  1. Maybe the actual "stripping" script could be altered so as to not actually take away the weapons, but rather hide them and making them unusable, but not removed from the inventory and therefore not from the hotkeys? I dunno if it can be made, but it's an idea at least :)
  2. I second this. It's kinda tedious to have to reset hotkeys every time >.<
  3. @Sacrifyx: I saw two guys, iirc. One of them at least missing a leg and maybe even an arm, lying on top of a mine and shouting at me to get away, then the mine exploded and he lost everything, head and all! But yeah, I'm also liking how this is panning out so far, on paper :P And about becoming a machine; maybe you would have to take the Adamantium Skeleton perk first for that to be possible? So you have something to "mount" your prostethics on, since they would weigh quite a lot. Maybe it would even be possible to implement a variation of the Dermal Impact Armor and Dermal Impact Assault Enhancement from FO2? I dunno. Btw; I think we've drifted off topic here a bit... :P
  4. Or maybe, instead of trying to re-attach your own limb, you use a prostethic one. They could even come at different tech-levels. Low-level would just be a pegleg made out of whatever works, really (iron pipe, a shaped piece of wood, or maybe even a gun barrel?), and high-tech versions would be fully functioning artificial ones (I remember seeing a few Terminator-themed mods for FO3, at least. Maybe could use assets from those?) On a slightly different note: Anyone been to Camp Forlorn Hope? Without giving away too many spoilers, there's a minefield nearby where there's injured soldiers lying around, some without arms or legs, still alive and talking to you! Lips moving and all. I don't know if that's any good but, y'know... every bit helps?
  5. I remember this idea came up pretty early in FO3's history as well. And if I recall correctly, it was discovered that you actually COULD make it so that people didn't die when dismembered, but if they moved around their bodyparts would just "float" around after them. But maybe if you made people immobile but still alive, it could work.
  6. Oh, I remember that mod for OB! It did something like placing an NPC that looked exactly like the PC, "inside" the player instead of replacing the first-person body which is just a pair of arms. I remember that it added a whole new level of presence, since not only would you see your body while looking down, but it would also play all the different third-person animations whenever you interacted with something. The downside, however, was that the body would get misaligned sometimes and if you accidentally clicked on yourself in first-person, it would be like talking to an NPC, even if there was no one around. But anyway, would love to see a similar mod for FO3! :D
  7. Yeah, if your keyboards somewhat old, that's the most likely problem. Especially if E and ESC are the buttons you use the most :P Try to just plug in another keyboard and see if they work then.
  8. I believe this might be the answer to your prayers ;) Wasteland Tagging, by Skykappa. Basically, it gives you the option to choose between several paintguns, all loaded with different colours. You can spraypaint whatever you want :)
  9. Get a soundediting program and cut out the click at the end from one of those sounds you've already found ;)
  10. No problem :P I just think that it's important to preserve every towns own visual style :)
  11. Good idea! This has been much needed for a long time, imo. But if I were you, though, I wouldn't build anything at all up on the highway, since Girdershades "memorable characteristics" or whatever you want to call it, is that it's under a highway, not on one. We've got Arefu for that already :) And besides, there's no natural way to get up there, so realistically it would just be more hassle for the inhabitants to do so. It would be cool, however, if some of the new houses maybe were clinging on to the underside of the highway or something like that :) Just my opinion. Good luck anyway.
  12. Might I suggest Interface Mod - Revelation so far as UI's go. It's a bit buggy, though.
  13. Well, there's a Duke Nuken Player Voice mod out there that probably also would fit in with this ;)
  14. You might get more lucky if you use english instead. Not everyone speaks french :)
  15. I agree. It's really annoying when you're trying to snipe someone from a great distance with a sniper rifle, you're down to your last shot, BANG, and then you're character stops aiming to put in a fresh clip. But what I'd like to do instead is to see if I even hit the target, but then I have to find my aim again completely. Not to even mention the hunting rifle, where you have to find new aim after every shot! I want to reload my weapon when I hit the reload button. No more, no less. Pretty please?
  16. I have an idea of how it could fit in lore-wise. Have a vertibird come in and make the prisoner you chose move to it and climb in, and then teleport him to whatever location you chose. Then have the vertibird fly off, "empty,"effectively just having the v-bird hide the actual teleportation :) I don't know how to do that, though. I can't mod :P
  17. I would support this project wholeheartedly! Although I don't really have any talents to contribute with (I could be the guy that makes the coffee, orders the pizzas and so on [in the spirit anyway]), but I'm usually full of ideas and can probably be of some help in that department. I've actually thought about how something like this maybe could be done, and would love to see it realized :)
  18. Open up the console, type in "tm" (without quotes), close the console and voila! :)
