  1. For some reason, DxTORY doesn't want to work in Skyrim. I've heard of others getting CTDs when DxTORY is on for them, but for me, the little FPS counter doesn't even show, and pressing my start recording key doesn't record. I don't why it does this, as FRAPS works. The reason I don't want to use FRAPS is because I have yet to find a way to make FRAPS use the x264 codec, and I don't want 60 GB of raw files for my lets plays. DxTORY works in all my other games, and I've heard that this may be caused by some graphical mods, of which I have all the ones that I've heard being an issue. I use Skyrim Project Optimization, HiAlgo Boost, ENB (RealVIsion), ENBoost, and SKSE. But there has to be a way for it to work, as I've heard that Gopher used to use DxTORY, and he most likely had these mods. Can anyone either help with DxTORY or changing FRAPS' codec? Thanks in advance!
  2. Pretty much every save I've done has crashed and has enocuntered constant crashes at one point, and I don't know why. I do use a lot of mods, but I have every comaptibility patch, and I'm below the 256 esp and esm limit. TESVEdit doesn't encounter any problems when I load all my plugins in it, and this is getting really annoying. On two savegames now, they crashed after a solid ten hours or so of relatively stable gameplay, as in crashes now and then, but recoverable from. Now I'm getting constant crashes everywhere, and it's annoying. The first savegame died at Windhelm, and kept crashing after that. The second started crashing after I added some graphics mods. I backed up my saves before I did this in case, and I was right to do so, as the mods crashed my game. So I took away all the mods I added and went back to the old saves but I still get crashes. Why is this happening?
  3. So I made a zip file containing three zips and a readme, one with some reference stuff, one with my modorganizer and all its mods, and the other being my actual skyrim folder. (minus the skyrime launcher.exe and tesv.exe) so if my friend used those, overwrote his skyrim folder with mine, and changed the file locations in MO's settings, could he just start playing as I do?
  4. I think i figure it out, and I started a rainstorm through helgen to test and it worked. earlier I merged the esps for supreme storms and fogs (i was wrong about it being real rain) and used the merged esp. however the merged esp was counted as a separate mod by MO, and didn't have the textures from supreme storms. so i just enabled supreme storms (which only had the textures as the esps were removed during merging) and used fw c8220 in console to force a rainstorm and voila! so it was me forgetting about merging. thanks for all the suggestions though!
  5. oh noes its back. I don't know why either, I turned off real rain, and the only other thing i can think of is supreme storms. But I'm not sure. If it's missing textures in a mod, not my skyrim, as I use mod organizer. This is my load order can anyone help? Active Mod Files:
  6. Exactly as the name. I've been experience a bunch of horizontal lines that get really annoying whenever I move fast, so pretty much every fight. I could learn to live with it, but I'd rather not. I checked the Skyrim launcher and I couldn't find VSync, and I'm guessing this has to do with my ENB anyway. So where would I go to enable VSync? (if it's relevant, I use RealVision ENB) Thanks in advance!
  7. Idk. They seem to work now, at least in riften. Though I miss the effects of real rain. I guess a stable working game is better than one that looks good and crashes, right?
  8. I'm using a few weather mods, CoT, supreme storms and fog, splash of rain, and not now, but I used to use Real Rain. I thought the issue was real rain but its still happening. Here's what it looks like, and I have no idea why. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/452906033030106784/BB1F64FE1628311C2FB933EE7F4C69B50D9CFACC/
  9. I think I have an idea. It may be that all my graphical overhaul mods are overloading Skyrim near Whiterun since it is such a vast expanse that is being loaded. Tomorrow after school I'll make a MO Profile with all my mods except for the visual improvement ones and I'll update the thread.
