  1. Everybody raves about how great SMAA is, but whenever I try to use it, Skyrim's text gets really crummy looking and distorted. I have tried taking a screenshot, but I can't get the same look as it's a post-processing effect. I am using SweetFX. Nobody else out there seems to have this problem as I have searched for it extensively. What am I doing wrong with the settings? I have tried playing with the SweetFX settings and changed the preset from LOW to HIGH to ULTRA and it sometimes gets somewhat better, but not much. This is driving me nuts!
  2. I have been trying really hard to do this, with little luck. There are some programs that do a good job of making a 3-D image fro ma picture (look up Vizago and/or Faceworx), but sadly, I have no idea how to convert those into Skyrim. Probably would require some skill with Blender or another program to make custom meshes and textures which I do not have.
  3. I am trying to make a container with a bunch of modded equipment in it. I am able to place the container, but only SOME of the stuff appears inside and I can't find any reason the rest of it will not. There are even some items from the same mod, but not others. I followed theses instructions from the nexus forums: 1) Open CK. Select the esp that you want to access items from or use as a master (but don't make it active). Make the changes to the items that you want to modify. Save your new mod. Close CK. 2) Open Wrye Bash. Right-Click the the new mod, click "Add Masters" and select the esp that you're using as a master. 3) Set the load order so your new mod is below the mod you that you used as the master. Run Skyrim. Start a game. Test it. Done. Load order list: (mods with a * are the master/parents of my mod) Wrye Smash screenshot:
  4. Here is something you could do...start doing all the planning now. Get quests, NPCs, weapons, dialogue, terrain, everything all planned out and written down with as much detail as possible, even voice actors and such. Then, when Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, you will be halfway done and only need to put it into action. Plus, the modding community with that will be booming right at the start, so you could pitch your idea to some hungry modders who want to start doing stuff.
  5. Can anyone out there make a character from a photo of someone in real life? Good looking and reasonably accurate. I am terrible at making decent looking characters and have failed miserably at doing this myself. I have obtained said person's permission for this, btw. It would be be awesome if someone could also bundle up other mods into one mod, like custom skeleton, body, physics, movements, textures, hair, etc. But the face is the part I just can't do.
  6. Dang, this would be so epic if it could happen. Nothing would make me a happier gamer than to see a high quality Akavir game, mod, or dlc. I barely know my way around the CK, though so there is very little I could do on the technical side. Either way, I support this idea!

  8. I have always thought it would be cool to do a scenario for what might happen if the bad guys won. Basically, a post-apocalyptic world to run around in. Maybe Molag Bal's Coldharbour or just a ruined and desolate world where the enemies are in charge, and your character and the humans/elves/beasts were forced to go into hiding. Perhaps the questline could be joining a resistance and restoring Skyrim to what it used to be. Just an idea that had been in my head for a while.
  9. That could be really cool if plenty of effort was put into it! Maybe it could work where you create your own character like at the start of the game with a special "Daedra Lord" race? I'd use it.
  10. Thank you, I appreciate the suggestion. Yes, I do have their permission. I would not have asked otherwise.
  11. I would like a personalized follower made to look like someone I know, with all the bells and whistles like better animations, textures, skeleton/body, race, realism etc. I have tried doing it myself and it has just sucked XD I am looking for an all-in-one package that I can plug and play with minimal extra mods. Anybody who can help me out, I will be VERY grateful to!! ^.^ Also, since I am asking for high-quality work, I will give a small donation of a few US dollars for someone's time and effort (at the time, I am rather low on funds, but would like to thank anyone who can help. This should not be against forum rules, as I am offering a donation, not requesting it)
  12. Has anyone seen the Oblivion mod with that incredible sword, simply called "Sanwa's 2680 sword"? I would LOVE to see a Skyrim import of that. I don't know how to convert stuff, though.
  13. Wondering what the best way to get a person from the real world into Skyrim as an NPC/follower would be? Any mods that can scan a picture and create a texture from it? Or any mod/mod collection that allows customization that's in-depth enough to make a very unique character/NPC/follower? I think it would be neat to put people I know into the game. What's the best way to do that? Forgive me if this is a noob question, I have not modded Skyrim before.
