  1. Loving it !!! HOWEVER.... major complaint: I find that 'sneak' at highest level even with 'invisibility/cloak' has no advantage for my character. It seems the WoC NPC's can see me plainly. This takes away a LOT of strategy and is no fun. This issue does not exist with the game's vanilla NPC's or even with PACE spawned NPC.
  2. If you are not happy … go play some other game and annoy them.
  3. thank you. I have started a new game with the exact same mod load. so far there has been no recurrence. i am leaning toward a corrupted save. Only time will tell. But yes, i posted here due to the fact that i had never seen anything like it. Unattached instances just popping up. At first i thought some new beta mods i was trying out were the cause but that was a dead end. I do use 'War of the Commonwealth' but having used that for a long time I doubt that was the culprit.
  4. Another similar 'set' of 'unattached instances' is generated when I go back into the game (after cleaning) without my doing anything. 'Something' is generating these. I am having CTD.
  5. The issue seems to consistently be with "ActorBase' ReFid=FORMIDX:000000" This is followed by an ID: XXXXXXXX which is different for all 36 instances. But I cannot tell what mod is generating this mess. INSTANCE of ActorBaseWARNING: OBJECT MISSING! Selecting "Remove Unattached Instances" will delete this. REFID POINTS TO NONEXISTENT CREATED FORM. Remove non-existent form instances" will delete this. However, some mods create these instances deliberately. ID: 0000029e0b1243f0 Type: RefID@: FORMIDX:000000 Unknown2bits: 0 UnknownShort: FFFF UnknownByte: 00 There are zero threads attached to this script instance. There are zero stackframes with member data referring to this script instance. There are zero instances with member data referring to this script instance. There are zero references with member data referring to this script instance. There are zero arrays with member data referring to this script instance. There are zero structs with member data referring to this script instance.
  6. I have ReSaver Opened now. I am not sure where to look for what your are speaking of. Normally, I have just been able to clean and that was that ...
  7. Hello ... I am having an issue with recurring 'script instances' which are displayed when using the 'ReServer' utility ( v. 4.0.1 - b105 ). After having some CTD, I decided to recheck the save and found 'unattached script instances' .... even though I knew I had not removed a mod. I used the 'ReServer' utility and found the 'unattached script instances' and then removed them with the utility and saved and started the game with the 'clean' save. I then ran the game for just a few seconds and decided to check with ReServer only to find that I had again 15 unattached instances. Help or hints ?
  8. What I usually do is add mods ( such as environment, weather, texture) first. I usually run LOOT and Wrye Bash and then start a new game and save it. Rinse and repeat. I use LOOT and Wrye Bash along the way and any cleaning (SSedit) that needs to happen. At this point, I am aware of those mods that need to have a new game so those of course go in. I COULD use NMM or Wrye Bash to disable a few of the usual suspects in the new game load to see if / when it starts.... Getting Skyrim to run is almost as much fun as the game itself!
  9. Thanks Wasteland Assassin (cool !) I guess I should mention that I am using Skyrim SE if that makes any difference … BUT, I would tend to agree with your assessment, at least in theory. I tried VERY HARD to NOT add mods into the mix on my last play-through, as I am looking for that Nirvana of the 'perfect Skyrim game' ….but I got tempted by some other mods along the way. … hmmm, reminds me of dating in High School…. but I digress … I would not mind disabling (using NMM) all active mods and beginning with a clean base game with just environments and texture mods plus 'Skyrim Unbound' … except that I have read that I should NEVER change the load order or add new mods. But I might just have to break that 'rule' … [?]
  10. Hello JJB54 …. I have NOT updated any mods. The mods are identical and mod order has not changed. My rig is VERY FAST since my hardware upgrade a few months ago. Normal Skyrim Startup is about 5 seconds. This is all it takes for the saved game to start. I have 16 GB DDR4 ram. Task manager shows 2.39 GB holding /used for the Skyrim process. Not sure what is going on 'under the hood' at this time but there appears to be no HDD (actually an SSD) activity, or that would tell me SOMETHING. I am wondering if it has anything to do with MODS starting up for THE FIRST TIME in a new game ?? This of course is not an issue with an established save game. I do start to get messages (about 3) from mods starting up when I go to a new game prior to the 'hang'. When ARE mods supposed to start? It seems there should be some kind of delay to let the primary skyrim exe to get established. {?}
  11. Hello, I am a somewhat experienced user but cannot figure out why I can run a previously saved game but cannot start a new game. The new came is starting with the same mod load/order as the saved game which has no problem staring and running. The new game 'hangs' at the point right after I select 'New .." from the initial menu. There is the Skyrim symbol logo, some 'mist' plays across the screen but it does not go any further. In MS Task Manager I see a relatively low cpu useage but high [ >2GB] memory activity. There is no HDD activity indicated. This has me kinda stumped! I am carrying a rather heavy mod load which is definitely a contributing factor but I cannot understand why the saved game starts and runs fine. I would reduce the starting mods and add them in later but I read where that is NOT GOOD. Does anyone have any ideas?

  14. After viewing the new Nexus Site design, and having been with Nexus for a long time, I would like to compliment Blacktree Gaming. First and foremost, the site is very professional looking. Many sites having to do with gaming mods and such do not put a lot of effort into the design or 'polish'. I like that Blacktree Gaming has indeed taken their role in the gaming world seriously and not only invested heavily in the IT infrastructure but also into how the product is presented. Since I do pay for premium services, I might be content to just not have advertisements. But the professionalism and presentation of Blacktree Gaming on the Nexus sites encourages me that my 'dues' are well invested. Keep up the great work!
