Any way to prevent Shadowmere from fast-travelling ?

Thank you, Lachdonin :smile: Didn't know about the radius thing. Interesting option. Would there be a way, via TESEdit, creation kit or console, to reduce & save for good Shadowmere's radius to a couple of feet ? -
Hihoo :-) All in the title ... I want to keep Shadowmere, but want to avoid her/him to fast-travel with me when I'm not mounting her/him. Any way to achieve this ? Mod ? Script ? Console code ? Searched but couldn't find anything yet. Thankies ;-) Remcoz

Bump ? Problem gets bigger : Dawnguard disappeared now !!! DLC + UODP are listed & active in launcher . Questlog that showed "Speak to the leader of the DG" after 1st vampire attack is gone . Castle DG still on the map (hadn't been there yet) . So I go there , but just empty land . The only DG quests I've done were : -speaking to the vampirehunter that triggered the above "Speak to..." -Lost to the Ages . I'm around 450 hours of gameplay , 131 quests , 240 misc.objectives . So , "Join Imperials" gone . "Dawnguard" gone . Questlog shows my eldest quest "The break of Dawn" (daedric) which was more or less my 25th/30th quest . By the Nine Divines , what happened to the 24 first quests ??? Please , any help/suggestion/tip would greatly be appreciated :sad: Remcoz PS : still multiple auto-logouts while posting , mod's ? :blush:

Depends ... In Windhelm , my PC runs @ lower temperatures than in Riften . :dance: :facepalm: Ok , I get out :whistling: -
Hihoo :smile: A quest has disappeared :ohmy: So basically , I'm on the MQ on my way to Skuldafn with Odahviing . In my misc. questlog , I still have these 4 unstarted (I keep these for after MQ): - Join Stormcloaks rebellion - Talk to Aventus Arentino - Join Imperial legion - Talk to Companions for work (only radiant quests left ... I'm leader) As soon as I fly of & land in Skuldafn , the "Join Imperial" is gone from my journal . The 3 other remain . So tested a couple of things : loaded a save from Dragonreach balcony , just before the take-off (with the 4 quests in journal) 1- fast-travel to Whiterun stables ... Poof , "Join Imperials" is gone . 2- walk out by foot of Dragonreach , walk out of Whiterun and wander a bit in the countryside ... and get attacked by Imperials (why that?)... and the journal entry is gone again . 3- tested to join Imperials : works ... Tested to join Stormcloaks : works Only things I can think of : I have no bounty anywhere , but I visited Riften & Markath after Season unending , and had basic dialogue with the new "staff-in-charge" . Apparently , from what Arngeir says in his dialogues , General Tullius is the one that seems unhappy with the Season's Unending outcome . Markath to the Stormcloaks & Riften to the imperials is what happened . Anyone experienced this ? Thanks, Remcoz PS : To site-admins : Is there a auto-logout active or what ? I'm logged in , writing or replying to a post , and when I click "Post reply", I systematically get the "you are not logged in" message . So I relogin , but am redirected to homepage . Post lost , retyping everything , copying the whole text this time before clicking "post" . "not logged in" , so relog , re-directed Homepage , re-create new topic in appropriate sub-forum . Paste the previously copied text (quick-quick-quick) . Halelujah . Works ! So I need to type my text offline & copy/paste ? Seriously , this really annoying ! ( I don't mean to be rude :) ) Can this be disabled , please ?

Thanks MasterAub . Indeed , good to be back . :thumbsup: I'll look into those mod's , and mostly the ENBoost ... For fun , I restored (from a disk-image) my Oblivion folder from 3 years ago (With the 1st "messy-loose-files" textures) ... Ouch !!! The lag & stutter is tough . Skyrim with PostFXinjector runs a 3x higher FPS than Oblivion , which runs under 10 FPS . Oh , forgot ... I see I have apparently OBSE installed (for horse command mod) So I hope that the fresh re-install , with redimed textures will make it a bit more ... playable :rolleyes: Isn't there also a 4gb patch for Oblivion , bypassing the 2gb ram limit ?

Hihoo :smile: Decided to replay Oblivion ... after 3 1/2 year break . I used mainly Official DLC's , all their respective UOP's . Only other mod's were eye-candy (Body) & UI (Darnified) Also replaced lots of textures (mostly loose files & meshes back then) , and in the end tried the Unique landscapes omod's (around v 1.6 or 1.7) . No overhaul-quest mod's . I'll re-install from scratch . Vanilla + DLC's + UOP's up-to-date ofc :wink: What would you recommend , nowadays ... for : - UI ? (I loved DarnifiedUI) - Eye-candy mod's (textures - body - face - Unique Landscapes etc... ) ? - Bugfixes ? (other than UOP's) Are there any new ones in 2014 ? - Planning to go OMOD & BOSS . Is this still a valid option ? Thankies :wink:

Thanks :) Yep , I did that already (didn't mention it in my post ^^) But that fixes his voice mainly , no ? (Or does it also fix the whole script(s) related to him ?) He speaks fine (even if his narration about his dream is kinda ...spoporific :armscrossed: :laugh: ) and he gives (according to UESP) the correct dialogue when asking about the EScroll ... but quest doesn't update to (guess it's stage 50) "Speak to Esbern" complete . Since it's optional , no big deal .

