  1. I own HZD on Steam. I started New Game+ but haven't opened the game in 8 months. My game is modded an I know most of the mods won't work in the remastered edition. I read somewhere that the update is automatic when you open the game. Does anyone know if you can say "no" to the upgrade when you reenter the game? I am holding off on resuming the game until I find this out. Any advice appreciated.
  2. I "managed favorites" yesterday for the first time, adding Skyrim and SSE as my only two. Now I don't get notifications of comments on tracked files. None. Was that feature turned off due to the weekend crunch?
  3. In response to post #22441889. #22496724 is also a reply to the same post. Will try that. Entering the search after each time I click on one of the files in the search results is a pain and I am sure it uselessly adds to the workload on the servers.
  4. Maybe it's just me but, when I search for files containing a certain term, then click on one of the files in the resulting list, then decide to page back to the list, my search results are replaced by what looks like a search list that contains every file on the Nexus. Really, over 1k pages of results. If my error, someone please correct me, if a site issue, it needs fixing. Crazy about the new notifications!
  5. In response to post #11740828. Ditto the columns comment. I always have the feeling that there is some simple setting that I have either messed up or ignored re column width.
  6. Great job and most appreciated as usual. Just a note that the site is running as smooth as glass, and on a Sunday morning when I often experienced lags before, it is zipping right along. Super and thanks again for all you do.
  7. In response to post #7653202. #7653386, #7653470, #7653702, #7653807, #7654579, #7654588, #7656278, #7657258, #7657350 are all replies on the same post. I went Premium to help the site and because there was no pressure to do it. If I had felt coerced into it by some "mandatory" fee I would not have sent in a dime. I am not rich, nor am I an elitist, and I don't feel any animosity to members who decide not to donate. I was a member for 2 years before I did. The Nexus is a community of modders and players who love modding, and your nasty comments have no place here.
  8. Second the previous comment re Malwarebytes, and that you must go Pro. You have to update the free version manually and run scans manually too. The Pro version updates its definitions several times a day and runs all the time (with a low footprint) in the background, blocks and logs anything malicious and notifies you. Has saved my butt about 6 times in the year I have had it. Cost me about $20 and the license is for life across any PC you buy. Well worth it. I swear by this program. Dark0ne--Don't worry, bad stuff happens to everyone sooner or later on the net. The Nexus remains at the top of my list.
  9. I usually appreciate all the improvements to the site, finding them to be beneficial. But (isn't there always a "but"?) I do prefer the login to be "outside the box" so that folks like me who login several times per day can use autologon. There does seem to be room for the login on the left side of the top line. :)
  10. Like the site updates, cleaner and clearer. I notice, however, that my Norton Security Vault will no longer autologin to the Nexus on my WinXP laptop, but it does still work (once I manually drop down the new login box, of course) on my Win7 machine. One extra step on the Win7, and a manual login on the old XP machine. Was this intended? Curious......
  11. In response to post #7531724. #7532470, #7532529, #7532736, #7532790, #7532819, #7532842 are all replies on the same post. Well, it's not a big deal for me. But LIKE and ENDORSE have different meanings. ENDORSE more closely means RECOMMEND in this context. So, I may say that I LIKE blueberry pie, but I am not RECOMMENDING it to you, just stating my preference for it. I LIKE a lot of mods and use quite a few, but I ENDORSE very few. Just semantics really, not a major issue for me either way. :)
  12. In response to post #7531724. #7532470, #7532529 are all replies on the same post. Agree with Timmy.
  13. Do a google search for "enable papyrus log". You only have to edit or add 3 settings in your ini. There are great posts on how to do this and how to look at the log entries just before your game crashes, helped me identify which mod was causing me trouble. Good luck. BTW, in Explorer, look in My Games, Skyrim, Saves and see how big your saves are. Savegame bloat due to a bad mod was the problem for me and your symptoms sound similar.
  14. Happy New Year and Thanks for all you do! The Nexus is SO appreciated. Every player is playing a unique game thanks to the wonderful diversity of mods supported by Nexus. I am sure 2013 will be another banner year.
  15. @OakRain---Ahhh...The back button, now why didn't I think of that? Feel kinda silly. Thanks!
  16. OK, So I enabled Notification of Comments on Tracked Files and the notification tab said there were 5 new comments and listed the mods. When I clicked on one I was taken to the mod's page, but the notification tab then went to zero, so I didn't know what other four mods had new comments on them. The notification tab always did this, so it's not a new phenomenon, but now that I really want to use the notification tab for this, I am wondering if I have done something wrong or missed a setting in the preferences?
  17. The notification of new comments on tracked files will be a plus for me. I track some files just because I am interested in the comments. Maybe not having to visit the mods page to check for new comments, I will actually ease the load on the servers a bit. Maybe. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the constant improvements to the Nexus, made going premium such a smart decision for me. Thanks!
  18. Thanks to the posters for the posting date of SOS Civilization. With this info I was able to find a save from July 1, about a hundred saves ago but WAY better than starting again from scratch. Thank God for Norton backup, as I routinely delete all but the last 10 saves or so from the Skyrim save location in My Games. So I lose a bunch of Misc quests which are easy to redo. No more SOS CIv for me even if the author fixes and reissues it. I'm also done with any SOS mods, even though I liked them. Just not worth the risk. As time passes it is beginning to look like the mod has been orphaned. Not even a post from the author to give a progress report. Discouraging. I also deactivated all other mods that add scripts. Some mods "feel" like they will be so cool, and after a few tries in game, I end up not using them enough to justify keeping them. After all, what I really want is to play the game! That said, and not meaning to slam the author of SOS for an honest mistake, maybe instead of trying to fix the mod (or maybe in conjunction with fixing it) the author, or another knowledgeable modder, could develop an executable or a patch that would find and remove orphaned scripts from save games. Anyone remember Oblivion Animation Fixer? Saved my game after hundreds of hours when all #*^% broke loose following installation of a new video card. Just a thought. Just a wish.
  19. Don't fret. 99.99999% of the members appreciate so much all that the Nexus sites do for us, that a little glitch now and then doesn't mean a thing. Thanks for all you do. What it has added to my games is beyond measure.
  20. The more I use it....the more I like it. Thanks and Kudos.
  21. The Files, New Today tab now yields only one list, so the double list issue is fixed.
  22. As mentioned by another, I also get two complete identical lists when I click on Files, New Today. Other than that I have no problems with the new layout. Appreciate all the ongoing work to make improvements.
  23. I'd like to see a mod that changes the appearance of a wolf corpse after you kill it and take its pelt. A skinned wolf should look bloody and, well, skinless after its pelt is removed.
  24. Totally agree and wish someone who knew how to do it would add a little mod allowing the player character to just sit down in the wasteland at the end of a session before a save. It has always bothered me that I leave my character standing somewhere when I finish playing and am nowhere near a chair. Spoils the immersion a little for me. When I played Oblivion I had a sweet little mod called "sittable rocks" that added a rock your character could sit on at the base of any wall or tree etc. It did add some realism to my game. Don't know why the FNV game developers didn't think to add the ability to sit down anywhere. Hope someone with the skill reads this and can add a mod for it. :)
  25. I used a little mod called Sittable Rocks when I played Oblivion. It allowed you to place a rock against a tree or a wall and then sit on it. For immersion, I usually had my character either find a bed and sleep, or sit on a rock if I had to save and exit while in the woods. Made it seem more real than leaving her standing around somewhere while I went about my "real" life. :)
