  1. Loving it !!! HOWEVER.... major complaint: I find that 'sneak' at highest level even with 'invisibility/cloak' has no advantage for my character.
It seems the WoC NPC's can see me plainly.
This takes away a LOT of strategy and is no fun.
This issue does not exist with the game's vanilla NPC's or even with PACE spawned NPC.

  2. thank you. I have started a new game with the exact same mod load. so far there has been no recurrence. i am leaning toward a corrupted save. Only time will tell.

But yes, i posted here due to the fact that i had never seen anything like it. Unattached instances just popping up. At first i thought some new beta mods i was trying out were the cause but that was a dead end.

I do use 'War of the Commonwealth' but having used that for a long time I doubt that was the culprit.

  3. The issue seems to consistently be with

    "ActorBase' ReFid=FORMIDX:000000"

This is followed by an ID: XXXXXXXX which is different for all 36 instances. But I cannot tell what mod is generating this mess.

    INSTANCE of ActorBase

  4. Hello ...

I am having an issue with recurring 'script instances' which are displayed when using the 'ReServer' utility ( v. 4.0.1 - b105 ).

After having some CTD, I decided to recheck the save and found 'unattached script instances' .... even though I knew I had not removed a mod. I used the 'ReServer' utility and found the 'unattached script instances' and then removed them with the utility and saved and started the game with the 'clean' save.

I then ran the game for just a few seconds and decided to check with ReServer only to find that I had again 15 unattached instances.

    Help or hints ?

  5. What I usually do is add mods ( such as environment, weather, texture) first. I usually run LOOT and Wrye Bash and then start a new game and save it. Rinse and repeat. I use LOOT and Wrye Bash along the way and any cleaning (SSedit) that needs to happen.

At this point, I am aware of those mods that need to have a new game so those of course go in.

I COULD use NMM or Wrye Bash to disable a few of the usual suspects in the new game load to see if / when it starts....

Getting Skyrim to run is almost as much fun as the game itself!

  6. Thanks Wasteland Assassin (cool !)

I guess I should mention that I am using Skyrim SE if that makes any difference …

BUT, I would tend to agree with your assessment, at least in theory. I tried VERY HARD to NOT add mods into the mix on my last play-through, as I am looking for that Nirvana of the 'perfect Skyrim game' ….but I got tempted by some other mods along the way. … hmmm, reminds me of dating in High School…. but I digress …

I would not mind disabling (using NMM) all active mods and beginning with a clean base game with just environments and texture mods plus 'Skyrim Unbound' … except that I have read that I should NEVER change the load order or add new mods. But I might just have to break that 'rule' … [?]

  7. Hello JJB54 ….

I have NOT updated any mods. The mods are identical and mod order has not changed.

My rig is VERY FAST since my hardware upgrade a few months ago. Normal Skyrim Startup is about 5 seconds. This is all it takes for the saved game to start.

I have 16 GB DDR4 ram. Task manager shows 2.39 GB holding /used for the Skyrim process. Not sure what is going on 'under the hood' at this time but there appears to be no HDD (actually an SSD) activity, or that would tell me SOMETHING.

I am wondering if it has anything to do with MODS starting up for THE FIRST TIME in a new game ??

This of course is not an issue with an established save game.

I do start to get messages (about 3) from mods starting up when I go to a new game prior to the 'hang'.

    When ARE mods supposed to start? It seems there should be some kind of delay to let the primary skyrim exe to get established. {?}

  8. Hello,

I am a somewhat experienced user but cannot figure out why I can run a previously saved game but cannot start a new game.

The new came is starting with the same mod load/order as the saved game which has no problem staring and running.

The new game 'hangs' at the point right after I select 'New .." from the initial menu. There is the Skyrim symbol logo, some 'mist' plays across the screen but it does not go any further.

In MS Task Manager I see a relatively low cpu useage but high [ >2GB] memory activity. There is no HDD activity indicated.

    This has me kinda stumped!

I am carrying a rather heavy mod load which is definitely a contributing factor but I cannot understand why the saved game starts and runs fine.

I would reduce the starting mods and add them in later but I read where that is NOT GOOD.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

  11. After viewing the new Nexus Site design, and having been with Nexus for a long time, I would like to compliment Blacktree Gaming.

First and foremost, the site is very professional looking. Many sites having to do with gaming mods and such do not put a lot of effort into the design or 'polish'. I like that Blacktree Gaming has indeed taken their role in the gaming world seriously and not only invested heavily in the IT infrastructure but also into how the product is presented. Since I do pay for premium services, I might be content to just not have advertisements. But the professionalism and presentation of Blacktree Gaming on the Nexus sites encourages me that my 'dues' are well invested. Keep up the great work!

