  1. offer to help after refusal: https://i.imgbomb.com/VwPod.png
  2. Yes, sorry about that! Dialogue is not my strong suit.
  3. It's especially bad if you play above 60 Hz. Bethesda did a really bad job with their game clock. Physics bug the hell out.
  4. My mods: Audio Overhaul 2 Better Dialogue Controls Better MessageBox Controls Enhanced Blood Textures Enhanced Night Skyrim Ethereal Clouds High Definition Ivy Hold Border Banners Immersive Armors Immersive Weapons Point the Way RaceMenu Rainbows Shooting Stars SKSE Scripts SkyFalls & SkyMills Skyrim Better Roads Skyrim Immersive Creatures SkyUI SMIM Ultimate HD Fire Effects (Thanks for that one!) Unique Flowers and Plants Unique Grasses and Groundcovers Unofficial Patches VioLens W.A.T.E.R Wet and Cold I don't have a single compatibility patch and everything works fine. Then again, I mostly have only visual and minor gameplay tweak mods. I don't have any overhauls or anything.
  5. I still use NMM. am I crazy? Tried using MO following Gopher's tutorial series, but it just wouldn't work properly on my machine.
  6. You're right, silly me. I'll keep that in mind next time I plan to reinstall Skyrim.
  7. Fix found ** For future readers: NMM will not restore files, it will simply remove them, but this is still considered messy and isn't recommended. When you're reinstalling Skyrim, in NMM use the uninstall all active mods option under tools. Out of curiosity, does anybody know where this information is stored? Is it the NMM servers that detect you've got missing files, or is there a hidden directory somewhere that isn't uninstalled with Skyrim and NMM? It's really an annoyance to click through 400+ dialogue boxes, some of which take longer to finalize than others.
  8. Hey, I've just recently had to re-installed Skyrim for a OS re-install, so I've got to re-install my mods as well. The first thing I installed was SKSE, version 1.7.0, with the hopes of using the newly implemented memory fix to increase the stability of my game. I have been following Gopher's tutorial: here, but I've run into a bit of a problem: I don't have an SKSE folder anywhere. In his tutorial, around 22:54, he shows you the directory which contains the .ini file you need to edit. He also tells you to create an .ini file if you don't have one. I, however, don't even have the folder. I could create one, but that seems to be avoiding the real problem, which is the fact the folder wasn't generated when I installed SKSE, which could signify deep-rooted issues with the installation. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this corrupted SKSE installation. I've re-installed Skyrim and tried installing using both the automatic installer and installing manually. Nothing works. I thought maybe the game needed to be ran for it to generate, so I tried, but to no avail. Here's a screenshot of my Data folder (completely fresh, SKSE installed): here. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  9. Could you tell me what I'm misspelling in the starter post? I don't get any red lines. More general grammar mistakes? Anyway, thanks for the reply. I would love to provide more information, but there really isn't much there. I'm looking for help to build this from the ground up not polish it. As such, I'd be letting helpers have a good amount of creative control over the story and all elements of the mod.
  10. Yes. There's also these: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25404/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4483/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32420/? I don't see a problem with having multiple starts to choose from
  11. Hi! I'm currently in the early development stages of an alternate start (or beginnings, rather) mod. It's going to replace the first 30-40 of the game with something less tedious and known. I'm looking for some help with pretty much all aspects of the mod. I have my knowledge, but if I really want this thing to be the bees-knees I'm going to need expert level designers, voice actors, scripters, etcetera. This mod isn't just going to skip the first part of the game at Helgen, it's going to replace it - and a little past it. I should stress that this is in its very early stages, only a tad bit of the progress has been made. Nothing yet is final. FROM THE GOOGLE DOCUMENT If you'd like to help, send a private message or post here and I'll give you access to the document and hidden mod page. This is a long-term project. No rush, no stress.
