  1. It's really been grating me lately how an Argonian can transform from a cold-blooded creature into a canine, even with magic. Yes, it's strange that humans can become canines as well, but hey, they have hair so it makes more sense. I've been entertaining the idea of an edit to the werewolf model and texture so that it becomes some kind of reptilian monster instead of a canine. How cool would it be to transform into a half-argonian, half-alligator monster and rip some people in half?

The model and texture would be easy enough, I'd imagine, but the real problem would be having the werewolf be different for Argonians. You could just replace all werewolves but that would make even less sense. So the reason I make this thread is to ask, does anyone know how the system for Lycanthropy works? Is this possible at all?

  2. I really don't want to break your spirits, but about 1 in 10 of these kinds of mods come out as a success and they are rarely even faithful to the universe and they sometimes just end up as being a complete bastardisation of the original.

In my opinion a better idea that is more manageable is having the player return to a small area of the map that is just off Skyrim's border. I had the idea of a mod that lets you cross the border and go to Cloud Ruler Temple, which is just about the closest location in Cyrodiil to Skyrim. You wouldn't be able to go much further than that, but just that small area would be pretty damn cool IMHO. If you're more ambitious you could extend that area up to Bruma, and allow the player to go there.

    Just my 2 cents.

  3. Hopefully with the new animation format we will have some more success with adding things like throwing weapons/crossbows. I was devastated when I heard they weren't adding in the Morrowind stuff.
  4. Yeah the game seems to be at about half volume for me. It's very annoying. My sound setup requires that everything be on the highest possible volume for me to even hear it at all (hearing disability), and I'm using an Astro MixAmp to make it louder, so I'm pretty much at the highest volume possible without hooking up multiple amps >.>
  5. I'm sure I won't. I don't regret getting New Vegas on my PS3.

Hey, you said it, not me.

*Goes back to playing Oblivion with several hundred new spells, ten new races, a zillion new weapons, overhauled graphics and textures 4 times the size of the originals*

  6. Weird problem here. I replaced some of the game's weapon sounds, and suddenly every gun in the game sounds like I'm firing it. Like there'll be 7 supermutants firing at me with hunting rifles, and you can't tell where each shot is coming from as usual. Every gunshot sounds exactly the same as if I equip the weapon and fire it myself, in other words, the gunshot doesn't come from any direction, it is just ambient.

    Can anyone help me?

  7. Hey guys,

    I had a nice idea for a mod the other day. I was thinking that it would be interesting to add the opportunity to make your own weapons from bits and bobs scattered around the game and constructing them at crafting benches, and in doing so, add a lot of customisation options. A gun would be built out of several main parts, such as;

-Receiver, which will determine the caliber of the gun

-Stock, which will add weight but increase accuracy if you choose to add one, and less so if you use a lighter one or forgo one entirely

-Barrel, which may determine power, accuracy and whether the weapon is silenced or not

-Optics, which will affect weight, but may allow use of a scope

-Foregrip, which will affect durability and accuracy

I'm currently in the process of modeling and texturing some of these weapon components, but I would like the thoughts of the community on this one. It would be quite an ambitious project, but I'm sure it would be well worth it in the end.

    Cheers!

  8. It's rubbish. I played through it on 360 last year and it was absolutely terrible. Nauseating gameplay, minimal extra content (weapons etc), terrible excuses during story (you meet a mute, and it's so obvious they just made a mute character so they wouldn't have to do voice-acting for it), and it's just awful.

    Avoid at all costs.

  9. Quite frankly, I don't care either way. I'd LOVE an Oblivion with Crysis graphics. Sure, a good story is always nice but all I want is good gameplay. If the game has that AND good graphics it will be amazing.
  10. In Skryim you're gonna play as the next Dragonborn. Now I don't know a whole lot of the lore of TES, so does this mean it's a possibility that the player in TESV could be anointed emperor? Because AFAIK all Dragonborn are members of the Septim family.

    Just food for thought.

  11. I'd be excited for this mod if it had a higher level of compatibility. Maybe if Valve weren't dictators I could have two copies of NV installed, one for my current mods and another for this mod.

It's all looking and sounding amazing.

  12. Killing caesar is like cleaning a save.

Hes a utter f@&#!t and so are his troops. All they do is enslave innocent people. But when i come storming with Boone with a f***ing Mossberg shotgun then there is a challange for them.

Also the first thing i did was get into the tent and pull out a Fire Axe ( Knock Knock ). A uniqe weapon. Then stormed against him cutting his head off. Along with that his Arms, legs everything flew off lol.

Wow... don't get too excited bro

  13. You mean remove the pipboy and the background of the pipboy screen, leaving nothing but floating numbers and such? Can't be done. This has been tried before with FO3, game engine limitation or something. There is a holograhpic pipboy mod out that does something similar (I'm unable to get onto fo3nexus right now to dig up te link) already out.

Hahaha. Can't be done? Nothing is impossible in game development as long as current technology allows it.

  14. I think I remember a mod that split up the armors like Morrowind, i.e right gauntlet, left pauldron, etc. so you could mix and match. Is my memory serving me right?

EDIT: I just found one called Seperates Pauldroms, but I want it for the gloves as well.
