Detect All Creatures spell doesn't work?

It's a Vampire Lord power. While a vampire lord, open your favorites menu (d-pad up on xbox) and select detect all creatires. Use the shout button to detect life. It also detects dead people for some reason. It doesn't last more than a second or two either. Hope this helps
