  1. Hi Guys, Has anyone found or authored a mod for the walking speed? I never finished ME:A. I had trouble enjoying the vanilla game on PS4, and now trying to come back to my favorite franchise and using mods to help me see it through. I've been able to mod away all of my gripes except for my biggest one... The extremely slow walking speed. I'm just not finding any mods for it anywhere here or elsewhere. Surely I'm not the only one who dislikes the walking animation speed? I looked into Hyper Mobility, but its description doesn't include any changes to walking when guns are holstered. The walking speed when using Ryder's scanner is perfect (if you need a reference for comparison and what I'm looking to achieve). Is there anything in existence that could help me speed up when walking with holstered weapons?
  2. Quite likely. SKSE doesn't change anything in game, in just adds more powerful scripting functions. So, unless you added mod that REQUIRED starting a new game, you could go on about your business without trouble. Thanks! :) I guess I need to start looking into comparable mods in SE to my favorite 32 bit ones now. There goes another 500+ hours of my life. My wife hates you.
  3. This is probably a dumb question, but Google is failing me on this one... Would it be possible to play a modded SE now and just install SKSE64 when they're done working on it on that existing save?
  4. Hi Everyone, In an effort to quickly beat a failing OS HDD, I quickly looked up how to back up my modded Fallout 4, executed on it, and copy/pasted instructions for myself when I'm ready to finally reinstall. That day have finally come, and so now, I wanted to ask you guys for help in getting my game restored. Firstly, these are the notes I had copy/pasted... Restoring NMM back to your backup settings Go to your the game's Data folder and copy the contents of your Backup\Data folder to it (overwriting if asked) Go to your NMM folder for that game, open the Install Info folder and delete everything that's in this folder. Then copy the contents of your Backup\Install Info folder in to it. While still in your NMM game's folder, go in to the Mods folder and delete the ModProfiles and VirtualModActivator folders if they exist. Go to where the .ini files are located and overwrite them with the ones from your backup in Backup\ini. Go to where the loadorder.txt and plugins.txt files are located and overwrite them with the ones from your Backup\Plugins folder. These notes lead me to the following questions, which I hope some of you good folks could help me get answers to... What about F4SE? When in the process should I install F4SE? What about Loot? When in the process should I install that? After doing this, will I still be able to activate/deactivate mods via NMM? Was this the ideal way to back up my modded FO4 or is there a better way going forward? Is there anything else I might be overlooking?
  5. Hi All, My assumption is that neither of these are available, but I figured that it couldn't hurt to ask you guys if I'm simply not finding the mod I'm looking for. I'm loving my modded Fallout 4 right now. The only two standouts for me are the vanilla jump animations and the way in which the PC interacts with followers in conversation. The third person jump animation is self-explanatory. I hate the animation and the floaty feel when making the PC jump. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything that fixes this. In regards to PC and Follower interactions, I absolutely can't stand how this is structured... "Your Thoughts?" "Blah blah blah" "What are you thinking?" "blah blah blah" "How are things between us?" "blah blah blah" If these two things bothered you too, can you please share how you've modded your way around them?
  6. Yeah... That's what I have set up. Thought I had screwed something up. Oh well. So long as that's how it's supposed to be, I'll just deal with the few extra click. It is a bit of a nuisance though.

  8. Same. To get around this, I "download manually" to Desktop, hit the plus sign in NMM, and double click the mod to load it into NMM. Then activate as you normally would. You can stay logged off in NMM until they get the issue sorted. The front page discusses that this is an issue with too much traffic for them due to Skyrim Remastered being released.
  9. Can someone please help me out? Even when I uncheck "Read Only", loading the game makes the file revert back to Read Only again.
  10. Thank you! :) Is there a method to back up so that I can easily recover from a complete system failure in the future?
  11. Thank you. This is exactly what I needed to determine what action to take. :) I did manage to back up all the mod files and numbered them so I can rebuild when needed, so I can actually do that. However, SkyRe will pose the biggest problem and is also the most important for the sake of gameplay balancing. That being the case, I might have to seriously consider starting over. Ugh. :( Can you please advise how I can avoid this happening to me in the future? Is there any way to back up everything so that, if my system fails me again, I can just install and pick up where I left off - or is that not possible?
  12. Would you mind sharing a little detail on your experience so I can compare the situations? ... Or are you sure that there is no hope at all? It's a 300 hour game save, so I would like to be 100% sure I can't recover from this. :( If you or anyone else can advise me on how to avoid this ever happening again, I would be forever thankful. What would be the best way to back up Skyrim for a total loss situation? Is that even possible is there are script mods present?
  13. Hello, I'm unsure if I'll require assistance, so I figured I'll post this here to see where the discussion goes. Though I have been playing a modded version of Skyrim for quite some time, I still consider myself a beginner. Especially since I have been content with my modded Skyrim for a year now, and haven't made any changes in that time. Not even mod updates (in fear I'll break something). Well, stupid beginner here didn't adequately back up everything, as my back up files were corrupted as well. All I have right now is my game save. I did numerically order and back up all the mod files I used, but the files themselves aren't all working, so the files really just serve as a guide for what order to install them in. So, my question now is, is it still possible to continue my game from where I left off if I had a bunch of script mods and an ENB installed as well? ^ This is provided I install newer versions of the mods previously in there and even replace some entirely due to changes in compatibility over time.
  14. Being able to adjust walking distance would definitely help. The only mod I found called "Follower Mod" is this one... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60763/? It doesn't seem to have the ability to adjust walking distance. Were you talking about a different one, maybe? I've used EFF in the past and you can shorten the distance between followers slightly. Awesome! Thank you! I assume I'll need to uninstall AFT before using this? There's no mention of it in the description that I see, but I'm assuming those two will conflict in wonky ways since they're both script mods? Is that correct? Sorry if that's a dumb question. I'm still relatively new to dealing with several script mods. :P
