Thank you! It's great to hear that you enjoy her company

I am not sure if it the general rule of reversed effects apply on everything - it's trial and error. Some things that I do work reversed are the attributes (strength, agility etc), feather, slowfall. I would suspect there's a high risk that magicka resistance could turn out to be vulnerability to magicka. Restore health isn't a *constant* effect, it's an effect that *does* something (restore health). (Sorry, my english isn't great, I don't find the proper words here). Shield also *does* something, so it could work. Trial and error is interesting - would be good to learn from you if it worked well or not! :) Well, it appears that it is in relation to cell changes that the effects start to work reversed. So it would probably be switching between good and bad. I wouldn't count on that a curse would have a longterm good effect on the companion. (Again, I'm interested in any feedback on what happened :)).

Glad to hear this! :) She is of course a PITA at times, but if you can live with that, she at least can make your MW-life less... stable... than it was before. A script is setting her skills to match the level of the player - but they are calculated for a female woodelf thief, i.e. not copying yours. That means that enchanted items probably not won't have any effect on her. At least not any good effect!! As I mentioned in my previous post here, there is an important *bug* with Morrowind npcs using spells or items with constant effects. Once you have changed cells with them, the effect will start to work reverted. I.e. a 'fortify strength' cuirass will be a 'drain strength' cuirass, a 'slowfall'-effect will be a 'hit-the-ground-fast-as-[censored]'-effect. And so on! So, my suggestion is that you keep the items you mention as far away from Constance and all other companions as possible. It's better that you use them, yourself :).

Great! I'm so glad it was something simple :). Hope you will have lots of fun with 'the girls' in your game. And thank you for the endorsement :)

There seems to be a general problem in your game that particularly affects npcs with special animations assigned to them. This is relevant both for Laura and Constance and the dancing girl in Dome Home whereas I believe that no-one else in Dome Home has a special animation assigned (would have to doublecheck that as it was some time since I made these npcs, but I'm rather sure). I'm not fully up to date with what animation mods that are used for Morrowind today, but if you are using any kind of animation mod, I would suspect you have the conflict there. If Laura and Constance now are behaving as they should, it might be that if you leave the Dome Home girl behind for a while she will then also react properly. Else, I can only think of that they might be encumbered or affected by a spell or disease. A common problem with Morroiwnd npcs is that if you gave them an item with constant effect it will in the long run have a reversed effect. So, if you give them a 'feather'-item it will start to burden them instead. Both Laura and Constance should cast spells on themselves to heal themselves from diseases and such. But the dome home girl isn't a companion so she doesn't have this feature. If you aren't using an animation mod and the dome home girl continues to act strange, write back and I'll read up on what you should try next (I'm a bit rusty, haven't made any Morrowind companion for a while, just been working on companions for Oblivion :)).

Unable to upload a single 15 MB file to TesNexus!

Wooaaa!! I *finally* managed to upload my file. BUT... I tried in Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, I tried with cable broadband and wireless broadband, I tried on two computers. Probably more than 100 times all in all. Most of my efforts failed after less than 10 % of the file was uploaded, at some occations I managed to upload 74 % before the connection with Nexus broke down. It was with cable broadband, Firefox, on my husband's computer that we finally were successful. The file was 62 meg, so it wasn't huge. And I haven't experienced these kind of problems here before. If I'm 'one of the few unlucky' I still think there's something strange going on here, as i have been able to upload to you before without hitting any snags. -

Actually, the last 4-5 tries I never got further than the first 441 kbs. Although yesterday I managed to upload more than 50 % of it once. I can't recall how long it normally takes to upload a bigger file - I haven't uploaded anything of +50 meg since december. I don't think it was extremely slow, I'd say more like 10-20 minutes (probably more like 20 than 10) I should be around most of the weekend, give me a shout when you have time. Or super sexy Buddah, if he has more time :). I see that 157 megs of unofficial Oblivion patches have been uploaded recently, so it's great that others are more successful than I. Before, I couldn't see any bigger upload in the list, so I thought maybe this was a general problem. -

I just made a new try and again failed. The upload halts and after a certain amount of time I get kicked out, with the following message from firefox: I have now tried more times than I can count, both with Internet Explorer and Firefox, always with the same result. As I have previously successfully uploaded rather big files here, I'm assuming something is not right. The file I'm trying to upload is approx 60 meg, and it's an optional file (not a main file, in case this matters) I have java-script enabled and I'm allowing popup-boxes. -
I noticed this thread when browsing for other information here. I seem to have the same problem with this file: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28977 Since it was released in december, I believe there are at least 6-10 endorsement that haven't been registred - i.e. the standard "I have endorsed this file"-message shows up but no endorsement has been added. Latest case I specifically noted was on March 29. I didn't know it was possible to have this corrected, but if would have course be nice. If it is of any help, I could gladly go through the posts (it's like 330 posts) and write down the individual cases.

I'm having the same problem as the OP. I have tried more than 20 times during the last 18 hours to upload an approx. 60 meg optional file to this mod: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28977 I have tried in Firefox and Internet Explorer, I have tried in .7z and in .rar. Regardless what I do, the transmission will cut off , 'typically' after 20-25 % of the uploading process, although I once managed to upload more than 50 % of it. I have uploaded fairly extensive files before without experiencing any difficulties. -
Hi Fable! :) And thank you for the kind words about us - me and Constance. For many reasons, she will always remain at the top of my list of companions as well - above all because it was the last mod Grumpy and I did together before he passed away, and we had so much fun figuring out how she should behave (or misbehave, rather...). I have often been asked if I would like to continue to expand on her, but that will never happen. Simply because I want to keep her the way she was when Grumpy saw her - I don't want to change a thing. But if I ever find time for it, I have a little 'cousin' of hers standing in Anvil, hoping to find an innocent player to bring into trouble. ;) I hope you will enjoy Vilja as well - she doesn't have as many bad habits as Constance, but still quite a few... :D

Thank you, both of you! :) It's so good to hear that Constance is still bringing some enjoyment to your Morrowind worlds, and "helping" you with "a little of this, a little of that" I'm sure she can get you an egg or 500 if you are hungry as well :whistling: Grumpy and I had such fun creating her, and I think her "personality" is a mix of our worst sides. I'd never play Morrowind without her, myself - Constance and Spot are the musthaves in my Morrowind-world (well, at higher levels Lokken as well, of course).

Yes, I do... The error message is however not related to Constance, but to another mod of mine, Blades Quest: Prophecy of the Lost Heir. Insela belongs in that mod. And the error message is because you are using the German version, where the cell Millie Hastien: Fine Clothier has another name. It's really sad that so many mods are not playable with german and french versions because of this. I think you are more than likely to have problems with the Constance mod as well, as some dialog entries are filtered for certain cells, and at least the cellnames of interior cells are different in the german version. I'm not sure how bad the problems will be - hopefully it shouldn't affect your gameplay. Both Lost heir and Constance have been translated to french but as far as I know not to german. However, another mod of mine, The White Wolf of the Lokken mountain, has been translated into german by Magicflame.
