Sorry, Fixed. I had to re-install SkyUI.
-
I am using Perkus Maximus, and have run down all the usual culprits for a possible problem.
In game the weapons are listed as having 0 damage, but in tes-edit, the weapons do have their appropriate values in the patcher.
I am no so sure its an issue with the patcher, but it never hurts to check.
Maybe a SKYUI issue ?
Can AddItem menus cause this issue ?

I've been trying to make my own NPC replacer mod, which I wanted to be an extension of the "Ordinary Women" mod, touching up those women he didn't cover in that mod. But I am having an issue with the creation kit, the changes I am making with the NPC editor for te cosmetic options, such as lips Especially. The changes are not taking place, and I mean the tint changes to the lip layer. I am not seeing a change with the cheek layer for blush.
-
Yeah, i know how to do that with Tes5Edit. But honestly, I don't want to do that either..

I have GT 420, which i know is pretty sup-bar especially for SMIM. I've got the optimizer textures, and Hialgo boost. And I've developed qjuite a list of performance mods from the Nexus. That isn't much of an issue I suppose ,its more some of the game system mods that work well together ?
I suppose I am also wondering what is a good order to put mods into:
Game Graphics First
Game Patches Next
System Mods
and then patches for the mods. ?
-
Are there any modding guides to set up a decent skyrim game for a low performance computer ?
I only ask, cause I've been trying to produce a playable and stable game for 3 years maybe, and just so tired of it.

Okay in my Creation Kit, the file Header is there, but there is no information being listed. How do I turn that function on so i can turn them into ESMs ?
-
An interesting idea. but you wouldn't need any scripts. A model yeah, but then be just easy enough to add the said item to the creatures leveled list. Then you can throw in some recipes so you can turn the item into linen!

Thanks NexBeth

This ends up happening on some of the females in my game. Usually the "new" ones added by mods (that still use vanilla assets), or the replacers I have been working on.
-
I've seen people do this, and I've tried to explore the net to find an answer. How can i move the actor in the preview window while in edit mode. Its really frustrating not being able to get the right angle i need so i can properly edit the npcs .
-
On a side note, removing the replacer did seem to fix most of the conflicts. however the female npcs all have a strangely colored forehead now. In the past I understood that might be an issue with the textures of the brows or something ...
-
Alright so.. I have two follower mods, which i think use vanilla assets. Its the only reason why i think this happens. Cause I am using a texture replacer for both men and women. SG 2k Textures, and Vitruvia for male textures. I also have to wonder if Shivas Hair Replacer mod, can cause the issue as well.
Now I did some drugging up and I found this quote about it.
"Not sure if you've found a solution here but the grey face bug gave me many a sleepless nights until one day i actually caught hold of one of the most famous modders out there and asked him to help me in real time, he did and ive now found a definitive way to eradicate the dreaded gray face bug within my game. You'll normally encounter this glitch if facetints fail to load as intended or IF they are sometimes misdirected in the mesh (.nif) file. They need to point to the right .dds file else no matter what you do the error will persist. Yes it is best to make your own ESP and once Creation Kit exports facegen data you can either replace those .nif and .dds files with a face you sculpted using racemenu or just make basic changes through CK if that suffices. It's actually even more profound than that, because if faceparts like "FemaleHeadNord3", "HairFemaleNord04" differ from what is originally set in CK (this happens when sculpting faces ingame for a more comprehensive overhaul) Facetints will not load and you will continue to stare at ugly grey faces. I did the CK CTRL + F4 thing by the book, didn't help me until i understood the actual mechanic, i still dont understand it comprehensively but with this modder's help i am now literally overhauling every female NPC in Skyrim and it's going great."
And of course I have a link to the Creation Kit references: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Dark_Face_Bug as well.
I'm tired of dealing with the grey face bug really. And I have done the ctrl f4 stuff.. so is there a way to link the created assets to the npcs in question? Or what would be the way to fix this once and for all? Would I need to set "skin textures" to the mods in question to fix this ?. Does this mean i need a program that lets me play with the nif and dds files of said follower ? And ive probably allready messed up mysave by doing the "Setnpcweight to 50" trick..

