  1. It very much does support fomod,

And you can deal with conflicts with the dependancies column, and click the red lighting bolt

After using that, you hit the deploy button, and it will put the mods in the right place based on the rules you set with that UI.

I mean, Vortex literally has an optional Advanced tab for more experienced users, so why not just put manual mod ordering behind that? Mod Organizer made managing hundreds of mesh and texture mods a breeze, instead of having to uninstall and reinstall everything in order, you could just drag the items into any order you pleased.

You don't have to install or uninstall things to get them in the right order, as you can resolve conflicts in Vortex, turn on the dependancy column in the mod display, and click the red lightning bolt beside the mod and you will get this

  3. - For the Tool window I'd love to be able to change the order of tools to my liking. For now the skyrim launcher to be first is nice but if you have skse I'd like to move that to the front.

you can right click on skse and click make primary to make the play button in the top left run that instead of the skyrim launcher i think, haven't tested yet.

  4. If there is a conflict between two mods with loose files, can I specify which mod should 'win' on a file-by-file basis when I install them, like in NMM? Or is it determined purely by install order? I'm thinking of mesh and texture replacer mods that don't have plugins so 'load order' isn't relevant.

There is a thing for resolving conflicts, click the red lighting bolt. HL7e4nQ.png
