  1. So, I had discovered that apparently some creatures in the game have a death animation that I was not made aware about until I had saw some video on them. I had decided to trigger them in-game, but after testing a numerous times, the animations did not occur, so what I had done was install a mod that would actually make the animations more than likely to happen (but also making them not necessarily instant kill [Mod in question: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/46067?tab=posts&BH=0]). But after running the game again, the animations still failed to trigger. So, what this has to do with my question was that according to the author of the mod in the post, apparently there is a bug in the game that actually prevents the creatures from carrying out the death animations and I suspect that the author is actually right on that, as MO2 failed to detect any conflicting mods. Bottom line: has anyone else have any experience of not having death sequences actually triggering? It seemed to work fine with the deathclaw and (not really instant death) bloodbug, but all other monsters did not at all trigger their sequences. I do not run any mods that add any new animations or prohibit any.
  2. Yeah, you're right, I'll walk to the nearest starbucks and tell them I need the cash and job to pay for an high powered luxury as well as a game. I'm sure the employer's willing to fork over an apron because that's a new reason to wanting a job nowadays right? Besides the point, how do I know this company (and all others suggested) I've never heard of is even reliable or even true? You can say it's made out of entirely out of gold but that wouldn't prove anything, or even if that the parts were handcrafted with painstaking work by a man, not machine. Believe me, I have had a guy who made his own computers with the highest quality parts and know what happened? The thing caught on fire. Don't explain to me that it was because it was shoddily made, because he too had an experience in building computers and worked a profit in building computers. If you ask me, it really sounds like you guys are working as representatives for these companies and advertising them, same way that Dell or HP is doing, and are really trying to get a hold of some customers by suggesting one over the other. I don't believe in running the game by beauty standards, where it must be like an artwork, I believe in running it in practical standards in one can at least enjoy it without having the headache of being unable to afford a unnecessary luxury. Haven't you ever heard of gameplay, not graphics? But you're right, everyone in the world who wants to or dream of playing Skyrim at home should get something in the 2000-5000 dollar range and get it especially from these unknown companies where their reputation is unheard of until now. All in all, I'm only hearing at this point is mainly sales pitches. I think I'm better off with this crippled laptop I'm using than one with bells and whistles. I can care less now about any games for that matter. Back to playing DOS games.
  3. I changed my mind, I don't want to worry about cooling down my laptop, but I do want it to at least run Skyrim (I'll deal with cooling it down later), as it seems to be a factor in deciding this predicament :I I really appreciate you guys giving me some laptop brands worth checking, but I think I'll stick with my original question. Can and will these HP laptops' specs run Skyrim? A simple yes or no will work. I don't think recommending me brands really will help me out here, as I've done research and a lot of brands use terrible cards or are too expensive (remember, I'm a student! I don't have a job!
  4. That's a little bluntly put :P but yeah I suppose you do make a point when HP's quality isn't that great; I did own a HP desktop and it malfunctioned after a while, in which the computer literally restarts by itself because the circuits "overloaded". After all, money does matter when it comes to quality. But I've heard toshiba's got some mixed reviews too; some said that their laptops' disk drives fail to open or their functions of some parts don't work. Not to mention, you can't even pick graphics card; I just took a look at customizing and the only option was "AMD or Intel integrated graphics card", which according to the requirements in UESP, it won't even work Oblivion; the highest graphics card they have won't even work Skyrim beyond Medium-Low. Don't get me wrong, Toshiba's laptops are better and it'd be great, but I've yet to decide.
  5. I don't think so; SSD wasn't really an option available (if it was, I probably didn't notice it). Will this be a problem? So the bottom line is that these exact specs will or could run skyrim (correct me if I am wrong)? And do you guys suggest that I get 8 gb ram with a 2GB AMD Radeon™ HD 7670M Discrete-Class Graphics? Fair enough. Xaltar, let us assume that the laptop does not use the GFX card, could it be a problem when running the game? I've seen some youtube videos where they use the same graphics card and it looked like exactly it would if you played skyrim on the consoles (I think). Also thanks for the advice, I'll keep it in mind. Also, just out of curiosity, what would happen if I didn't get a quad core processor but a dual core instead? Would it hinder the gameplay (obviously the answer would be yes?)?
  6. Ok everyone, I know it is really getting old of people posting up this FAQ on these forums but I really need some help picking out a laptop. Recently, my old laptop has been getting some problems and needs to be replaced with a new one. I am planning on getting an HP ENVY dv6z-7200 series or a G6 pavillion, due to their nice budget range (I'm choosing between the two). Anyways, the two are permitting customization and I am planning on parts that will run skyrim, and based on how much I am paying, other games like far cry 3. Here the specs of my "dream laptop" (lol): Windows 8 operating system Processor: AMD Quad-Core A8-4500M (3.0GHz/2.1GHz, 4MB L2 Cache) Graphics card: 1GB AMD Radeon HD 7670M Discrete-Class Graphics 640GB 5400RPM Hard Drive Will these specs run Skyrim like it should? Now as for few questions: 1. I noticed that the graphics card allows me to pick between 1gb or 2gb of the same model card, but does it matter when running Skyrim? 2. For memory, I recall the recommended requirements said 4gb ram; should I choose: 6GB 1600MHz DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm) or 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)? Another concern that has risen is that I have heard many people saying that running Skyrim on some laptops will heat up the system. It's no mystery that this game would turn a laptop into a mobile microwave in mere seconds. Do you guys have any suggestions on countering this heating problem? I was considering on attaching a fan next to the laptop's vent (?) but I'm at a loss. In my last laptop, all I did was elevate it to allow airflow. For the record, if it does come up, I need a laptop, not a desktop; I'm a student and I commute to classes.
  7. Ok, I'm sure there are people out there who are DYING for this to be made and I'm hoping people won't scold me for this, but I've been wondering about it for a while and if people will do it; is there someone out there who is experienced in making npcs or anything related to Garry's mod that is willing to make a Adoring fan NPC from Oblivion? I've been shooting up Adoring fan with arrows, spells, and slashed his sorry @ss so many times that I want to step it up and fill him up with bullets and rockets!
  8. I have not installed any companion mods. In fact, almost every mod I downloaded doesn't even have anything to do with Adoring fan, other than this one torture mod: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25340, which I contacted the author of (who also claims this replacement is very strange). Also, I just did a refscope check right now, and it's even more bizarre. According to the results, this nuiscance is from "Oblivion.esm". I'm extremely doubtful that's true because before even installing any mods, it was just Adoring Fan. I seriously hope that this moron isn't the sign of a hack or something much more serious. I even disabled Oblivion.esm, and this came back. Also, here's the list of mods I downloaded: -Deadly Reflex V. 5.0 -Midas Spells -Curse of Hircine -Eru's Crowbar -Slayer's Arrow Improvement -vagabond's Katana -Torture Chamber Home -Mongolian Horseman's bow -Imperial City Apartment -IC Palace in the sky -Form ID Finder -REF Scope Here's pics of the results if people still sees this topic as a joke: http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad21/Pr...15-18-55-66.jpg http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad21/Pr...15-18-52-03.jpg

  10. http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad21/Pr...20-37-24-96.jpg http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad21/Pr...20-37-27-46.jpg http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/ad21/Pr...20-37-29-72.jpg Is this good enough or is this still not convincing? Because I'll even put up a video if my statement is met with cynicism.
  11. Ok, so Installed a several mods for oblivion. So it's really great for me and all. However, one thing that still bothers me is the fact that Adoring fan, the yellow haired nuiscance, has been replaced with a bosmer named "Previa Montisceiu". I honestly don't want this companion, considering that I can't even kill him. Did anyone have this mod or does anyone know who this mod belongs to?
