No, I'm offended at the dismissive nature of the other devs remarks. It isn't progress if they dont even try. They're only after the money and it is obvious. "They're" meaning the other devs* Holy crap am I going to have to operationally define? I can't tell, because y'all are missing the point- THE OTHER COMPANIES DON'T WANT TO PUT IN THE EFFORT TO MAKE HIGH QUALITY GAMES.

Just go on twitter and see word for word what they are saying but they all unanimously agree that Baldurs Gate 3 is revolutionary and that we shouldn't expect the other companies to produce games that are on par. I say that that is not the way it should be. Stupid people piss me off fyi.

They're saying on twitter that people shouldn't expect rpgs to have the same quality, and I say that that's lazy and unfair. Larian is the company that made Baldurs Gate 3, I came to the forum to get a different perspective. I want to challenge AAA devs because the content we have been getting is less than sufficient. In fact, microtransactions and releasing games too early are the reason people aren't pre-ordering like they had in the past. Don't come at me like I dont have a valid point. Also, I manually censored my profanity because frankly, I knew people like you would miss the point. How you still missed it is beyond me.

Baldurs Gate 3 is a game that has been in development since 2017, with 7 offices. Triple A companies have no excuse for having lackluster games. AAA companies need to stop making excuses and just need to step up their game- instead they say that Larian shouldnt be a "baseline" for quality. Modders made an AI companion for Skyrim, if that isn't a testament to a modder's skills I dont know what is. A part of me wants to ask the modding community to band together to make a new game that puts AAA devs to shame. I dislike AAA devs for not seeing Baldurs Gate 3 as a step in the right direction. Larian listened to the community, and AAA devs have no right to say that it "isnt the norm" because oh its just Larian, they were always awesome- get real. NO. ABSOLUTELY NOT. They listen to the community, you exploit the community. Y'all aren't the same.