  12. Everyone on this forum complaining needs to get a copy of "Who Moved My Cheese" and read it thoroughly. For goodness sake, you are acting like 12 year olds! or like our Government, which is worse.

You would think the Nexus site(s) were somehow crucial to your existence ..... snowflakes!

    2) jump drop down doesn't work
    3) searching for mods without specifying a game breaks after you specify a game in the filter.
    4) using the forum site and clicking on a link that is for a mod (the first post of a mod forum) sends you to the homepage (no game selected)
    5) No way to give kudos to individuals through the new website.
    6) Didn't think about the target audience (we are PC users, if you want a mobile site, have one built dynamically when m.game.nexusmods.com/mods/# has a request. From a security standpoint, limit the number of requests that ip can have on the mobile side like you do with the number of threads a user can create. Force them to login to reduce the time restraint or have them use the non-mobile site.
    6) It's hard to tell where a conversation ends with the new page. The new page seems to have a very thin boarder and very similar colors to be able to tell the difference quickly.
    7) Confirmed bias from Dark. He's in favor of the new site.
    8) Bug tracker is on github. Gotta make another account to post bugs (or at least try and remember my password)
    9) Roughly 1 page of bugs that I can replicate on github, 1.5 pages of suggestions, and half a page of questions that I didn't read in the first 8 hours.
    10) Not easy to read long drawn out sentences on a wider resolution because the eye doesn't want to travel that far across the page to some ridiculously lengthy piece reading material that would have been better on a 1/2 x resolution to begin with, but at least ultrawides don't quite have this problem. RIGHT? Gotta turn off all my scaling modifiers because I can't see so I can read this.
    11) Confirmed biases of new members. Very similar. Coincidence? Nah 7 is 11!
    12) Lists that are intended to go across the screen now go down. This is a reported bug already but things have extra spaces in them.
    13) Skyrim Special edition is missing it's special edition logo.

  14. Well, I have to chime in here..

I have been playing FO4 for many, many real-days now ... all of it in the surrounding areas of the 'inner city' of Boston.

There has not been ONE crash ... no glitches, no freezes, no CTD's, NOTHING, Nada!!

Then I started into the city and BOOM! crash! CTD!! ... i tried and tried .... there is a 'line of death' drawn around Boston. It is real and consistant.

    This is totally STUPID!

    I love FO4 .... I HATE BETHESDA STUDIOS!

You would think they would care enough to help on this issue.

  15. After much use of Wrye Bash in OldRim and the new SE, I started running into an error in creating a bash patch ...

I am not sure where to fix this <?> I simply run LOOT then Wrye Bash. I see no 'RED FLAGS' in Wrye Bash.

Can anyone tell me what this means and where to fix it?

  16. HOORAY !!

As a longtime user of MO, I have been a HUGE fan of MO's 'virtual' system of implementing mods without touching the 'Data' folder. This has made it possible to move mods, including textures, meshes, etc etc. into and out of a game while preserving the base game files and folder structures.

I was/am awaiting the dev of the 64bit version of MO to mod not only F4 but the new Skyrim revamp due out this month.

I know this will take time, but I am SOOOoooo really happy to see Tannin... on the job at Nexus!!

Robin, MAJOR KUDOS to you for your foresight on this !!!

  17. My wife comes to me this morning and asks me " ... what is this recurring charge of $$$ to 'Blacktree Gaming ?? Why are we paying this?" I replied, "... the best money I have ever spent. I am on it every day and it is probably the most professional mod site on the web. Now leave me alone, I'm about to kill a nest of mutants with my new LSW rifle !!!"

I have never liked consoles, will never have one ... for all the obvious reasons. But I will never be so prejudiced as to deny mods to people who love and use consoles. I do not understand why a 'religion' has grown up around this.

Nexus, keep up the great work you are doing!

  18. I have used the Nexus Sites almost exclusively. I cannot say enough good things. I would, however, take odds with the policy of a 'one time payment' to access all the sites as a premium member. I would make the access by Premium members a yearly fee and then, perhaps, on a 'per nexus site' basis.

I say this because paying a fee per year for premium access to Skyrim alone is worth it to me. I would not think it unreasonable given the level of service you have so far provided.

  19. Hey NMM dev Guys... It is taking over 90 secondes for NMM to start. I can start all of MS Office in less time! I love NMM but cuss evertime I have to use it. I HATE TO HAVE TO USE IT BECAUSE I HAVE TO WAIT SOOOOoooo D _ _ N LONG !!

There is no reason on a six core, 3.5 GB, SDD driven, 8GB ram machine that I should have to wait for NMM to lstart.

Please fix or get new developers.
