Thank you very much for your quick response. Your suggestion worked perfectly, I'm still stumped why either my browser or AV would change the downloaded file from .exe to .240 extension I've never had that happen before. Again many thanks for getting me through this! :-)

Hello all, just getting into the modding scene and I am a little lost. I click on download the latest version of Vortex... it downloads the file but not in an .exe file, rather it's an .240 extension file. I click on it and asks which program to open file with, none are present to be chosen, so I click on search Internet to search for program to open and comes up no site can be found. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, has anyone else encountered this issue. OS: Win 7 Thank you for taking the time to read this.
