  1. everything seems to work now. I loaded up the game since I didnt get the error this time. and the mods seem to be in effect. so I think its sorted xD thanks for the help Uber. =)
  2. okay so I got the new one and inputted the commands as it says via the readme. and the outputs in the cmd is exactly as it shows. is there anything else I need to do? (feel like I'm having a derp moment >.< ) EDIT: I tried doing XCOMModHelper -c EWConfig.xml -v and it says that EWConfig.xml doesnt exist. which is strange since its in the same place as the ModHelper
  3. Can you try the new version listed here? https://github.com/fperks/xcom-mod-helper/releases/download/v0.31/Release031.7z I'm using the new version and I still get that. if there is a manual way of activating the exe via cmd, then I am unfamiliar with it.
  4. I've been trying to make sense of the commands. when I try to use the EW installer I just get this error: [iNFO]> ==========XCOMModHelper========[iNFO]> Attempting to Locate XCOM Install Directory[iNFO]> Using XCOM Installation Directory of [ g:\games\steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown ][iNFO]> Loading Configuration File [ EWConfig.xml ][iNFO]> Backing up [ g:\games\steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\Binaries\Win32\XComEW.exe ] to [ g:\games\steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\Binaries\Win32\bXComEW.exe ][iNFO]> Applying Patches to [ g:\games\steam\SteamApps\common\XCom-Enemy-Unknown\XEW\Binaries\Win32\XComEW.exe ][ERROR]> An Error occured during processing: [ERROR]> System.InvalidOperationException: The Sequence [ 25 00 64 00 00 00 00 00 49 00 6E 00 69 00 56 00 65 00 72 00 73 00 69 00 6F 00 6E 00 00 00 00 00 2E 00 2E 00 5C 00 2E 00 2E 00 5C 00 58 00 43 00 ] was not found at XCOMModHelper.ExecutablePatcher.ApplyPatch(Byte[] pattern, Byte[] patchData) in d:\Workspace\xcom-mod-helper\XCOMModHelper\ExecutablePatcher.cs:line 54 at XCOMModHelper.XCOMModHelper.ApplyPatches() in d:\Workspace\xcom-mod-helper\XCOMModHelper\XCOMModHelper.cs:line 66 at XCOMModHelper.XCOMModHelper.Execute() in d:\Workspace\xcom-mod-helper\XCOMModHelper\XCOMModHelper.cs:line 42 at XCOMModHelper.Program.Main(String[] args) in d:\Workspace\xcom-mod-helper\XCOMModHelper\Program.cs:line 62[ERROR]> The Patching Process was Aborted the weird thing is that the EU one works perfectly fine. any ideas?
  5. feels kinda weird finding the solution to your own modding question <despite the fact I have never modded Oblivion before> :blink: anyway I've found the solution and I want to share with everyone so if they have the same wants like me they can have a solution :thumbsup: once I got the TS construction set I found the .dds and .nif file of the hairs I wanted then I loaded the data file that I wanted to add to: in this case for me it was 'Ren's Beauty Pack' <and made it the active file> after it loaded up I went to 'Characters' then 'Hairs' that gave me a list of all the hairs that are currently available. I simply right clicked and selected 'New' then name the file. once that was done I named what it would say in the hair menu in game, after that I added the .dds and .nif files that I wanted and clicked ok. ok now we have the hair but it isn’t being used by anything... to change that I went to 'Characters' again but this time and selected 'Races' right, now you select the race you want to have your imported hair to go to, you’ll see a tab in the middle of the window, select ‘Body Data’, then you'll see in the bottom right of the window will say 'Hair Styles'. At this point you may want to re-open the hair window, after you've done that, simply drag your hair <that doesn’t sound right :blink:> into the 'Hair box in the Races window and Bingo! select ok then save and the next time you either to the race menu cheat or create a new character the imported hair will be there ready for use :thumbsup: it may seem difficult but if I can do it and I've never use the program before you should be able too :wink: the program is suprisingly easy to use well I hope this will help anyone that wants to merge hair styles from different race mods :cool:
  6. Hi I've been looking at hairs from a few different race mods that I have installed in my Oblivion game... and it has been really bugging me that some hairs are 'unique' to particular races eg: corean hairs from the Asian Elves race cannot be used when you've chosen Mistic Elves as a race.... I was wondering if there was any way to change/mod that so hairs can be used with all races or a select few files that i want to use with particular races? or is there a mod that already does this? thanks in advance :thanks:
