  1. Turns out there is actually a separate mesh as well. What you see in-game is the male version of the armor for both genders. There is no biped model for the female version though.
  2. I'm working on a mod based on Dwarven armor and I extracted the Dwarven Cuirass meshes from Meshes.bsa as well as their respective textures from Textures.bsa. 2 versions for each: male and female. Now the meshes themselves were all fine, I linked the male meshes to their textures. But when I tried applying the female textures to the female meshes it was clear that they were not meant to be used together (UV maps were completely screwed). The male textures however fit the female meshes perfectly. So are the female Dwarven Cuirass textures unused in the game? Are there any known mods that fix the UV maps so that they can be used?
  3. At first it may seem great, but then you realise you are basically adopting an old lady. She is pretty much the oldest member of the Dark Brotherhood. It would make just as much sense if she decided to adopt you.
  4. This is now my favorite Dawnguard mod. Thank you :D A minor detail, maybe it would be more appropriate to use a snow elf chest. There is a special design added in the DLC: http://images.uesp.net/f/f1/SR-icon-cont-Snow_Elf_Chest.png
  5. Bloodcursed arrows are cursed (the tip is dipped in vampire blood, Serana can do them for you) for a reason: blocking out the sun. The bow does not have a bloodcursed counterpart. Only the arrows do.
  6. From "Racial Phylogeny". The Chief gets to mate with every female in the Stronghold. So, one reason non-orcs might not be able to join. Anyways, you could just skip this whole mating part. It wouldn't be very lore friendly though.
  7. Can't wait for this mod! This will fit perfectly with my current character. Though seeing the beautiful sheath sort of makes me want to play with it still on the sword. It looks a bit like a golden ancient nord sword.
  8. That's exactly what I wanted. Thank you :D I'll credit you when I publish the mod. Might add an armor with the same effect too.
  9. Hmm, are you sure it worked? I downloaded it, moved all the .dds files (and changed the nifskope settings) and the only thing that changed is that the black parts of the glow map are now transparent in nifskope. The white lines are still just flickering. Thank you very much for looking into it anyways. Also, I had already made the .esp, and tested it in Skyrim. In the game, right now, the glow map simply doesn't show up at all. Could it be another missing flag?
  10. Tried everything, and it refuses to work. I'll upload the file in case someone wants to see it. If not, I may just keep the glowing circles in the texture itself and publish the mod. By the way, in my first post, I said it's a bow. It's actually a crossbow but I don't think it really matters. Also, the glow map is a placeholder, and the orange circles are part of the texture. link
  11. I read it, it didn't really help since none of the images load. Thanks, I tried changing those, but it didn't really work. Might be because I'm trying to use BSEffectShaderProperty, not BSLightingShaderProperty.
  12. This is pretty much my first time with NifSkope and I'm having a problem. I reskinned a bow based on the style of the Dwarven Black Bow of Fate. I am currently trying to apply a glow effect to it using BSEffectShaderProperty. It's not working, and I can't quite tell what I am doing wrong. I manually created branches based on the way they appear on the Dwarven Black Bow (which also has an orange glow effect). Instead of being used as it should, the glow map is simply being used as a texture (overlaid on the old texture), so whenever I move the camera it starts flickering. The UV maps are right, the animation seems OK. I can upload the file here if needed.
  13. There is one such armor that is part of the Immersive Armors pack. Here is a link to a video.
  14. One similar guild that already exists in the game lore is the Glenmoril Wyrd. It is a guild of Hags and Hagravens that has strong ties to Hircine (and presumably other Daedric Princes as well). They are part of the Companions quest that requires you to cure Kodlak of lycanthrophy (since the only way of curing it is with the hagravens' heads). Most of the backstory is already created actually. Joining the Guild may have benefits, such as allying with Hagravens, new spells (maybe even transforming into a raven, like the witches) being cured of/contacting Lycanthrophy/Vampirism for free, training etc. This faction also has a presence on Solstheim.
