  1. I am a voice actor. I am a musician and do some radio stuff in my spare time, and I would love to do some VA for someone's mod. I am also a talented writer, and so can help with the burdensome trials of fine tuning dialogue. Have a very deep, but flexible voice, and how I love doing Sorcerers and villains. Just got a new mic and am eager to see how well it holds up. Is there any mod currently being made that is looking for VAs?
  2. Looking at ingame weights, Indoril Armor is much closer to heavy armour than it is to light armour, 20 units away from the same weight as Iron, 40 units away from Glass. Well everyone on the nexus releases every armor in light and heavy varieties anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter ALL that much. Lol.
  3. Just make sure your normal and bump maps are properly assigned to the new added mesh. No maps means no visibility.
  4. Sure thing! So far this is going well. My email is [email protected]. I will check back here occasionally.
  5. Fuuuu so was, say, Hedge Knight armor done completely in NifSkope? EDIT: I have never worked with Maya but I am downloading a version of it now and will see how that works out.
  6. I have Blender 2.6. It is wanting me to get 2.49 for those nifscripts. And that is the one that says Skyrim is unsupported. Can I not edit skyrim meshes in blender with this?
  7. Oh, and by the way, if anyone can tell me how to import nifs to Blender, that would be fantastic. And if someone could get me up to speed on what all this "Skyrim unsupported" nonsense means. It uses nifs just like Oblivion, right?
  8. Ha ha, not a problem! I love an opportunity to learn something new. You might have actually helped me with this post. See, if I can learn to amalgamate meshes, I will do a weekly release of lore friendly armours.
  9. This MIGHT be what I was looking for. Anyone else who has additional pages for me to read, I would gladly accept. If all goes well, I will try to have at least a beta of the Stalhrim up on the Nexus in a few days or so.
  10. Are you wanting them to be companions? I have every baldur's gate item of data ever released on my hard drive, and I can definitely put the sound files to the game. I can even make the NPCs, but if you are wanting a companion mod.....I am not versed enough to do the scripting for it, unfortunately. Find me someone who can, and I will make it.
  11. Well, personnaly, I've always tough the Indoril Armor have more the feeling and the look of a heavy armor (if I had to choose between light and heavy). But to be honest, it's clearly undefined. As far as I know, background lacks a bit of information about the exact nature of the material used in the indoril armor. So it could be put in the light armor as well. Anyway, it's just a matter of taste and could be easily changed in the construction kit. The Indoril armor, as far as I am aware, is made of a superdense chitin/steel. What with it being mostly bug bones, I would think it should definitely be light armor. There are enough vanilla components to put together an amalgamation that would be a PERFECT Indoril armor, and all it would take is some moving parts around in NifSkope. If anyone can tell me how to do such a thing, I will make it. I am an advanced texture artist, and I HEARD you can edit s*** in nifskope, but I am just not all that familiar with the program.
  12. I would not mind making this mod, however, until I can get my Blender working the way I want it to, I would be limited to a retexture. Someone pray tell: would it be all that complicated to use NifSkope to combine certain elements of vanilla armors together so that it is not simply a bland retexture? My first thought would be to use the Skyrim natural Glacier meshes so it would match the Aevar Stone Slinger Mace mod that is currently out. perhaps combining some fur elements with the Glass set, as well as maybe adding the ebony pauldrons might make a fitting set of Stalrhim? And to behughes, someone already did a stunning silver retex of the Ebony armor that looks SPOT ON for adamantium. Except the pauldrons. I think the Nordplate pauldrons would be a perfect replacement. Again, if someone can tell me or point me in the direction of nifskope editing procedure, I will start pumping this s*** out like Japan pumps out weird.
  13. I have been waiting with bated breath for someone to import Oblivion's "Royal Guard Armor" Mesh mod. Is this a simple process? Could I do it myself? I have been using Royal Guard armor for every game since Morrowind. If it were possible to make a Bluefire Claymore as well, that actually glowed like a torch like in the Bluefire mod ALSO for Oblivion, I would be ECSTATIC. WHO IS WITH ME? AMIRITE?
  14. I have been ravenously looking for some VA work. I have some pretty decent recording equipment, so I can record fairly high quality audio, and believe me that will go MILES. Because of my naturally deep, and sometimes gravellish voice, I am best suited for villains, but I have a wide array of things I can do with my voice. Spent years learning how to do impersonations, and it has resulted in me being able to do lots of voices without you being able ot tell it's the same person. But yeah, I would love to voice your mod. Get back to me!
  15. that's an awesome idea. kinda like Sheogorath, the way he walks with his staff. Actually, you may be able to borrow/adjust that script for it to work. Worth looking in to  It is actually a script that is in game that lets you do that, that mod just puts a check mark in a couple unchecked boxes. And I wouldnt even mind a replacer. I just think that any normal human being holds a withered staff like a walking stick. What would be BITCHIN' is if someone made you hold it in your shield hand, and do an animation similar to the Sorceress in diablo for casting spells. FFFFF I need to go and figure out how to do animations now. Gonna make staves awesome.
  16. What I am talking about is, take Saiden Storm's animated models of the in game Akatosh--with his permission and junk, no author is going to refuse big publicity--and slap a new texture on there, maybe an animated one, and some particle fire effects. Have it be a spell for ten seconds that changes the sky and weather for the duration, summons akatosh, he blazes in and kills enemies, and then leaves.
  17. If someone made an animation where you held the staff upright when walking, and used it as sort of a walking stick, and changed the running animation to that of/similar to the 1H Blade, I would use staves so very much more.
  18. Well, yeah, INTERIOR cells. But only a nutcase would really wanna summon a dragon in an interior? xD
  19. Really sorry about your nan, too, by the way. Just lost my grandmother, myself.
  20. Personally, I REALLY like the look of those new weapons. The staff looks like it should actually be in the game already. I might also add that I think at LEAST most of the weapons and armors should have scripted effects on them. Like someone else said, when you get a huge mod, the first thing you do is run straight for the armor and weapons to judge them. And if Dungeons Of Ivellon taught me anything, it's that scripted effects and 3D effects on a weapon will outweigh a cool design. And as my final opinion of the post, SOMETHING should summon the fire avatar of Akatosh for a few seconds.
  21. Kudos? For me? It's just what I wanted :'D
  22. Ahhh, sorry about that then. Like someone said some pages back, it can be difficult to not just pay attention to the last three or so pages in a 500 page thread xD
  23. Are there going to be any new lines up soon? Possibly Illian's? I know there are a bunch of lines on 24, but it seems uber pointless to me to give samples of people who already have voice actors. Note that they don't even have to be real lines. What game studios do is they have a set of sample lines that never make it into the game, that are just to get the feel of the character.
  24. This weekend I will work on recording some other lines from 24. If there are any other Illian quotes from that book, I'd like them though.
