  1. One thing I really, really liked about Fallout 3 was the addition (relative to Oblivion) of the compass icons that showed you any enemies within your field of awareness. I would like to request a UI mod that adds small, unobtrusive markers (the goal is for the compass to remain readable, while now showing additional information) to all hostile creatures within a certain radius. Optional things that would probably be very helpful include: - Compatibility with DarNified Dark UI - The ability to change the radius of the PC's awareness in a .ini file - A decrease in each marker's opacity as it gets further away from the PC. - Awareness (in the form of a different-colored icon) of non-hostile NPC's and creatures. Thanks for reading! ~ Xeuton
  2. Well, the name is based on the mod Arachnophobia for Oblivion, which got rid of all spiders in the vanilla game. I really enjoyed that mod, and figured there might as well be an equivalent for FO3, if not a more dynamic version that covered all enemies in the game.
  3. So you probably can guess what I'm asking for, but in case it isn't I'll just say what I'd like to see. I hope that someone can make a mod that will alter the monster spawns so there are no insect-type creatures that a player ever has to see. Frankly, due to the fact that some players may be scared of a number of other things to the extent that the game becomes nearly unplayable, just like I am with bugs, I think it might be helpful to actually have a couple of other things in addition to or instead of just a no-more-bugs mod. 1) a Compatibility Patch with things like Marts Monster Mod For Fallout, to extend the protection from bug-ness into the added rosters of monsters. 2) a completely different take on the mod, which would be a list of all monsters in the game with checkboxes next to them, accessed outside of the game, which the user would uncheck for individual monsters to take them out of the spawn lists, and then save as a new plugin. I know this probably sounds like a lot of work, but frankly I am easily creeped out by games, so much so that I still haven't finished the quests in Oblivion that involve any kind of zombies. I doubt I'd be the only one to appreciate the work that would be put into it. Anyway, thanks for your time, and I hope someone decides to take this on. ~ Xeuton
  4. Since I just realized this is here, I'll just reply here. Why is everyone so angry about Firefly? Just make a completely alternative set of worlds, with various characters, etc. I don't want to play Firefly in DC. That's totally lame. I want to play Firefly in Whitefall. On Ariel. Catching my drift? I think it would be better for us to completely forget about integration, and just focus on creation. Make a polygon-light, well-textured (and I mean well-textured) model of Serenity's exterior, so it can go pretty much anywhere (probably most of the animations of the vertibirds can be altered for our purposes if necessary.) Just add a browncoat to whatever clothes we wear. Hell, I want to be the captain if I'm going to be doing this. It's just a matter of putting in the time and effort, and the more of us that sign on, the more likely it is to get done. I'll do what I can from my Mac, but as a novice I'll need to be given some pointers about what I need to do. Still, I figure there's no shame in trying. If anyone wants to help out, give me a message and we'll see what we can do.
  5. First of all, I don't own a PC of my own that can play the game. I have a friend who lets me borrow it. Still, I think this is a great idea for Fallout 3, since I play it a lot and would like to see this. Basically, the world of the Firefly TV series, with it's Reavers, Alliance, and Browncoats, plus all the shiny worlds, dank and dirty wastelands, talk of slavery and prostitution, and endless degrees of et cetera, would perfectly make for a set of mods for Fallout 3, creating an interactive form of the series setting. Instead of Fast Travel, the player could fly in Serenity. Reavers could be designed using Raider armor, and potentially, some semblance of space exploration could exist, but otherwise, most likely every planet will be preknown, and travel between them will carry risks of random encounters, much like in the original fallout games. With Mothership Zeta giving the world of Fallout a taste of space, I think the potential for this mod set to be a reality is quite complete. I don't know how I can help, since I can't code, and I am typing this on a MacBook, but just let it be known that I'd really like to see this, and anyone else who is interested, not to mention those who'd like to make said mod, should make it known on this thread, I figure. I hope this leads to a great realm of expansion in the Fallout 3 Mod-verse. ~Xeuton
