  1. Above avatar it says newbie? newbie my ARSE - i've been modding since morrowind!
  2. Hi, Been playing with FWE for 36 hours and I've just turned level 8. Progress seems really slow experience wise (not that it bothers me, I quite like the way each level up now feels really worthwhile). But I am a little worried that by the time I'm finished I will be level 25ish, i have FWE at default progress rates (with MMM if that makes any difference) just wanted to hear your thoughts, is FWE defaults fine or have you peeps toned exp progression down (or up???) a bit - i'd be interested in hearing your thoughts thanks.
  3. Right your new to this so let me say this, usually included with mods is a readme on the mod. find out if you need all of those COT patches activated - quite often these are optional modules in large scale mods and the author includes an esp which activates all. If you have this active and activate optionals as well it will crash. Im not saying this is the case here but something to bear in mind - read into each mod youre installing well and youll do fine, enjoy!
  4. I've got followers enhanced plugin active on FWE and in game I can use the headset it gives, to give special commands to Dogmeat. But outside GNR Dogmeat just got killed against the behemoth. Now I did read in the read-me that some changes don't apply to Dogmeat - is he not essential with this mod. And if not, will marking Dogmeat as essential via console turn him into an immortal killing machine (I don't want that) FWE makes followers go down for 90secs if defeated before getting back up, I like this idea and want Dogmeat doing this too. Thanks
  5. I've been doing a bit of research and found that cleaning the official knights.esp as per tes4edit instructions causes crash on exit. I tried with each piece of DLC individually clean, load oblivion, load game, exit. No problems until knights.esp had been cleaned. Deleted cleaned Knights files and replaced with uncleaned backups game loaded and exited without crash - repeated process 3 times, each time knight of the nine dlc was cleaned in tes4edit then the game would crash on exit. Just so you know - install directory is c:\Oblivion - only official mods and patch have been installed so far no mods - all drivers are well up to date - and i have ample hardware for extensive modding - any idea why this crash would occur - my thoughts are maybe some of the so-called dirty edits could be intentional?