  10. Sigh. I have already tested them, at least to the point I can tolerate. That means I would add one mod at a time and load Skyrim and see if the menu came up. The crashes happen about 30 minutes into every save game I use with that MO Profile. (And not with any other profile, which is how I am 100% sure it's mod related, in response to Arimikami) Now, I have 241 esms and esps. (Yes, a lot of mods) Even not counting the official esms, that's still 236. And if I were to test each esp with a 30 min game, that would take 7,230 minutes. Or 120.5 hours. And since I have a total of 20 hours of free time a week roughly, that means for me to test every single mod completely, it would take about 6 weeks. In response to Dominoes, I do use BOSS and I have already done everything it has told me, such as cleaning all the ITMs and UDRs from every file that had them. TES5Edit also doesn't find any errors, and I have used it to merge any esps that the list found here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=1033740 said I could. Today I tried to fix it by starting a new MO Profile with less mods, which again started crashing near the vicinity of Whiterun. I thought that maybe my ENB and graphics settings were too much for the game, so I turned all my fades to 50%, and turned everything I saw at high for ENB to medium. It had no effect whatsoever, not even an extra second before crashing. So I'm still at a loss for what is happening. And finally, TLymond, can you please stop speaking for the entire website with your "It was your "Nobody's helping meeeeeeee!!!" wail. It started with the Topic Title, and continued right through to the last line of the main body of the post. It was as if you felt you were entitled to personal hand-holding and nose-wiping, and the Nexus Community was being an unfit parent for not providing it." I commend you for your use of metaphors, but this is not English class. I never implied such a thing, I was saying it as it was. That no one had helped up till now and that I was frustrated that my game would not work. And you said that it started with the topic title, but I'm sure if you ask anyone else, "Can someone please help me?" is not the whining wail of someone who wants others to mod their game for them. It's a plea for help from someone who has spent a lot of time trying to fix it on their own, and when asked for help received none. You have less than 20 posts, yet every other person who replied had at the very least 100 posts and were all very polite. As rhowington said, if you're not going to be nice please don't reply.
  11. I do know it's a mod. Which is why I posted the load order. I'm not trying to sound like an ass, I'm just really frustrated right now and your tone didn't help. I have done literally everything that googling came up with, including running it vanilla as you suggested. I use Mod Organizer and I have a profile that uses only a very few select graphics mods, and that profile works like a charm. It's just this one, with all my mods, which have no big conflicts, as they have been reprocced, bash patched, and whatever I could I merged. There is absolutely no reason, as far as I know, that it should not work, which is why I posted the logs for the game and SKSE, as well as my load order and what Skyrim Performance Monitor recorded just before a crash. These crashes have taken two save files already, a wasted 5 hours of gameplay, and I'm pretty sure it's going to do it to this one too, which is why I want to fix this problem before I run into it again.
  12. TES5Edit never stops and says that there is an error, at least not for a long time, as I checked that early on during the modding. I also don't use Open Cities nor Claralux. This is why I'm so frustrated, because there is no reason why Skyrim shouldn't work. It just simply refuses to! Also, here is a screenshot of skyrim performance monitor up till my latest crash: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6oabnm97s7lhcbz/11-2-13.jpeg
  13. I've made multiple threads asking for help that have been up for a while, yet no one even replies with a link to a tutorial or similar post, forcing me to have to painstakingly hunt down every single lead to fixing my CTDs. I have absolutely no clue why it's happening. I have a great rig, and my mods play nice together, and I've gotten in about 45 minutes of gameplay, which had one crash, and now it crashes every single time. The details are this: So I used the Live Another Life mod, and chose to be a new recruit of the dark brotherhood. I grabbed everything from them and started a few quests, and then I went to Falkreath. So far no issues. After discovering everything there since I have cartographers map markers, I fast traveled to the Dragon Stones, which is part of one of my mods, near Riverwood. It was raining heavily and I didn't want to get struck by lightning so I went into the inn, grabbed a follower, and then saved and exited. So far so good. When I came back, I got my follower using the armor I wanted him to, and then I left the inn. I noticed that the rug to exit was glitching, but I ignored it. I opened the door and the game crashed. I reloaded and opened the door again and it worked. So I pressed on, fought a wolf, saved, and got to the part where the Companions fight the giant, who was now huge due to the actual giants mod I have. Then the game crashed. I loaded back to the part right after the wolf, and now there was a fight between a werewolf and a flame and storm atronarchs. I fought them, saved, and pressed on back to the giant. Another crash. I thought maybe the giant was causing the issue, so I went around him when I reloaded, without even looking at him. I then got close to Whiterun, and another crash. And every subsequent load has had quicker and quicker crashes. I don't why. I don't understand how to interpret Papyrus logs and no one has helped me yet.
