  1. Guh. Still the mod doesn't work. I'm trying to get the alternate start, arrive by ship working by the way. Another thing is, when I put it into the C:/Games folder that I created, it doesn't make another folder for Oblivion, it just puts the Data folder in with the oblivion files, which makes it disorganized. Would it be okay to install it to C:/Games/Oblivion? And would I have to go through the trouble of deleting the registries again to uninstall?
  2. I can't get it to work at all. Even using OMODs won't work for me. It's starting to really frustrate me. I have a bunch of remnants of Oblivion files all over the place now it seems, and to top it off I can't use any mods.
  3. Will it work if I just install it into program files and use Obmm?
  4. I know how to install mods. Like I said I've been doing it for a long time. It's just this new computer that's screwing me up. I'm using 7z to extract the files to my data folder. I've always just done it the manual way.
  5. Er...Did you think I was still using the default path for installation? I don't feel that stupid. But I'll just try reinstalling it again. I dunno what I'm doing wrong.
  6. I'm confused. I got it installed into C: > Folder I created, with the Oblivion files in that folder now. However I extract the mod into the data folder and nothing happens. I feel stupid.
  7. I'm installing it to a folder I made on the C drive, but it still makes a Bethesda Softworks file under Program Files(x86). It's frustrating.
  8. Yeah, go with the Sims 2 and expansions. The Sims 3 is good, and in my opinion it looks better, but the Sims 2 has so much more going for it.
  9. Huh. I installed it to a folder I created, however only the data folder appears there, Oblivion still appears under Program Files(x86) > Bethesda Softworks > Oblivion. Is that right? Should I just put them in the data folder?
  10. After my last computer had a mobo failure, I decided to start fresh with oblivion mods. I have a nice desktop that can run oblivion on max settings, however it doesn't mean that much to me if I can't have mods. I don't know why, but I just can't get them to work on windows 7. I place them into the place I would normally put them on my Vista Pc [The only difference being that it's now in Program files(x86) ], and the one I'm trying to install shows up in data files, but when I go to play it doesn't actually work. At all. I can't think of what's going on. I had tons of mods on Vista 32 bit, but I can't get them to work on W7.
