  1. Thank you, I found this guide https://www.sinitargaming.com/skyrim_se.html and will start from scratch. Time is indeed a factor - stability prio no. 1 Happy Holidays
  2. Hello anjenthedog, thank you for your reply. Regarding dependencies: I was wondering why LOOT was able to take care of the Plugins sort order, but not of the Mods? Best D.
  3. Hello, first I want to send a big shout out to the community - what has happened here over the years is remarkable to a newb. Thank you all. That being said I would like to share some thoughts: After years I am finally finding some time to try to mod Skyrim SE with the existing mods - having now a decent PC gaming rig which I upgraded just for such a purpose. However I am struggling a lot with my current modding installation approach and would like to ask for some advise. I want to make this work. Having spent the whole last weekend on trying to get it to a decent stage I am left appalled about: 1) stability, 2) ease of use, 3) the general experience. 1) I want to run Skyrim SE stable. a) What is necessary to install in terms of patches and b) avoid at all cost not to destabilize it. 2) A great deal of support / advise came from: https://www.youtube.com/user/gamerpoets/videos I have dealt with Vortex first, after that switched to MO2 as manager. Then came LOOT, after that some other milestones like FNIS. What really struck me is the dependency issue: what is necessary for what? Nexusmods does provide a short overview, but it is not intuitive. Is there not some auto-solution to this? Like why does LOOT sort the plugins, but not the loading order of the mods themselves? Is that not relevant? In Linux installers there is a way to auto-install missing dependencies, is there something like this for mods available? How is the user supposed to figure that out manually - with trial and error? 3) I want to enhance the optics of Skyrim SE. What is a good approach to that, i.e. what cornerstone mods should be used: a) for non-living props and b) for people? Sorry for the long post D.
