080p in ultra, NVT-NAT ENB Preset in its Highest Quality setting with the 0.325 binaries from 28 December and umpteen texture mods in 2 and 4k. The frame cap has nothing to do with my problem at all, But you can disable it by, setting bLockFramerate=0 in Skyrim.ini and iVSyncPresentInterval=0 in SkyrimPrefs.ini, Note that i'm not actually playing with the framerate cap off i only switched it off to try and figure out why my SSE was running fine at 60fps with no drops at all and then adding the ENB binaries caused it to drop to 40fps in most areas, and that is when i found out only adding the dll's to the game cut the framerate in half basically which imo shouldn't be happening, a 20 fps drop is what i expected not 40-50 fps drop, I'm running 0 graphical mods except the enb itself and already i'm struggling to maintain 50 fps in some areas, if i start adding 2-4k textures with weather mods and a bunch of other crap i have no doubt thats gonna fall to 30 fps. Problem is back on Oldrim, with an ENB and my old GTX 650 Ti, i was getting 50 fps stable with 2k textures and bunch of graphical mods but that was a low ass setup so i expected that, but now i'm running a better cpu and a way better gpu and i can't even hit 50 fps in SSE with simply the ENB dll's added, Now if i added an ENB and it cost me half my fps i wouldn't have an issue but adding ENB settings on top of the ENB binaries cost me another 10-20 fps, making the ENB cost me about 60~ fps in general.
  10. Problem is in some areas i experience less than 50 fps with ENB binaries added where as i was getting almost 100 fps without the binaries.
  11. Hey guys, so i'm not exactly sure whats going on here but i'll try to be as thorough in explaining my problem as i can, Basically whenever i add the ENB Binaries to SSE just the d3dcompiler_46e.dll and d3d11.dll without any ENB settings/files, i get hit with a major fps drop 40-50 fps in some areas it even cuts my fps in half from around 140 to 70, i've tried both .320 binaries and .325 binaries and they both have the exact same issue, Now i'm not gonna post a modlist mainly because i'm only running 6 things atm, USSEP, SKSE, SkyUI, SSE Fixes, DLL Plugin Loader, and Alternate Start, other than that its base SSE with default ultra ini's, So anyways to go into more detail, the problem is especially prevalent in areas where there are fps drops with base SSE, I've mostly only benchmarked Solitude, so anyhow to give you an idea, i started a new game with alternate start joining the imperial legion, my test areas are, looking in the direction of the blue palace after exiting castle dour, the small tunnel which leads to beirand this tunnel usually gives me a 20 fps drop even with base SSE, looking in the direction of the blue palace from the solitude gate while in solitude which usually drops me about 40~ fps, looking down the road directly after exiting solitude and not movie, and then finally just overlooking the mill from where the khajiit caravan usually sits, Looking at the Blue Palace after exiting castle dour - Base : 120 FPS avg, Looking at the Blue Palace after exiting castle dour - ENB Binaries : 88 FPS avg, Standing at the exit of the small tunnel looking at Bits n Pieces - Base : 105 FPS avg, Standing at the exit of the small tunnel looking at Bits n Pieces - ENB Binaries : 60 FPS avg, Standing at the solitude gates looking in the direction of the blue palace - Base : 85 FPS avg, Standing at the solitude gates looking in the direction of the blue palace - ENB Binaries : 49 FPS avg, Looking down the road after exiting solitude - Base : 85 FPS avg, Looking down the road after exiting solitude - ENB Binaries : 45 FPS avg, Looking over the mill from the caravan - Base : 104 FPS avg, Looking over the mill from the caravan - ENB Binaries : 56 FPS avg, So i'm not exactly an expert but i don't those drops are... normal, i'll make an Imgur album with screenshots later on, but for now on to my specs, Galax GTX 1060 6gb EXOC AMD-FX8300 @ 4.2ghz Kingston ValueRam 2x8gb @ 1600mhz MSI 970A-G43 Plus mobo Corsair vs550 PSU 1tb HDD Samsung S19f350 19 Inch Monitor @ 1366x768 res, i'm currently planning on downloading w7 and seeing if the problem persists on it, because from what i've read people say Boris ain't supporting w10 with the enbs so i'm wondering if there is any issues there, other than that i have no idea what to do next, as my mod list is basically non existent and my ini's are default, mainly just wondering if anyone else has experienced an issue like this and managed to fix it. TL:DR Experiencing major FPS loss from simply adding the ENB binaries to my SSE. EDIT: Imgur album : https://imgur.com/a/2ueBT
  12. Sorry for necro'ing this, But tell your GF some random stranger from the internet says thanks cause all my issues just got solved by uninstalling Helmet Toggle as well.