Hihoo :smile: So for 3 years, I did the Companions , TG , College , Bard , Daedric . Divine & most side quests . Still have Civil war (Imp. or Stormcloak) , Dark Brotherhood , Dawnguard & Dragonborn to do . The Main quest , which I left at "Dragon Rising" during all this time , I decided to go further with it . Now , I'm on "Elder knowledge" gathering info's @ College . I had a couple of unfixed bugs on MQ , starting with : - Esbern voice bug (A cornered rat) - Esbern door bug (A cornered rat) - Paathurnax's fire word not learnable (Throat of the world) - Esbern's Info/advice for Elder Scroll , (quest doesn't update after talking to him) The 3 first could be solved with UESP's setstage commands ... But the "(optional) Speak to Esbern" stays unticked , while I spoke to him and he pointed me out to the College . Having version 1.9.32.08 , only Official DLC's , all UOP's up to date (2.04) , I'm kinda puzzled that the MQ still has these unsolved bugs . I never had any of the UESP reported bugs on the other questlines (I guess I was lucky) . What else (I mean "Unfixed bugs") should I expect in the Main quest ? Thanks :smile:

Hihoo :-) I have some questions about cleaning Skyrim with TESVEdit ...Kinda new to it ^^ I cleaned my master files (Update.esm , Dawnguard.esm , HearthFires.esm , Dragonborn.esm) according to Gopher's Youtube tutorial . I cleaned also my own house mod Dolphyn_Estate.esp on the same principle (loading Skyrim.esm , Update.esm & Dolphyn_Estate.esp ... cleaning only Dolphyn_Estate.esp) . I also cleaned my saves with savetool . Game & saves load & run fine from what I can see . So far so good :-) What else should (or not) be cleaned ? UOP's ? HiRes DLC 's ? SkyUI? All of the esp's ? I'm 44 . First game on an old 486/DX/66 running MS-Dos ... Ultima Underworld I & II . That was one of the 1st first-person(subjective) RPG's ... made me addicted ;-) Remcoz

Boethiah's calling ... sacrifice while Werewolf ?

Ok , I gave it a try ... It seems to work well :dance: Equipped Hircine's ring just before telling my follower (Faendal) to activate the pillar . Then I transformed into WW before killing him . Dialog 1 with Boethiah & confronting the other cultists (still as WW) went fine ... Just re-transformed back to normal before killing the last cultist (had to run&hide to re-equip my gear though) . Dialog 2 with Boethiah all OK . I loot all the bodies , check my stats : 0 murder ! Yes ! Re-transform into WW & feed on all the corpses , increasing my perks , wait until reversing back to normal , drop my loot at home & now , on my to Knifepoint ridge :-) Can be useful for people wanting clean murder stat's ;-) Remcoz -
Hihoo :-) I read & grabbed by accident the book "Boethiah's Proving" & quest got activated . I'll have (according to UESP) to sacrifice some follower during this quest(kill by any means) , and it will count as murder . Since I haven't murdered anyone yet , (I don't plan to do Dark Brotherhood questline for the moment) but I'm Harbringer/werewolf , and have the ring of Hircine , I was wondering ... Is it possible to turn into a werewolf (there-->wolf ! ;-P) for the sacrifice and thus keeping my murder stats clean ? Or will this screw up dialogue-options if Boethiah talks to me while I'm WW . Advice anyone ? ;-) Thanks Remcoz

Dunno if this has to do with it , but quoted from UESP/Taking care of Business/bugs : If Talen-Jei dies before the quest is started, it may not start at all.This issue has been addressed by version 1.1 of the Official Skyrim Patch; Talen-Jei is made essential.Bersi Honey-Hand's prize urn can appear unbreakable. Winning a brawl against him instead advances the quest, or return later as the last person approached gives in without further intimidation. ?If one of the NPC merchants is killed during a raid or the town is given to the Imperials during the main storyline, the game will glitch and you will be unable to finish the quest. ?Sometimes this quest will complete and you will be unable to start the next one, even through console commands. This means that if you go into the Ragged Flagon Cistern, you will be trespassing and all of the thieves will turn hostile.http://images.uesp.net/6/66/Pc22.png This can be fixed by entering setstage TG02B 10 and finishing it before entering Flagon.If Drifa has been killed prior to ending A Chance Arrangement, this quest will not be able to start.http://images.uesp.net/6/66/Pc22.png This bug is fixed by version 1.3.2 of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.http://images.uesp.net/6/66/Pc22.png Use the console command setstage TG02 10 to start the quest. Thanks Daventry :-) No xtra mod's here , except official DLC's + UOP's , SKSE & SkyUI , + my own player-house-mod I unlocked it through console ... room is still empty indeed , except for a set of steel weapons that have respawned there since the Pursuit-quest . -
Hihoo :-) I finished the whole Thieves guild questline & I'm guildmaster now . Received my guildMaster armor , tribute-chest key . But the door to the treasure room (the one that was accessible when Mercer Frey flees) remains inaccessible (door is closed requires key-cannot be picked) . Couldn't find any related topic yet ... Is this normal ? Is there a key I'm supposed to have ? Console unlock ? Pickpocket Brynjolf (does he have it ?) Thankies ;-) Remcoz

Ok , I took an enchanted weapon , fought around to empty it , and Finally , when my weapon reaches 2/3 emptyness ,(1/3 full) , Then only , the recharge option in menu appears (W key) , and I can recharge :-) Silly me (because of never empty-ing that far a weapon) .... and silly Bethesda (because it's the first game ever I play , where a weapon having , let's say 70/100 charges left, can't be recharged until it reaches ,let's say 40/100 ) Strange conception , but at least , it works . Can be closed ;-) Solved !
