My game runs pretty well, most areas 50-60 fps. In tight areas like caves and houses I still get 45+ fps but my character jumps and stutters a lot. Any mod fixes or settings for this?

I had figured out my problems and my game is running normally now. Just not sure why Frostfall, Wet and Cold, and Racemenu make my game crash at Whiterun. Considering I've been using them forever. I didn't get to read all of your post because I'm dealing with some bad weather so I will give a better response when I can. Also I know my computer isn't the best, but it does run Skyrim on Low settings fairly well. All of this crashing is new, and like I said it was the three mods I had mentioned that were causing the problems. Since uninstalling them I haven't crashed at all, and my game has been running around 50fps all around. Which is fine with me to be honest. I keep my mods limited because I know they will bog my game down, I only really use things to spice up gameplay a little bit. But as I said as soon as the weather improves here and I don't have to worry about my internet cutting in and out so much I will read your entire comment and give a proper response.

Waiting on Interesting NPCs to install, that's the last mod on my list. But I don't think it is the problem. So it seems like Frostfall, Wet and Cold, and RaceMenu. If anyone knows what the problem could be with these mods let me know. I've been using them for a long time with no problems at all.

Got to Frostfall and it won't let me enter Whiterun. Which is weird because I've been using it for over a year. Going to keep it disabled and keep checking. If anyone could give me any suggestions why it could be Frostfall let me know. It is one of my favorite mods. EDIT 1: Wet and Cold is also crashing me at Whiterun. EDIT 2: RaceMenu is also crashing me at Whiterun.

Okay, all mods disabled, and while my newest save crashes, the one before that loads fine and Whiterun is working properly. I'm getting ready to go through my mods now and I will post which one seems to be the problem.

I used the save game cleaner and it still crashes trying to enter or fast travel to Whiterun. I'll let you know what happens after I go through all of my mods one at a time.

I guess I will try going through them one at a time. And yes I use TES5Edit and have cleaned all of my mods/files that have needed it. I'll let you know if anything turns up.

Anyone have any ideas?

I disable Beautiful Whiterun, that didn't work. I disabled Immersive Settlements, that didn't work. I disabled both, still nothing. Still crashing when entering or fast travelling to Whiterun.

I'll try disabling them and seeing if I can find the problem. I've always run these though and I get CTDs in other places too, but Whiterun is the worst. Never had them before at all.

Can not fast travel to or enter Whiterun at all. It was fine a few days ago.

I thought it was just from my computer getting a little too warm, but it is happening more frequently now. Mostly fast travelling, but also happens randomly a lot too. Mods below.

Yeah I figured I might as well. It's been probably 6 months or more since I've played. It's good to start things fresh. Getting CTDs every now and then which is new, I've never had it happen before, but my laptop is also getting a little warmer than it used to as well.

So I am pleasantly surprised. I'm averaging out 35-40 FPS in high traffic areas, combat, and waterfalls. High 40s to low 50s doing just about everything else, and weirdly enough 60+ in Dragonsreach. My computer has never run Skyrim this well ha! Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Well I've reinstalled the game, and I'm back to around 30 FPS running my mods. The only thing I'm not using this time around is the ENB I had. Can't even remember what it was. So maybe a mod file was just acting up or something? I'm going to play for a little while and see how things go.
