  1. Very amateur post but I couldn't find the solution anywhere (as technical faults are not my forte). Just in case anyone gets this and doesnt know what to do. Suddenly started getting this with F4SE also. Kinda annoying but cant knock efforts to protect my computer ;).
  2. Hi all, I recently came across an issue where Windows Defender would not allow me to run F4SE (Fallout 4 Script Extender). I noticed that online no one seems to know any form of workaround, or have at least not shared this. A number of guys are racking their brains trying to work this out but I stumbled on a very easy fix. I'm just posting for those who suffer similar issues as the issue is really easy to get around but is annoyingly obvious but hidden. You will get an error message from Windows Defender advising that it windows not recommend running the application. At first, it does not appear that there is any other option but to quit. However do the following to run it without further issues. 1. Click 'More Info' on the same page, a new option will appear. 2. A new option reading 'Run Anyway' appears. Click this and hey presto! F4SE and Fallout will run :). Forgive me if this is already known. Thanks!
  3. the patch was what bethesda (god bless em) didnt clear up and natural environments made it a beautiful game to play. gates to Aaesgard was also very very good. cant wait for the new skyrim mods to flood in!
  4. Hard to think the mods we're seeing now are the last of a great era! Roll on Skyrim Indeed! We all know we've had some good times with Oblivion and what a better time to reflect? Whats ur personal favourite mods? bit random but i'm gonna miss this game! Be nice to hear everyones thought plus kick myself for missing out ha! Mine was Lost Spires. I was new to the whole PC version of the game and this mod showed me the potential of not buying the Elder Scrolls on a console. Take a bow! Share your thoughts! Farewell Cyrodiil! Until next time! 5. Thanks PPL il have a look and hopefully this will resolve the problem
  6. I've just bought a new Windows 7 laptop and installed oblivion plus transferred all my original games and mods over and they all work fine. However whenever I download a new mod from this site they never work. I got to open oblivion and it will automatically close when the Bethesda logo appears. I've had this before due to conflicts but how can the 20 mods I've installed (which I've selected one by one to root out the problematic mod) all not work? I use 7zip to extract them which I've always done however 7zip does open differently than before and is the 64 bit version. I have tried to download them on both Google Chrome and Windows Explorer and does not make a difference. However when I download a mod using my old pc, extract the files on the old one and transfer it to my new laptop using a portable hard drive it seems to work. I'm guessing I have a setting on my laptop/7zip/antivirus that is preventing these from working (NOD32 Antivirus)? I also have tried to run OBMM to search out conflicts and some of them do not conflict with anything at all. I do not have Tes Construction Set Installed and have just re-installed the latest Oblivion Patch from the Elder Scrolls website. Can anyone point out what could be the problem? I'm thinking 7zip myself? If you want to know anymore then message me. Thanks SomeMug
