  1. Well going to play some more Oblivion. The more I play this game the more I'm starting to grow quite fond of it. I never thought I would find another RPG I could get immersed in after playing WOW, but I sure have.
  2. Oooh more resources, thank you so much Eric. I will certainly take a look at these. Right now I'm still focusing on creating rooms and trying still to learn how to properly place doors. I'm going to try to build my first house this weekend when I have time and am not rushed to get it done. I realize that Mods take forever to make and what a fantastic job those players have done that have created Mods.
  3. Hi there, I recently found this one, and it did a great job of explaining things. The link you want in all of this site is the following: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Category:A_beginner%27s_guide Make sure you click on the Quest part. It breaks everything down you need to know to make a quest and I like it, it actually walks you through making one.
  4. If you're serious about not intending to get a Steam account as I read in another post of your's, then I'm sorry but no, that won't work. "Every" distribution of Skyrim has to be activated online through a Steam account and registered with Steam or the game won't run. Skyrim is a Steam-exclusive game. Even if you can buy disc versions of it, this only saves you some downloading, and only if you know how to trick the installer to use the disc and not just ignore it and download everything from the network all over instead. All updates, patches and whatnot will still have to be downloaded from Steam afterwards. Darn, Because I've heard Steam can give a lot of people a LOT of trouble, and I didn't want to deal with it. I play Kingdom of Amular and it uses the Origin thing and it's a pain in the neck..... You don't have to be online to play SkyRim do you? Man that stinks how they are doing that.... I don't understand why they are going through clients to play games......
  5. Yea, that's the one. I already have Knights... But I might just have to buy another disc just to get those official add ons.... What a pain in the neck lol. Are they worth it?
  6. Ulthar, This is most helpful. Thanks so much, I'm learning more and more about the console every day. Happy Gaming!!!! :)
  7. Hi, I'm trying to find a place where I can download the Official Vampire Lair from Elder Scrolls. I do not have a steam account nor do I wish to have one. I have been looking high and low for this download but do not see it on the Official Elder Scrolls page, should I call Bethesda and ask what I need to do to get this plug in? Does anyone else know other legal options to buy this seeing it's not available on the Official Page. If it is, can I have the working link please? Thanks.
  8. Yeah it gets really annoying after a while... You really should, it's fantastic  I've been doing some research, and see there's legendary and the regular one.... Is the Legendary one the better of the two? The Legendary edition contains DLC. Dawnguard involves vampires, dragonborn allows you to go to morrowind and hearthfire allows you to build a house and also contains all previous patches  That answers that for me then. I'm getting Legendary. I watched the trailor for it and got really excited. Thanks for the answer, I know I'm getting the best bang for my buck. Haha no problem  Yeah you are, plus if you can wait a month or so the christmas deals will start popping up so you might be able to save some cash  Oooh great idea..... I can wait one more month. :)
  9. DraketheDragon, Thank you so much for explaining what the D2D is. I am glad I'm good to go with Windows 8.1 as it has the new Facebook Application I'm dying to use. :) And I'm also guessing that if I get Skyrim on a disc then that should be okay to go too? Happy Gaming!!!
  10. Hi why not put a shortcut item on your desktop to the folder that has your screenshots. This is what I do because I could never remember where the blasted folder was.
  11. The level would not advance on its own, you'd have to rest and advance your level that way as you would normally in game play. This is what happened to me when I maxed out my Major skills one day just to see what they would do.
  12. Well did my first ever Mod doing the beginner's tutorial. Made a basement. I was so proud of myself. The door took the longest to line up, but it finally got there. :)

  14. Okay a bit of a noob question here: What's the D2D version of Oblivion, is that the same as the DVD version? I don't have Steam but play off of a DVD. How do you find the version of your Oblivion. I am going to be purchasing Windows 8.1 but am not really sure unless I know that Oblivion will continue to work.
  15. Of course you ought to play oblivion. I started with Morrowind but was entirely confused and did not care for the graphics. Then I started with Oblivion. [i have as yet to play Skyrim, but I plan on getting the game for Christmas.] I like Oblivion very much, in fact so much I'm starting to learn how to Mod for it. This is the first such role playing game I have ever been motivated to learn to mod for, and that is saying a lot. I like the Trade and Commerce Mod. It makes selling your things in Oblivion more profitable. The Bank of Cyrodill is another great mod. You can deposit money in the bank and earn interest off of it as well as have a deposit box which comes in really handy. I also can not live without the Training Cave Mod. In there you have a land dreugh who does not attack, but you can train up all your combat and magic skills with the exception of block.