Okay, so here's what I got so far. In Ascending order (so from lowest background to highest) I am purposefully trying to stay away from a +15 bonus, because essentially this could allow a stat above 25 to 30 depending on the race.
STREET RAT/ORPHAN (+5 sneak, lock pick, and pick pocket)
BRIGAND (+10 Two Handed, +5 Light Armor) Free Great Sword
HUNTER (+5 Sneak, +10 Marksmanship) Free Bow and 12 arrows
LABOURER (+5 One and Two Handed) Free Club
SKALD (+10 Speech-craft, +5 Light Armor, +5 One Handed) Free Instrument
ALCHEMIST (+10 Alchemy) Two Free healing potions
CRAFTSMAN (+10 Smithing) Free Woodsman Axe
MERCHANT (+10 speech-craft) +300 septims
MILITIA (+10 Block, +5 One Handed, +5 Heavy Armor) Free Iron Sword and Shield
PRIEST (+10 Restoration) Free Amulet of the Divines and Robes
ACADEMIC (+10 Alteration, +10 Destruction) Free Scrolls
ARISTOCRACY (+10 Speech-craft, +10 One handed) +600 septims , Free Steel Sword ,

So I got some inspiration recently, so wanted to expand on the subject since it's been a while.
General Guideline would be to let a background give 15 free points to develope your background.
Sample Backgrounds:
Peasant/Farmer/Laborer (+5 Smithing, Lock pick , and Pickpocket) Free Iron Dagger or Club
Entertainer (+10 speechcraft, +5 smithing) Free Instrument
Hunter/Rural (+7 Sneak, +7 marksmanship) Free Bow and 12 iron arrows.
Brigand/Outlaw (+7 two handed, +8 light armor) Free Iron Great Sword
Craftsman (+10 smith, +5 speechcraft) Free Woodsman Axe
Merchant Class (+15 speechcraft) + 300 spetims
Militant Class (+5 One handed, Block, Heavy Armor) Free Iron Sword, Iron Armor
Mage Class (+8 Alteration, +7 Destruction) Two Free Scrolls, Two Free Magicka Poitions
Priest Class (+10 Restoration, +5 Illusion ) Two Free healing Potions ?
Artistocrat (+10 speech, +5 one handed) +600 septims, Free Steel Sword

Never been able to get that to work correctly. I'm guessing because of the heavy script use.

I want to make my one character, sensuali into a follower/companion. I have attempted three times to make my own custom followers, with skins and hair and such. And Just failed, and yes I followed tutorials as well.
So I'm hoping maybe someone would be willing to help me turn her into a cool follower. If Interested, I can provide more character information and data on request. Thanks ahead of time. <3

Hey there folks. I've had this issue with my Unique Artifacts mod, where I get a text saying I am out of charges, even after using it once. I have looked at this issue for a long time, and was never able to figure out what was wrong with the enchantments. Having compared the Magic Effects to those used on other magic items. Was hoping you guys could help me figure out what I did wrong with it. Specifically my Antique Weapons enchantment. or my Blessed Iron Mace (from my priestly things mod).
-
I could seriously use some help I don't know if there's a thread about his or not yet. I have a low -end graphics card (Nvidia GT 420 I believe). But I want to make my skyrim experience as good as I can. And I doubt the STEP guide would work for my PC. What kind of Mods, would fit the "Vanilla" experience or at least enhance it enough to be enjoyable. I have fought with mods for over 4-5 years with little success at a stable game.
-
I want to take all my mods that I have made, and just turn them into one big "overhaul" not just for simplicity, but to cut down on my load order. Would I over-ride everything into a new mod, then transfer all meshes, textures, and the like ?
-
Okay.. though what you guys are saying is going over my head. How do I "do" what you suggest? Cause I've made quite a few patches in the past, and now I wonder if I even did them right.
-
Yes I did. I made the patch first in Tes5Edit. And added the masters that way.
-
I have tried three times to make a patch for two mods (harvest overhaul creations & my mod Magic of Food & Drink). But after adding the masters through WryeBash and Tes5Edit, once I finish making the changes into the creation kit and save. The masters drop, and all my work is removed.

I thought about encorporating that into the system. Would be a nice addition to say, especially Requiem.

Some weapons are still being listed with a 0 damage rating. ~_~
